It does count cause im alread at 5 on my alt account and my main account is 2 away from 5, so it does fill it up.
As some confirmed Extra mission are recorded as monthly, however I would recommend you do Daily mission to make 20 just in case, you also get Free Crate for doing Daily mission and Extra Mission don't give it -

I mean that you can fill the monthly daily progress with extra missions.
I don't know if you can receive the crate with extra mission cause i didn't tested it in this event, i keep them for the dog tags
I will try with my alt account tomorrow and i will leave feedback.

well from what i understand from doing daily even for 500 gp old times, sometimes i get u finish 5th mission=u received 7 days of ...., u finish 10th mission u received=7 days of ...
so the monthly mission needs at least 20 days out of this full month, u dont need to do 30 days of march to get the ribbon, u need 20 days with out extra missions, cause i didnt use my extra mission and i saved them from long ago of old events, anyway, if the extra mission do double monthly mission, then i think u can finish this even in 1 days? but not make sense if u can do extra in 1 day, but maybe 10 days*2=20 days u can get the ribbon, that if the extra mission count for the monthly refill,

Is exactly like i said. In this event you can't take the crate using extra mission cause is registered in those specific missions.
Today's Daily Missions
So i registered an extra mission (ZM 120.000 score)
I played to test it out
But the result was this
Although like i said the extra missions count for the Monthly Daily Mission Progress.

If you are referring to this event? Then competing your daily missions does count on your monthly mission. If you didn't have extra missions, how would you complete 20 for the whole month? Don't have to do every day but you need to do at least 20 missions, basically an other daily one you do give crates.
Or you could be talking about something completely different -

It was weird because the day before was 2 wm gamesl lol.
3 wins isn't terrible when you have all these randoms trying to do dm as well. -
