Yay ;) Good work, although.. warnings for cheating? Should be instant permanent ban IMO.

You are warned that an hack tool has been found. You are not warned if your account gets locked.

False positives are the most common thing in any anti-virus program. Obviously anti-cheat tools aren't exception.

If I'm remembering right, some months ago Xfire was messing with the X-Trap program. Is Xfire a virus? No. But people were getting that message.

Personally I can't see how speedhacking or aimbotting can be fun.
What's epic is that some hackers buy ZP, wear SPOPs and Golden Weapons. Perhaps those people are uninformed, they should think that hacking is just an "add-on" to the game to get better. That's the only reason I can imagine, because any person with >80 IQ wouldn't buy ZP with his own money (and his effort to earn it, or just kids that ask money to their grandparents) and start hacking, acknowledged that he would eventually get his account locked.

But overall, I'm happy that additional measures have been taken against this bad behavior. Keep it up.
  • I like this (:
    Hopefully it works out well.
  • i hope that this doesn't have all the people that are actually good at this game banned. Staying that since there so good, could come off like there ha.cking but we all no they arent.

    Hello Cross Fire Gamers!

Z8Games has once again taken strides to improve the game and keep the hacks and hackers down.

First X-Trap has been patching numerous times. These patches for x-trap are working on some of the issues our players have been experiencing. XP64 should load the game fine at this point. And we are working with xtrap to find a solution to the mouse issues that some of our gamers are experiencing.

However this is not all we are doing. Today, we will be starting an automated detection and discipline process within our game. We have done this once before however there were holes and problems with the way we approached it. We needed more time and more technology to make this new process happen.

Unfortunately we can not go into full disclosure on what we are detecting. This would give an advantage to the hackers themselves. However we ask for your trust and understanding that we are able to detect a multitude of hacks that are being used in the game. But in the interest of complete disclosure and to stop the frustration, this process is not going to stop every hack 100% of the time. So please don't run around and make a bunch of threads with "there's still a hacker in the game". This process is ongoing and always evolving. So lets keep that in mind before the raging ensues.

We should also include that this auto-detection and auto-discipline process holds no reservations on the type of user. Whether the user is the highest level, or has the most ZP items. Or is an alternate account, or whatever the case may be. If you hack in the game, action will be taken against you.

The discipline process will also remain private. Mostly because over time this process will change. We will be starting with a set 'period of time' ban for the account. As we move forward repeat accounts will be met with harsher punishment. We can also tell you that this first step is going to affect a lot of people. Which is disappointing for us, but necessary to make sure that everyone who hacks this game understands that we can detect it, and take action against you. We take this situation very seriously and are not stopping until we're satisfied.

We log every action that happens on a players accounts. So repeat offenders are just as easy for us to find as the hacks themselves. So you have been warned (again).

This process is also happening in addition to our regular hack checking and banning process.

We understand that to some, the punishment may seem like we aren't doing enough to the hackers. To respond to that, Z8Games would like to make everyone aware that we are working with the tools we have to create this automated process. We want to change the mentality of the people hacking in our game. To one where if you hack you can't get away with it. And as mentioned, over time, the process will change and modify as it gets better, less hackers appear and the game cleans itself up.

We hope that you see the work that we're doing and that this next major step taken will help turn the game into a much more enjoyable place to play.

    Awesome. :)

    +1 m8 to this ^ and + 10 for thread!
  • It seems if you do bad your a noob and if you do good your a hacker. Now what if I get a nice multi kill on a snipers map, I'm guessing chances are were gonna get banned cause I know there is going to be some limitation to the amount of kills you can get rather quickly, Im assuming its going to be timed as well. So if you get 13 kills in 5 seconds clearly your hacking but if I get 13 kills in 14-16 seconds will i get punished?(IDK ACTUAL TIMES) not saying just me but the entire community cause there are times we get lucky do freaking fantastic!
  • Great News,
Finally the game might be back in the hands of legit gamers - I have awaited this day for some time now. Keep it up.

If you don't hack, you don't need to be worried.
  • Thumps up!

Good job! Everybody hopes that Crossfire will be clean of hackers soon.

    Saidin.
    Use "cry" instead of QQ.
You're the admin of the game.
    You disappointed me. :(

Now if you could only do something about useless post hunters clogging the board with usless jargon . blah blah blah blah maybe ban them for a longer period to

yeah , really hope this works
  • @Us3rK I hope its true, because everbody can have an lucky day^^
  • crossfire

finally im fed up with hacker's aswell as people who full well know they hack like speed hack but dont kick them
  • ok.........
what if the auto system banns someone who looks to be hacking but actually isnt and if so how can we prove to you we arnt hacking?
If someone is caught hacking how long will there first ban be?
and why dont you guys go with a new anti-hack system because people have been talking about x-trap bypasses on a forum i use or something like that
  • true that its like me on a ghost mode i get like 30-40 kills in a ghost mode with only 1-10 deaths i know that seems like a hack but its not i would not call myself a pro but im bad ass in ghost mode but kicked do to aprently hack

im not worried unless get banned for something i didnt do but true we do get some aswome kills
  • There are still going to be hackers...people keep saying "yay, no more hackers"....it's inevitable- there will always be hackers. If they get rid of a big percentage of them, they've done a good job.
  • Good job CrossFire team lets pown hacker noobs :]
  • what i dont understand is can u change the type of anti hack you use when u do a update and no more hackers u get a hacker in about 12 hours

One thing to note is that even if they hack on an alt, they do issue IP bans as well from time to time. This will not allow them to circumvent such with just a new account.

ip banns suck ass i know over 20 ways to change my ip adress a few of them ways perminantly
  • that's cool.., hope u guys are right this time :)
  • ip banns suck ass i know over 20 ways to change my ip adress a few of them ways perminantly
If you can change it then its not technically permanent.
There are actually very few ways to bypass IP bans.
The ones who work for games aren't free.

    Anyway. This is great news.
Looking forward to deleting all the threads about "someone hacked on my account and now I'm banned".
  • ip banns suck ass i know over 20 ways to change my ip adress a few of them ways perminantly

Against most its more effective than simply account banning, secondly those who can't have dynamic IPs have to use other methods, which are worse than dealing with the headache that ensues. Fact of the matter is, its another way the lessen the flow of hackers.
  • Mac Address Ban!! btw theres a hack i havent seen in a long time, this guy was shooting trough walls and killing everybody in temple ruins he got like 75 kills and 2 deaths.
His team tried kicking him but all the people kept pressing F12, so i think there should be also a minor punishment for those who press F12 i know im asking for too much but its just an idea
  • There will always be hackers in a free to play game,
however we are taking every measure to ban offenders
    everywhere that we see them.
GM's and moderators are actively looking for hackers
and making sure they are banned.
meanwhile, continue to submit tickets to report
    every hacker that you see.
