I think its either or, not both BL and GR.

does gr/bl side matter? i mean could do a knife round or something but still
overall and after some thinking, I understand this was rushed. but then again, my break started today, so I only had free time today. and to make scheduling and attendance player-friendly, this will be pushed back until next week, toward the end of the week (where theoretically many of you should be able to play because it's thanksgiving break, and these matches are quite short to begin with) -
I feel like one side is extremely favorable to the other one. Usually it makes a 5 - 8 point difference in my end score. I would suggest each person to play both sides to make it a bit more equal.
This is a great point. In ship BL side does have that prefire spot to GR's left side of spawn which the GR almost never has spawn shield, unlike BL's left side which has spawn shield. I don't think two games are necessary though(due to lengthy matches), but I think there should be a system that randomly assigns sides and next game if you had bl you will be auto gr and vice versa. So basically it's first time randomization and then the rest is just auto switches. -

What would happen if all or majority of the BL people won their first match. Their wouldn't be enough auto switches to GR side. Two games doesn't seem too lengthy to me either. I think the easiest and fairest way to play it would be to do both sides. -

I agree with this person. Playing both sides and just adding the scores would be the most fair thing to do imo. -

@fizzeq can you make a post where it's all clear, or edit your main post? Because this is starting to get hectic and annoying with all the new stuff.
edit: what about the match reports as well? how will those work, etc -

All right, here's what I want to happen. It is confirmed that this has been officially pushed back until next weekend.
40 kills Ship TD, no underground or upper-level access. Obviously all other rules apply as well. NA and UK players play on respective servers.
For a specific time, I don't have one, as we're all part of different time zones. I decided to push this back because I felt I rushed the organization of this tournament, and it was rough and uncanny for me to start. However, I think some of you (not most) have already played your first round match. That's fine, but please do not continue. For the rest of you, I'm hoping we can complete the entire tournament during the thanksgiving weekend. As for a specific time next weekend? I have not decided, but all in I think we could use the whole day on Saturday and Sunday (depending on when most of you are available).
I'm going to set up a match report thread (will be stickied, but closed until next weekend) so it can be used for reporting purposes. It's a simple report, pretty much post a screenshot. If you suspect your opponent may have cheated, definitely save the replay. Any other rules that you think your opponent may have broken should be used as a dispute against him as well.
