This is exactly why I can't make any final decisions. My perspective at this point has been too warped to make any sort of decision on this. Anything I say comes off as overly defensive and when that happens mistakes in judgment or information are bound to be made.

Why don't you call juicebox over to decide, debate and discuss? it seems like you're mind is hazy with other work, which is acceptable and it is also clear that you're not the administrator we need right now.

As the contracted cash prize leagues that are operating, it will be up to ESG and ESL to make decisions based on whatever evidence they have. Or maybe new things will come to light to put this one to rest.

Who were the ones that decided to ban carbon from international events?

@ZZxq be quiet now is not the time.

if you're calling david 'disreputable' then I once again do have a problem with that. This kid worked hard to promote the competitive scene for CrossFire at a community level. Sure he made a mistake, that's what humans do. He accepted his mistake, apologized and quit. but he's still not corrupt.

We should be pointing out our fingers at people who actually deserve the title of not considered respectable to those who cheat, lie and find advantages against others (sorry carbon not trying to throw you under the bus here)

but it's been bought to my attention that the two core members of LifeLine dispute the chances of even acknowledging the idea ghosting on the forums yet there is video evidence of them talking about it.

I'll admit that of today there is no concrete evidence of LL ghosting

But those two core members, have shown that they are willing and HAVE lied. which ultimately leads them to being what you so called 'disreputable'. This only brings in the question of what more dirty stuff they could hav ve pulled to get advantages on others

    The "Best" mod?

    Best in what way?

    -Competitive?
    -CrossFire Barracks?
    -CrossFire Technical Support

See Denxi is a mod but he only does the Competitive side. (Hes not an active mod as of right now)

As for lets say Dot or Rory they do more in other sections than the Competitive side (I believe)

Dot lurks around the competitive section a decent amount.

True. Im saying that he doesnt spend MOST of his time in the Competitive side of CrossFire

We have a situation, which occurred in real time during matches (incident with Carbon) in which a situation was uncovered and then admitted to by the participating party and then action was taken because of that admission because there was insurmountable proof.
The carbon situation didn't happen in real time. The 'bust' happened some time after the event.
    [GM]Saidin wrote: »
    Here's what we know:
Disreputable members of the community have attempted to dig up information on an incident which may or may not have happened.
Sorry for being disreputable. As strat caller for the team in question, obviously I can't be trusted.
    [GM]Saidin wrote: »
You have quoted doop saying it happened, then quoted him saying it may not have happened.
Obviously I would deny it initially. Too much to lose, I saw what happened after carbon got banned. I was going to be the strat caller for instinct, and had a very good shot at CFS this summer. I got benched, and now no longer have any reason to lie/pretend my memory is hazy. Why would I purposely get myself banned for an action that I didn't do personally? even though I didn't object/protest to it.
    [GM]Saidin wrote: »
Now we also have 2 members of the team saying at one point they have never ghosted, then saying they would never even think about that. And then now what it would seem is that they have at one point put pen to paper on the thought of some sort of illegal action.
The same two members who say they would never consider cheating in a CF event, used ringers in CF events several times in the past 4 years. Refused to not associate with vN1H, when he used multihacks in their pugs.

We also talked about me ringing at the WCG canada lan, since I had cash to spare and wanted to go on a trip for a weekend. I called it off since sickpuppy was going to be there and he met me in person.

We can also talk about roth's 'brother cheating' on his account, or the replay that Skull Gaming had from a scrim versus x2. There is no point in that as that was in 2009.

I like both of them, but they aren't some pair of pure virginal maidens from the cloud kingdom.

Still way longer than the relevance of the information that was brought up at the time when Carbon was found bribing a caster to attempt to win a match.
So what is the timeline for relevance of evidence? 7 days. 6 months. 1 year.

I helped set up cash prizes for CrossFire competitions, after all these years, finally putting money in the hands of the people who wanted to compete for it.
Don't think that competitive cf is ungrateful for your efforts.

Also, as an aside, my apologies to David and Erick for confusing the two of you.
Don't worry neither one is very good at crossfire. Pretty easy mistake to make.

Once sketch uploads his bandicams, it will be a pretty straightforward case.

True, but while hes here I think he does a pretty solid job.

As I mentioned, I apologized for mistaking one person for another and subsequently mistaking that person as disreputable.

The decision for the 1 year ban for Carbon was for and from ESG. Carbon has been able to compete in ESL as far as I know. Since the ban is with ESG, and the CFS Qualifiers are happening with ESG they won't be able to play in a CFS Qualifying tournament during that 1 year ban.

I would not dispute your quote. But I don't think it provides enough evidence to support a ban.
  • leapy1 wrote: »
    Nope....

Wanna see who can down 2 6 packs faster @ LAN ?
  • Sigh.

Nothing I've said is based on my personal feelings. It has been a strict submission of evidence, and I've highlighted each instance where I delve into opinionated nonsense.

You don't quite do the same, making the judgement call that somehow a delay of a year is less of an issue than 7 months. Furthermore, you call Doop and Sketcheyes "disreputable" when they have the same reputation and credibility as Malte and Roth. Furthermore, Roth and Malte have already been shown to be lying (again, broken record).

But, the whole point is moot. You have 2 witnesses saying they ghosted, and video evidence showing Malte and Roth are willing to lie.

In other words, Erick, I actually do think there is enough evidence at this point. But, I think that there is still even better evidence to come.

Edit: And Saidin, this does directly involve you, as it involves Iceman.

if this whole ghosting thing is true, esg shouldnt be hosting the cfs qualifying tournament...

As I mentioned in that post, I agree that it does not provide enough evidence however, it does provide the need to continuously digging into this case.

Thus, Erick quotes does come into play

Sketch and I are now working with Mike and Polleus to provide any further evidence against Ace Gaming and co.

I really suggest everyone shuts the **** up about this until we prove it further. If you actually think there's enough evidence right now to ban them off this your judgement is terrible, and I don't think you would be able to administrate anything online or IRL.

If my memory serves me right, I believe I heard or read that you didn't see the point in this dispute for some unknown reason. But I once again, I could be wrong

Saidin, I appreciate your professionalism that you have repeatedly shown to the competitive side of this game. Even though I do think your team does show the lack of hard work in general.

Putting that aside, it would be genuine for you AND juicebox to appear when more evidence is to come out, which is presumably coming out this friday

You should make me a MOD. No joke. I could do it fairly with little to no Bias, and have lots of experiences running events. Its just a bother I know to some that basically all of ESGs Staff are MODs right now aside from mike.

I'd be more than willing to chat though if you are interested in trying me out as a MOD. I feel like I could do a lot for the community and bring a good new outlook to the table since I am running NESL for CFNA right now, and have other past experience in League Administration and Forum Moderation.

Sorry you lost your passion for CF's competitive side, but I don't blame you when its a constant struggle just to have everyone not at eachothers' throats.

Did you really just use this situation to ask to be a Moderator?

    Serious?

On a more serious note, I do believe if more evidence exists, that it SHOULD be investigated. There is enough circumstantial evidence to raise the questions of "did they really?" or "could it be possible?" and thus the need for more concrete evidence. Right now I couldn't justify bans based on what is public knowledge right now. I'm open for whatever else there is and will look at it just as thoroughly as anyone else.

Again, not making light of what's already out there. It's almost as low as you can get to even consider such an action. We will see what sketch provides on Friday.
