CFS Finals?

Honestly I think CFS Should be a non-league ran event. It should be a combination of the 2 staff teams to ensure legitimacy on both sides. I think ESG has a client specifically for crossfire so its easier for them to directly handle AC issues where as some issue I cannot resolve without contacting people above me in the NESL staff.
So I think the best online qualifier option would be to have BOTH staff teams present and have influence since the event is composed of teams that qualified from both leagues.
Just my opinion. Doubt ESG will want to work with me since I am very critical of them in some of my posts, but who knows. Bridging the gap could be good for both leagues in my opinion. I am pretty transparent about what I do, so I don't see Ghosting / Cheating being an issue if both leagues work together on the event.
At the end of the day players need to realize Myself, and ESG do the best we can with the resources we have, and go above and beyond what most people would be willing to do for Crossfire NA.
I agree 100%, but ESG probably won't let that happen. -

For the record, I think banning someone for attitude like this is warranted.
However, banning a team over a joke of a room name is not.
For the record, guys:
In the last major ESG event, Trio had taken a DQ screenshot, and - as a joke - made the room name "Favoritism". The password was "Kanata". ESG responded by disqualifying them from the tournament.
THAT is an example, Mike, of what people are complaining about. Because of ignorant, biased decisions based on emotion instead of logic.
Edit: And it's ridiculous that when I post this, I have to apologize to my team. "Sorry guys, I criticized Mike. I really hope I'm not going to get us banned from this tournament." -

The password was "acegaming", and now logic owes me 50k zp. -

I didn't ban anyone for that, maybe another ESG admin did. So I'm not sure why I would care that you brought it up. -

Really? Not your call, so you don't care what call was made? Your official stance is it wasn't me?
I had hoped your defense was something more substantial than the lyrics to a Shaggy song. -
TL;DR post at bottomMaybe ESL Europe, but NESL is a child company of ESL Europe.
And if Ace gaming wins, it is because they are the best this version has to offer. Just because you can't beat them doesn't mean you get to trash them. Honestly in my opinion I think Carbon is the best team NA has, but they are not allowed to play. So the runner up gets a chance to play, and that's Ace gaming.
If people spent more time trying to play the game and practice to get better, instead of making forum threads, they might get a free trip to China.
But let Ace do the practicing, that way when they win you can all cry how we were somehow biased towards them.
Not to bring offence to the eSports company you work for, but even the "child company" of ESL has more resources and tools at their disposal than you do. I just personally don't think that a relatively weak eSports company should be running events for an international tournament. I mean no offence, but logically, the decision should be to use the better company, which is ESL. While you are more better suited for the game via ur AC, you're company has an allegation of ghosting, and an actual account of ghosting. Which is worse than actually having people successfully bypass your AC.He's saying ESL is more reliable, and it's true.
This is exactly what i meant by it.ESG is strictly designated for CF. It would make more sense to allow ESG to host the finals because their anti cheat was made specifically for CF.
Let's be honest here, ESL hasn't even busted anyone yet.
I agree that the ESG AC is more user friendly, and may have better abilities of catching cheats, but at least in my opinion, if ESL had the chance to host it, it would not only be a good PR for them, as they just hosted Cologne, but to host yet another International tournament, irrelevant of the "size" of the game, would help their already great reputation as an eSports company.
It just annoys me that because ESG has forum Mods on the staff, that they for some reason had first choice over an internationally renown company. Nobody blows over the minor corporations owned by industry titans, such as Coke and Pepsi, so why should eSports be any different? Business is Business. Regardless of the outlet.
The whole point of this thread was to see how the masses (IE the people who actually matter, the competitive players) feel about who should run, or at least, have collaboration with for CFS. I may not win due to the fact I do not consider myself good enough to take on the best players NA, but I feel my opinion is just as important as anyone else's. If this broke any forum rules, I do apologize, but please allow this thread to continue and allow others to post their own opinions.
TL;DR sum up below.
That being said, while i may have made it a point to make it appear that ESL should be the ones running the tournament, I feel that there should be collaboration, as ZzxQ posted earlier. I think that having the ESG AC used, but having the resources and pull that ESL could bring would be the best option for attempting to revive this game, which is at its all time low over the past couple of years. -

Honestly I would respect Esg so much more if they were 2 get rid of this stubborn child they call ESG Mike. Now we have no way of telling that the Esg client does anything. They don't show proof of the ac doing anything(logs)(ex:michaeldrk). While on the other hand esl uses moss and their client which I'm 99% certain it works due to the fact that esl is a huge company. Even if it can be complicated to run, it just takes time getting used 2. But ya lets let an amateur company at best host the Cfs finals. Brilliant idea. Maybe the best option would be is to have both clients running.
The child even said that He thinks carbon is the best team. But ya lets just keep sending teams that have no chance at winning to china. Why are we making them sit out 2 cfstars.
Logic pay up. And Ian wants his 2.

