Sorry, didn't clarify that I do need Australian stock for discounts. Hence, I'm probably looking at laptops that are priced <1000USD in the US market.

Sorry, I guess I wasted your time by not specifying Australian stock. Alienware in Australia seems ridiculously overpriced - without digging very far, i7 M11 is priced at 1900AUD (Dell's website).

Was my main concern. If it had a high-end i5, I would have purchased it on the spot. What is the advantage of an i7 620M over an i3 330M? I've seen both in laptops I'm looking at, yet in terms of pure clock speeds it seems the difference is at max 400Mhz (seems stupid to pay a few hundred dollars for that)?

Would the only proper upgrade from an i3 330M be to a i7 quad-core?

BTW, this a thread should be in barracks. Screw proper sorting. It's more useful than 99% of the threads made.

Faster compatible front side bus, and it is clocked more efficiently.

My computer loses fps very fast at moments, and its an Intel 82865G, after checking the dxdiag. I already have DirectX 9.0c, but are their other drivers or stuff I can install so that I can maybe boost my fps? Gamebooster doesn't work for me.

you will get around 100fps in 8vs 8 room

I don't play many other games. CS 1.6.. I run fine on here.. I can probably run Micro Volts fine on a newer computer.. so just really something that'll work good for CF, since I don't play as many other things that run as bad.

ATI CrossFireX everytime.

Though some games aren't compatible with em, most of the better ones are.

Um, I mean technical reasons. I'm more software than hardware ... I only know that ATI can adopt two different cards from the same series in the system (Like two different 57xx HD cards will CrossFire togheder) and SLi needs two exactly same cards. Other than that, what are the technical differences in those two?
