really, you'd want to spend you're christmas break and even the holidays in china? thats ******ed.
what do you mean half of a school year wasted in china? you're going there for the one lan event which would be 2-4 days max probably spanning a weekend so theres hardly any school missed.
Additionally your time in china wouldn't be during finals/midterms so it would hardly harm your school semester/year.
on a sidenote, dont worry, you wont be going to china but i'll send you a postcard. -
this is pretty sweet but yea thats true lan events don't last that long but still missing 2 to 4 days in college in university is killer. you miss out on so much so you would probably have to plan ahead is basically all you need to doo. but still theres gunna be a lot of smack talk i would think around this event haha. but either way i wonder if i can get my team back together to doo this.
also the prizes are pretty decent for 2nd and 3rd too. -
3 things.
1) Those are really cool prizes, good job. But...
2) The time when the winning team goes to China is right in the middle of school session's, the players being in High Schools, College or University. That being said, I doubt people will want to lose half a year of school just to go play CF in China... Even though it'S really cool...
3) The tournament itself is during the summer, some of us have to work to get the appartment rent paid you know... Working and gaming have never made a good mix, trust me...
Basically, the prizes are great, gj Z8, but the time the China trip is set and the time the tournament is set up for aren't going to be suitable for many people.
My suggestion: Make the tournament happend when we're in school (sept/oct/nov/dec) and make the winning team go play in China for christmas! -

Enjoy getting used to 200 pingers. -
Perhapes you should re-read the prizes, and then re check your statement. This is a big thing, for such a small price.
A small price some may find quite large in many cases. I, personally, don't mind spending just an extra 10K... but my team are not prepared to do so.
Say the chance of winning is spread out evenly for everyone. I'm guessing 200 teams. That would make a 0.5% chance of winning. That's not very high (although my neighbour gave me and my team a 20% chance ^^), as a ratio it's 1:199 chance. I'm sure the odds are not like that. Some people who enter may only have a 0.001% chance and others may have a 15% chance. But we don't know that for certain, so stick with the average; might be a complete waste of 80K ZP that may as well benefit the whole clan.
I am sure we'd agree with 5K ZP per person. In that case I don't mind paying for my whole team (although I think we may have 8 so maybe not; 6 is max). But 10K? Some people just can't afford it.
A trip worth $3000 to China sounds excellent compared to 10K ZP ($8.99). But then again it's like the lottery. You have no idea who's gonna beat you to make you waste your precious money. -

yuo really think theres going to be 200 full teams? LOL
Hassellhoff will be winning the league anyway.

Parent/Guardians, similar to class trips. Legally, and for the tournament they have to be represented. But none of this needs to be discussed until the winner is crowned, and that between themselves.ucalled911 wrote: »the entery is 10k? omfg thats alot.. i want my clan (911) to join and win then i can go back to my homecontry and compete but.......
You have an ENTIRE MONTH to compile $8.99 USD and register. You can do surveys in the mean time, ZP is ZP....oleolebrasil wrote: »does each individual player have to buy the event ticket or can 1 player by them for his whole team?
Yes, one tournament pass per. player; 8 Pass Total per. Team.ucalled911 wrote: »is there a terny like this everyyear? cuz if there is i will join when im 16+ over to try to get to china (my homecontry) and play against pros from all over the world.
There's a World Championship yes, but this is the first year that NA/EU has the opportunity to attend. -

And who would "Hassellhoff" be?
I have no idea how many teams there will be. But I'm sure with a hefty prize like that, there will be a fair number of them.
There's no cap on the maximum number of teams, and a month to register...this tournament could become quite full.oleolebrasil wrote: »does each individual player have to buy the event ticket or can 1 player by them for his whole team?
Your more than welcome to purchase the 10K ZP packages in redeemable codes for your team. There's no rule that forbids sponsoring your own team. This better be brodcasted live ingame and irl.
The actual league matches, and playoffs being broadcast? ...Cross Fire matches & WOGL TV don't have a long running history of getting along. Let's hope the individuals didn't ruin it when they attacked us for the tournament finals. When the time comes, we'll talk about it...3 things.

You only go to China for the World Tournament, and that's only 2-days. In most cases this would be a 3-4 day trip; Thursday-Sunday. If the experience is worth it to you, ALL TEACHERS/CLASSES will accept a leave of vacation, and keep you updated on your studies.
"Working and gaming have never made a good mix, trust me..." -- I traveled to LAN and events all throughout high school from here in NYC, to Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles & Vancouver (Canada). Than graduated, pushed through college and two jobs...still gaming. It ultimately comes down to the person, and their ability to allot 'time'.oleolebrasil wrote: »the date for WEM 2010 hasn't been announced yet (atleast i don't think it has) so currently you don't know when you would be going to china (if you won)
Yesterday the FIRST thread appeared on QQ with a link to our thread, and the discussions had begun. As to this moment, there's been no talk of the WEM, or even qualifying in other countries. We're ahead of the stone on this one...
believe it or not, ENG_Cross Fire actually host a bigger net of teams for something of this nature. Other versions, their teams don't dismantle like the ones on this side; As well as the number of teams this side has signup just to try. It's typically the same 50-60 teams involved in all their events.i wouldn't suggest going to china. they have developed a resistance to malaria and we have not
I kid you not; Your given complimentary SAR's masks on the plane as you come off. Skymalls also include purchasable 'designer' masks, plus you can buy a variety of masks in the airport. PLUS! You must get certain shots as required by customs before you can flyout. -

You're pretty funny, hope to see you and your clan in WOGL, even though I got no clue of who you are. and 2-4 days are a minimum of 2 days of class you miss, meaning 6 hours of theory you lose. School>games, you might not feel the same about it, but heh we all have diffrent priorities, some their future, some trips to play games. -

Look, I was 1v1 Kahlan, and im a good player, and u know what? the scores finished 100-28. If we get a team with Kahlan, Blindrob, good snipers, bruce, styx we could win against the china and korea.
