Once you get 39th ribbon, you'll receive 40th ribbon Upto 48 hours later. So as well as this event Ribbon, the two easy ribbons you can aim for would be Purchasing the SPOP character (For a Ribbon) and Purchasing the Mk23. SOCOM and Navy Seal Character (For another Ribbon) temp M14EBR's still count towards that Ribbon as far as I'm aware. -

I thought you had to have 40 other ribbons and you'd get the "My ribbons breathe fire" as your 41st? -

This only applies to 20th Ribbon I believe.
I remember seeing my friend stuck on 39. Maybe it was a bug. Who knows. -

Incorrect. When I reached my 39th Ribbon, I gained my 40th a couple of days later. This was only around a month ago. -

Odd cause I didn't get my Shovel RD and the Ribbon for owning 40 Ribbons until I actually hit 40 ribbons. This was also just a couple of months ago back with the 12 days of Christmas and Ribbon Rummage ribbons. -

Weird. I remember checking my profile everyday after getting my 39th Ribbon then seeing my 40th Ribbon and shovel red dragon appear. Ehh, oh well. These things happen lmao. Maybe they've fixed it. We'll just have to wait and see once he/she gets to the 39th Ribbon and hope they update us on whether or not he/she gets their 40th 0.0 -

It is not incorrect, Virus is living proof of this. He has 39 and waiting to do this event for his final ribbon. Same for me in the past. -
Can't multi quote on phone, but my understanding is there was a brief period where someone must have been manually checking Ribbon progress and manually awarding the 30th, 40th, etc rewards once you hit 29, 39, etc ribbons. It was around Christmas time that you were getting, say, the 40 ribbon as your 40th instead of 41st.
I personally think Grumpy did it. Grumpy was taking care of support ticket during Christmas too (you know because you get an e-mail every time staff replies to your support ticket and it tells you if a GM personally responded to your ticket).
As far as I know, that's no longer the case. My friend is stuck at 49. So yeah, that's what happened 0.0
