Storage Capacity

Well, here's a little story...
I owned 2 permanent AK47-Golden-Knife from slaughter tickets, and a third, temporary one from golden boxes. I was about to send another ticket, went through my storage a bit too fast and thought I'd own 3 permanent AK47-Golden-Knife. So I told them, remove two. They did, and when the last one expired, I noticed the mistake I made. Sent them a ticket asking if they could restore it. The simple answer I received - It would be against their ToS to re-add a weapon to a storage, and after all, I told them to remove it. -
I bet this thread will just get moved by a 'kind' GM/MOD.. and that's about it, lol. If lightening strikes our heads by sheer luck, and they actually do finally listen to us, they might forward this old and popular suggestion to SG as one of the top priorities.
SG should either increase our Inventory's to at least 999 or even an unlimited capacity (this is the easiest option, TBH).. Or they should implement a 'Remove' system for ALL Temporary items/gears/weapons for all Modes and ZM-Tickets/BM crates, like they did to the ZM2 gears/items and weapons like this one:
They got the brains to do the above, they might as well go all the way and do it properly. -

We dont remove threads that are well thought out and aren't breaking rules. To be honest, its not a bad suggestion and it is one that would make many lives easier. However there ARE certain technical limitations to the game at this current time. I hope that changes soon just as much as the rest of you do. -

I understand that it's not easy to upgrade the storage database, but hey, on the other hand you got enough database left for all those crates you keep adding. And I'm just growing tired of watching my items getting removed even tho I paid for them. -

I didn't say ''you'd remove it'' lol, I said ''get moved'' as in, from Barracks to Suggestions. As you guys usually do. xD[GM]Kanadian wrote: »To be honest, its not a bad suggestion and it is one that would make many lives easier. Anyway, I don't think there's any excuse, to not make this happen.. an annual 'Billion Dollar company', can ''move mountains'' (metaphorically speaking), hence why they should be able to jump that 'technical limitations' hurdle if they very desired. -

Don't forget, it's the developers who have a Billion Dollar company (Smilegate) and not the publishers (Z8Games). -

Ya'all remember that bull that they fed us up with for so many years that, "We can't add any more of GP char crates (Santa Hat, Rudolph helmet, Pirate Hat, Witch Hat, etc) because we've reached the limit in our database of the number of people that can have these items in their storate, and if even one of those char item was added to an account, that would break our database.", something like that along those lines. And the next thing you know is that they randomly come up with the idea that, "Hey guys, if all those 'smart' people are begging for those items to come back, why don't we put them on boxing day sales?" And next day they appear out of blue in the 2015 boxing day sales for some amount of ZP, cuz why not monetize that too if 'smart' people wanna throw money at it. Well, that didn't seem to break any database or cross any limit, did that? And many more perm char items have been given out as well, like sheep set, etc. but the game is still going on and there's no sign of the database breaking? And if that issue is 'overcome' by devs then I don't see why those old char crates can't be added back to bm, even if its for zp, since we've been seeing a lot of old and rare stuff coming back from their graves for sale lately anyway.
My suggestion to the op would be that if you really 'throw' extravagant amounts of money on pixels, then stop doing that, they'll most likely wake up next morning and say, "OMG. Danah stopped spending huge bills on this game. Who's ganna feed our starving childran naw? Quickly increase the storage capacity that we've been holding up intentionally to keep people from realizing, 'I have 1045 guns already, why should I buy more crates of same reskinned weapons?', but now it's too late. I think that even if we were to sell each single new crate for 25k zp, these 'smart' people would buy them anyway. So nothing to worry about now folks. Just gib them increased storage or we starve to death. Hue." -
Doesn't matter. If SG would invest a tiny amount of money on a fix, they could implement it in every single version.
This also implies that every single version has people with so many items their storage is at capacity, which isn't the case to my (limited) knowledge. -

So this means I'll have to wait until a good bunch of players exceed their storage? -
From what I've heard we have a very high amount of crates vs other versions. Temp guns are more the business model elsewhere.
If there are 10 guns you want and they are all in multiple item crates you could end up with multiple temps from each one, multiple sprays, nc etc. And even multiple perms of other guns while you chase the one you actually want. Vs just going and buying 90 days or w.e of the 10 you wanted.
You can see how it builds so quickly ;-; -

You're right. But I've been experiencing this issue for more than a year, brought it up several times, and I still haven't even heard of any statement about it. So I have to assume there's no intention at all to start taking actions against this issue.[MOD]Andrew wrote: »From what I've heard we have a very high amount of crates vs other versions. The temporary items don't cause me any problems. Most of them are garbage anyway, at least to me. Honestly, I don't need another 7 day AK47-Camo. Except for a few grenades, sometimes though.
I'm not mad about them getting removed either. What I'm fed up with is the fact that I have to get rid of permanent weapons. We removed the temporary weapons many times, tested it, and noticed there's still too much in my storage, even tho (almost) all of the temporary items were removed. -

Thanks for reminding me bro. Never-the-less, Z8 got money for sure, they are not earning peanuts (they are partners with SG, right?). Hence why they should be doing better or at least SG should be helping them out more than they have been, in-order to improve our old in-game issues. -

Well if they don't want to improve it, it would be nice to see at least some kind of compensation. Not asking for a full ZP refund, but at least something. -
The number 2,147,483,647 (or hexadecimal 0x7FFFFFFF) is the maximum positive value for a 32-bit signed binary integer in computing. It is therefore the maximum value for variables declared as integers (e.g., as int) in many programming languages, and the maximum possible score, money, etc. for many video games. The appearance of the number often reflects an error, overflow condition, or missing value. In December 2014, Google initially claimed that PSY's music video "Gangnam Style" exceeded the 32-bit integer limit for YouTube view count, necessitating YouTube to upgrade the variable to a 64-bit integer. Google later admitted that this was a joke.
I assume this is the case for Crossfire's storage amount, but obviously with a smaller number, because 512 is is 0x200, presumably a perfect number for storage capacity. However, it's beyond me why this is not expanded further to, say, 0x7FFF as it's within the mandated range of int.
Now, a more important problem is random weapons in storage. Compared to others, my storage ain't that big, but some of my duplicate weapons (particularly Winchesters) are scattered around my storage. My 3 thompsons don't appear next to each other and neither do my DE camos. Sometimes that makes me feel sorry for Danah. -

Well that's the other huge issue concerning my storage. Ever since they put all the VIP's on top of the storage, it's been a huge mess. Really. My GALIL's are somewhere between shotguns and MG's, AK's are scattered between some M4's. and so on. Looks like this game gets some essential malfunctions once you start collecting weapons... -
I'm going to guess the support of binary digits for the database is too low to keep all those weapons in one account, so if it is overloaded, weapons would be have to be removed from your id to keep the the limit, simply. (storage problem?)
It may be due to the game having an outdated engine (cough cough) and therefore it cannot support a better database.
Honestly I don't know what the actual game files are coded in, but if I did, then others would also have an answer.
But I don't really know, just my personal guess.