Moss is easy to bypass, no matter anyone says lol.
Also anyone else remember being able to bypass ESL Wire back the first time they came to cf? It was as simple as renaming another program, such as xfire. Wouldn't be surprised if you could manipulate it the same way, or in a similiar form.

@XSL
You act like we haven't run any events before. We've been around and have run international events before for WCG and CFS. Stop making the impression as if we haven't. We were selected to run CFS for that very reason, because we have done it before specifically for Cross Fire.
All you guys do is spend time bashing us instead of actually supporting what we do. Why are we running events for you at all? The competitive community complains when there aren't any leagues, but then when there are leagues all you do is spend time complaining about it. It's a lose-lose situation with this community. Seriously, it's ridiculous. -

Oh **** off, leagues dont last here for no reason other than being trash and ran by trash.
Esl hasnt even payed out monthly winners nor done anything to cater their league to our preferences for optimal competition. -

We have payed out to our winners. As I've stated numerous times, we have a 90 day waiting period that I have no control over. As for "Catering to your preferences" that is impossible as everyone prefers different forms of competition. Whether it be a 1 day cup or a league. We have stuck with 1 day cups because leagues due to fall apart because teams in Crossfire NA are not consistently staying together to show up for matches. For example ESG has lost over there half of their teams in a League.
Like I said before, people need to understand two things about leagues for crossfire.
1 - They usually do the best they can with the resources they have
2 - Most people who work on staff for leagues in CF have put more time and effort into the competitive scene than you realize and do it for the communities benefit. So to attack a league / organization who SUPPORTS the CF NA scene (Which few leagues will) is pointless. The more you attack them the more you push them away, and then when CF NA has no leagues you will complain to smilegate that you have no good events.
I'll be the first one to criticize ESG if I don't like something they've done, but I'll be the last one to try and push them away from CF as they do have resources this community needs, and you would be even more annoyed and angry if they weren't here, because without ESL or ESG you have no competitive Crossfire in NA.
So the next time you say these leagues left because they were "Ran by trash" I suggest you to reconsider. I took over NESL because NOBODY at the time was willing to put in the effort and time to run their NA Crossfire division. It's hard to run a league for Crossfire players since they always find some reason to complain rather than, work with leagues in a POSITIVE way so that these leagues improve and stay around, instead of leaving because of the overwhelming amount of toxic feedback they get.
If you look at the past leagues we have had, ESG and NESL are providing the best events the game has had, yet many members of the community act like these are the worst events ever.
Did you have 2 leagues with consistent cash prizes 2 years ago? No
Did you have an AC for International Qualifiers 2 years ago? No
90% of prizing until this year was ZP.
You have the best prizes ever at this point in time, yet act rude to both league staffs as a community, and wonder why they seem to act angry sometimes. Its clear the community as a whole needs to learn to respect what they have. -

You admins are amongs the most pretentious and hostile people in the community. Even if we were to give "positive feed back" you guys shove your **** down our throats and say "hurrdurr you dont like use sending amazon gift card by mail with a 2 year wait period then go play another league" i mean with these tourneys capping out at 30 teams and half of them quitting i wouldnt give a shread of a **** either. Go look at esea forums, you think mods care if someone cries about the league? Stop getting so ass hurt because someone complains about something ridiculous, its the internet.
I cant recall last time someone complained about the league with toxic comments aside from beloved roth claiming first prize pot is too little. -

Bit more complicated to bypass Wire now. People do it or used to do it daily in CF Europe (bRn being the most blatant example but he 'retired'). There was also a Moss client you could download on any major cheating website which allowed you to choose when screenshots were taken etc. and no doubt it's still out there somewhere on the current version.
This is also a fairly recent quote from one of the developers of a lesser known cheating website, but it's still used quite often: "We don't support ESL Wire or Moss officially. But, our cheats will WORK on both anti-cheats. As long as you use Triggerbot only." Just triggerbot is enough for an unskilled player to easily make finals.
So yeah, it's fairly easy to cheat on ESL.
