CFS Finals?

While we have the ESL league who just finished hosting one of the biggest CSGO lans ever? To me at least, it makes no sense that a league that only has 1 game under their belt run a finals tournament, in comparison to ESL who has multiple games. At least to me, the better logic would to go to ESL over ESG.. Does this make sense to anyone else? Or am I just crazy.
I want to step in here to say that we will be addressing these concerns over the next short while.
Incoming semi-long post.
We also wanted to show our public support for ESG and the work that they have done for CrossFire over the last year, and it's founding company members have been involved in CF since virtually the beginning.
We also want to note the distinction between NESL and ESL, and the differences between CS:GO and CF. CF is much smaller, and is still learning how to best approach the E-Sport realm. A lot of the initiative, and the prize support is coming from our parent company and the original CrossFire developers Smilegate. They are still learning how best to approach large tournaments and National Finals throughout various regions around the world, EU, Russia, NA etc.
NA has some distinct difficulties and high cost low return issues associated with the size of the content and the types of players within it. We have to overcome these challenges with the resources we have.
One of those resources is ESports Genesis. Their Anti Cheat has proven to be much stronger than many other AC's out there and they continue to conduct professional tournaments for CF, and we hope they will do so long after these NF's are done.
A few things we will be addressing in some upcoming news and posts:- Our support for ESG and the decisions why we want to use ESG when we can for E-Sport competition within CF.
- Our support for long-term established CF E-Sport teams, yes this includes ACE Gaming, and we also want to create ways which our company can be in touch with other professional teams playing CF to support them (streams and exposure and more).
- Our support for the decision to remove Carbon from international play (which includes the national finals for this years CFS). AND that the '1 year' is coming up which will allow them to compete, if they stay legitimate, at an international level later.
- The future of E-Sports within CF, and the continued growth we want to support.
- Lowering the barrier to entry into E-Sports, to find a way to compete on a casual and a professional level within the game and through our partners such as ESG.
- More exposure for competition, but more importantly more exposure for the players within the competition. We want to single everyone out and not just 1 or 2 teams. We want to promote the entire group and help them get twitch followers, and youtube subs, and give them prizes to hand away to their followers and to allow their teams to get into the competition.
Addressing these things is our immediate concern right now and you'll be able to look for posts and news and press about these things in the coming days.
Thanks everyone for reading. -

Any news on players within the UK being able to play internationally? -

So is there no chance of coalition between you and ESL for running CFS? Because at least in my eyes, that would make the whole ghosting allegations and other issues on ESG less prominent, as well as make up for ESL's weak CF AC. That, and ESG would then be able to use the NESL resources. Or is this going to strictly be an ESG event, even though the community has mixed feelings towards your organization?
No disrespect intended. Just trying to make sure we never have an incident that causes as much problems as the one with Carbon has. -

I think we should combine staff for the reason that teams from both leagues are playing in should have equal representation in the event. I'd be happy to chat more though about collaborating if you are interested. I think working together to resolve disputes and prevent them will be good. I think the only fear people have with ESG is past accusations thrown at various Admins (David live / Iceman) I think having another perspective on situations can eliminated unintentional bias and strengthen rule enforcement consistency.
As for resources you obviously wouldn't need to use our AC as you have your own, but we might be able to collaborate in terms of event publicity and broadcasting: IE multiple games live at the same time since we could use multiple production / stream teams. Like I said though I'd like to chat more privately about some details if you could message me on xfire that'd be great. -

This actually sounds like a good idea, let ESG host it and have the staff from ESL help out. As much as Polleus hates to admit it, ESG needs help. I have thought for a while that ESG needs more admins, not necessarily zzxq, i am sure other people would be interested in the position. Have open applications or something, because nothing is ever on time. Match comms are up late all the time, and support tickets take a long time to get a reply (just what i could come up with off the top of my head).
Also @polleus, you do realize most of the competitive scene doesn't post on here... right? A lot of the time you are responding to people who just troll the forums. If you talk to any of the actual teams/players that are in ESG they will say the events are better than the weekend cups of ESL. Everything is smoother in ESG, where in ESL they have a lot of problems with organization/anticheat. One thing you also have to realize is people aren't bashing how you set up your league or anticheat, people get angry because the admins make decisions that don't make sense or aren't consistent and are rude to people who are trying to give them legitimate feedback. -
Honestly I would respect Esg so much more if they were 2 get rid of this stubborn child they call ESG Mike. Now we have no way of telling that the Esg client does anything. They don't show proof of the ac doing anything(logs)(ex:michaeldrk). While on the other hand esl uses moss and their client which I'm 99% certain it works due to the fact that esl is a huge company. Even if it can be complicated to run, it just takes time getting used 2. But ya lets let an amateur company at best host the Cfs finals. Brilliant idea. Maybe the best option would be is to have both clients running.
The child even said that He thinks carbon is the best team. But ya lets just keep sending teams that have no chance at winning to china. Why are we making them sit out 2 cfstars.
Logic pay up. And Ian wants his 2.
