With these timings are the games running in a competitive or casual format as in do you have to be there from the start or you can jump in at anytime?
Generally, Friday - Saturday will be Casual play, people will line-up and play. Casual you do not have to be there from the start, you will simply come to the booth at whatever time suits you best, line-up, and play. Be sure to stop by though- we have more activities going on this time around than what we have done at past events. Sunday will be the tournament. This will involve sign-ups generally and you will need to be at the booth for a specific time.whats the price for tickets at door? Tried searching, no results...
Yeah it's gonna be a long tiring day. I might have to plan ahead and stay the night at my friend's house and take the bus to the event the next day from there. Maybe too tired to drive lolhttp://eglx.ca/register
The pricing is on that link it's $5-10 more at the door depending on the type of pass.
I'm not entirely sure what the door price will be for the tickets, however from my past experience at cons, they are generally either the same price or around 10$ more as Tupac47 stated. Bring a little extra cash to be safe. Are all 3 days the same events/activities/giveaways?
Day 1&2 will be similar, Sunday will be the tournament. Can we bring our own mouse if we do not download drivers or use drivers? My mouse is plug n play.
Unfortunately, we will not be allowing people to bring their own mice this time around. We want line-ups to move swiftly. -
Sorry, I just found it funny that you’re trying really hard to bring your own equipment.
It's just a mousepad, hardly much equipment. I've been playing cf on very low sensitivity for years..it won't be enjoyable for me to play on a small mousepad and completely change everything for my aim. -

When you're used to using slow sensitivity and are forced to use high that's a big disadvantage so ofc why wouldn't he try to. Judging from some of the previous lans the mousepads were very small. Competitive players are used to using slow sensitivity while most casual players are not which is why it's a disadvantage for us. Why is it so funny? obviously he wants to be able to aim like he does at home if we're forced to using a basic mouse with a small mousepad it increases the chance of us losing. -

It’s alright, same with me, I’m most worried about the DPI they have for us, hope it isn’t more than 1500.
Well since I brought that up.... Cinder can we modify DPI with the mice there? -

A mousepad takes 3 seconds to place on the table and put the mouse you offer on top on..this would really change my experience if I could use it instead of the small ones. -

While some other booths and tournaments may allow your own peripherals, we will not be doing so at this event. Sorry! I hope you still decide to come
I just don't understand why I can't bring a mousepad that takes 3 seconds to place and use other than just the fact I can't. I'm not sure I want to drive all the way there and buy a weekend pass just so I can completely switch the way I have to play and not enjoy myself -

This is unfortunate, seeing as the nunchaku will be exclusive, you'll be missing out on a rare weapon, we do hope you still come out! We have these rules in effect to give everyone a fair advantage with what they are using to play. -

Different people use different sensitivites, some use even 0-1 sens and some 100. Smaller mousepads provided at the lan will create a disadvantage to everyone who is not using high sensitivity. Allowing people to bring mousepads if they are lower sens players evens the playing field.
Shake my head Please try to understand. I just want to mainly come to play for the FFA lan, I'm not a collector of knives and such. -
Hey Kanadian,
I know you already gave an answer on forums but I honestly think that you're thinking differently about it then how it actually is.
It's honestly as easy as having my mousepad rolled up and held in my hand and then unrolling it and placing it on the table while I load cf or during a match to place it..it would really make th event more special for me since I am so used to that.
So..Can you please just allow mousepads for the FFA tourney? 😞
Thanks for understanding -

So we can expect you to fly in from where your IP is located? Because that seems a decent flight according to what I have here, and I will be surprised and impressed if you do. However, we are currently not planning on allowing people to use their own peripherals, including mousepads.
Sucks then. Guess I can't go, and there's only 2 reasons which both have explanations. 1) Quickness of lineups --> Mousepad takes 3 seconds to lay on the table 2) Fairness of equipment. Except some people already use small mouse pads at home but others that use large ones to accomodate low sens have a MAJOR DISADVANTAGE. I get this is a casual lan, but this rule about mousepads makes no sense. Other peripherals do, this doesn't. -
