Different people use different sensitivites, some use even 0-1 sens and some 100. Smaller mousepads provided at the lan will create a disadvantage to everyone who is not using high sensitivity. Allowing people to bring mousepads if they are lower sens players evens the playing field.

Shake my head :/ Please try to understand. I just want to mainly come to play for the FFA lan, I'm not a collector of knives and such.

There is also the option in-game to allow player's to change sensitivity. I'm sorry you feel this way we do appreciate your feedback- hopefully we will see you at future events. Unfortunately, this is the rule set that has been decided for this particular tournament. Feel free to post in suggestions with feedback for future local Live events :D

Yes but I have been playing crossfire with very low sensitivity for many years. It won't be the same, and I don't see what the big deal is yet, no plausible reasons from you guys why it's unfair to bring one.

And I was honestly really looking forward to the lan. :(

Yeah expect me there I’ve money to buy a flight to Toronto you make like 50 thousand a year no wonder you’re suprised
Cool, I look forward to seeing you there and helping you get the nunchaku melee on your account. Say hi when you visit the booth :)

Its unfortunate that this is a deal breaker for you, I think you would have had fun there. But, we cannot force anyone to go of course, so maybe you will change your mind for next event.

Yes there's an in-game option to change sensitivity. How does that fix our issue that if we use low sensitivity it requires a big mouse-pad to do a turn without the mouse getting off the pad. We don't know any information but from the prior lans from what we've seen from the Youtube videos is that the mousepads are small. If that is the same for this event then we'll be forced to use higher sensitivity than we're used to which will cause bad tracing. It's a disadvantage because we won't be able to control the mouse for aiming. For example, if we try to turn to clear a corner or flick shot instead we'll be doing a full circle 360 lmfao making us look like newbies. I don't mind I'm still showing up to play but unfortunately Daniel isn't convinced to come because he doesn't want to play for "fun" just to look bad which is something out of his control. I don't see why mouse-pads would make it unfair for anyone.

For future events posting information on the equipment provided would make things better. I hope everything provided will be good enough. Thank you for the replies and hope the staff takes these things into consideration to make improvements.

We will consider this for future events, thank you for your input.

Exactly, this is a first-person-shooter, this is not an Mmorpg. If you can't supply a necessary item to play the game properly, then you shouldn't create a rule preventing someone from bringing a necessary item to actually play the game. The game is meant to be played with precision, and no professional player uses a small mouse pad, that is not the way it is meant to be played. Sure, many novice players use small mousepads, but that is not the way the game is played for any experienced player (Low sensitivity is the norm for 99% of pro players). You're literally preventing people from playing the game the way it is meant to be played.
  • If even moderate sized mouse pads were used this conversation wouldn't be happening. And you guys allowed people to bring mousepads in pax south, lvl up expo, and raiders ( video proof), that is why there was no complaints. People just brought their own mousepad if they needed more space.
Either allow people to use their own mousepads or supply moderate-large mousepads. This is not an MMORPG, people actually use their arms to play the game, not their wrists.

Unfortunately, this event is for all players, newcomers and older players. All equipment will be provided. If it is not your most desired equipment, that is unfortunate but how it will be. Thank you for the input.

Hopefully you are providing the equipment to play a FPS game then, not equipment for an MMORPG. I'm just extremely disappointed if you guys force it upon us to use small mousepads like the ones used before when the option to bring your own is being taken away from us for the 1st time ever at your lans (This is the first time such a restriction has been put in place).
If you are supplying small mousepads then you are technically not providing equipment for Crossfire. You are providing equipment for basic computer usage and basic games.
  • Look-up what a gaming mousepad is on google images. Crossfire is a GAME. The thing you guys provide is so small and for basic usage for things like chatting with people and checking your e-mail.

You seem rather upset about this considering we haven't released any details about what we will have available. Take a breather, and if you plan on attending and want more information, feel free to send a ticket and they will help you further. However, you continuously seem to be getting more and more heated as this conversation goes on, and you don't seem to be understanding that what is set will be set. When our guys go to CFS, they don't get the luxury of complaining if they don't like the setup. If you do not like the setup, do not participate in the activities present. We do hope you will come, and we hope you will participate, and we hope that you do well. Any further issues with details that have not yet even been announced can go through our ticket system please, instead of getting close to being angry and volatile on the forums.

I am just super disappointed, I only wanted to show up to the FFA lan. Our guys that go to CFS get to bring their own peripherals, there's no room for complaining..

I'm sorry that you are disappointed. Maybe in the future there will be an event better suited for you. However, as mentioned, further complaints must go through our support system.

Are you going to ask them if you can bring your own gaming chair aswell?

The fact that you don't understand my argument proves you're fairly bad at the game. Obviously not. Going from a big mousepad to the one almost the size of the mouse makes a big difference for a player like me (or any good one, you wouldn't know, hence your bad joke).

Do you recall the video "obliterating OBLITERATION" ?

What time does the whole event start? Might swing by.

    Thanks guy!
  • This will not turn into an argument about people being bad at the game. You wanna prove yourself? Do it at the lan.

I think they understand your argument, but you don’t understand theirs. If they were to let you do these things, everyone would want to as well. The games are supposed to be short, there will be lineups behind you, this isn’t a competitive tournament (the ffa kinda is), it’s just a gathering. You don’t get your own PC, youll be rotating with multiple others. I assume z8 is only borrowing the equipment for the event, if everyone were to exchange everything, then I’m sure stuff would get lost. Anyway they’re just being practical, it has nothing to do with what you’re saying.

I'd easily get first if I had a decent sized mousepad to play on. I'll wait and see what others on friday say to see if it's worth coming.
  • hello , kanadian i found , something none can hacking into the game samba?

And it only took 19 seconds, but that's with 1 hand holding a camera and also letting the concept sink it step by step to the viewer. This is sad. It literally takes 3 seconds. And it would be just for the FFA lan so people don't gotta worry about bringing that with them the entire time. I don't understand how you're going to lose it. That would be your fault really.

The GMs are just being stubborn honestly, it's literally only for the FFA tourney and it's so simple. No cons to people bringing it, anyone can do it.
  • Hello,

As explained before, all users will be using the same equipment provided at the venue. If you would like to discuss anything else related to EGLX, feel free to continue to do so in this thread. Other than that the discussion about this particular topic is completed here.
  • Nice event sadly i cant join the action xD :'(

A mouse, a keyboard, a pc, a monitor, a headset, a mousepad, we'll even be nice enough to throw in a chair.
