Clarifying the Armor Situation

Honestly malice, content is not only something community needs, but your team needs it as well. The main reason people argue rules on the forums is so that they can be clarified so similar issues don't arise again. I think wizdom was spot on when he mentioned that most teams would have rounds given to the other team not deducted, regardless of if they won the round, though as I said before, because they didn't dispute I thought the ruling was fairly made by polleus. I just think you shouldn't let the discussion of forumers get to your team in a way that makes you mad and then stop providing content. Yes you guys provide content to the community, the only reason people were mad at ayrin is because the way he said it was more like "We do a lot more for the community than most people" and that statement true or not just sounds really arrogant, even though Im assuming his intentions were not to be viewed that way. All in all, just keep doing what you have been, some people will always support, and some people will always find issues with things. Just don't let someones opinion offend you, when in reality most people posting have really valid points as to why they feel the way they do. Defend your point instead of saying "Until you guys are better we won't provide content" because in the end the few people who disagreed on the forums aren't the majority of the people supporting your content anyways.

As of now, we are going to stop all streaming and VLOG posting (I just finished the VLOGS yesterday since I'm done exams). You're all on your own until you brighten up.

You guys are all idiots. Let ESG handle this situation, it's not your dispute to argue with. If you don't like how ESG is running their events, then don't play in them. It's that simple.
And if Ayrin is acting "arrogant" because he says he has done more for this community than anyone else, he's probably right. I know for a fact that roth is probably the most active streamer we have in our version, and one of the reasons he streams is to advertise our game and our community. Malice doesn't just post VLOGS for the hell of it or for views. He does it for our community. Ayrin has made multiple threads trying to turn this community around. Malte has tried to making training camps to make competition and players better. And above all, they've represented our version at China more than 90% of our community.
Shut the **** up and get off their ****s. -

I'm sorry but you are the one that needs to get off their ****s..
"roth is probably the most active streamer we have in our version, and one of the reasons he streams is to advertise our game and our community."
YEA, and 95% of his viewers are from Brazil.. how are those brazilians going to help our game?
"Malice doesn't just post VLOGS for the hell of it or for views"
Just because someone says something doesn't make it true
"Malte has tried to making training camps to make competition and players better"
Yeaaaaaa. If he was really trying to help the community he would do it for free and wouldn't charge ridiculous amounts of money for some stupid tips...

Why would you stop streaming and vlogging if the main backlash you receive from this thread is from three people in undaunted? If you enjoy helping the community, you'd ignore the morons, and help the actual competitors. -

Pretty much every point I made was valid, and not hateful. Jordan was a bit harsh, but its one mans opinion and he is entitled to it. I just don't see a reason to stop doing things, because someone disagreed with you on a forum. -

If the situation is out of ACE gaming's hands and into esg's then why are you still arguing with them? There is no favoritism here. Youn9 man did not dispute, so the situation is over. Shut up and move on, it had nothing to do with you anyways. -

If you read any of the things I wrote, I actually agreed that the dispute was handled fine. My main issue with the rule set as I said before was the rule "Admins can change the rules at any time", because this rule leaves more room for biased interpretation. So if you are going to point fingers, please know what you are talking about, because I was never arguing with them, I was offering constructive criticism to ESG which was all stated with valid reasoning. -
I won't give you any special treatment in ESL don't worryI think it's just the fact that he said those rounds didn't count. That's just stupid.Really what should of happened was you LOSE those rounds. Meaning the other team wins them. Not that they never existed. Hell you just broke the rules giving yourself an unfair advantage, intentional or not. DQ.
Seriously ESG, this is just bull****.
oh would you look at that -
Implies ESG has given them special treatment...
oh would you look at that
As I said before, I think in some situations calls were made towards ACE that were differently handled in situations for other teams, but I never said anything negative at ACE gaming regarding ESG disputes as I know they cannot control how a dispute is handled. Audeamus is not me, so he can defend his own posting, which is slightly rude in tone. -

If you read the title of this thread, it's called "Clarifying the Armor Situation" not "Clarifying the ESG Ruleset". If you're offering constructive criticism to esg do it over a ticket on the esg website, not publicly in a thread that doesn't have anything to do with it. How was this rule abused anyways? You're the only one that seems to see it apparently. ACE Gaming even offered to replay the match, and Youn9 Man refused the offer. Please, open your eyes before you post things. -

I think the rule wasn't abused badly in this situation, but I mentioned it because malte had posted regarding this rule and I was expressing my dislike for a rule that leaves room for a lot of bias. The rule has been abused by admins in every league that has had the rule, because it gives any admin the ability to make extremely biased decisions "Because the rules can be changed at any time".
I also mentioned I was happy with ACE's response to the situation because they were kind enough to work things out with the opposing team, so I don't see why you are angry at me when I clearly agreed with the result. My only issue was if Youn9 man had disputed, ACE should have had to play out the remaining rounds, but as I said they were kind enough to resolve it with the other team.
So before you act rude to me, please realize that in my posting alone (not my teamates), I never once said that ESG's decision in this situation was a bad one, I just offered some criticism to rules that make leagues seem biased and also explained how a decision can come across as biased even if its truly not. Consistency in rule interpretation is important, because if a disputes aren't handled consistently the same, it makes a league loon biased, even if they aren't trying to be. -

Don't worry too much about what zzxq writes, he just likes to get his writing practice in. Nobody actually reads what he posts lol -

The rule hasn't been abused in the past esg series, what makes you think it'll be abused in this one? What does esg even have to gain from abusing this rule? Saying every other league has abused it is stupid, because "every other league" doesn't have the reputation esg does. So please, when a biased decision is ACTUALLY made, write six novels dedicated towards it. -

so Kyle can't express his opinion on a gaming forum?
??? Does it affect you in any way whatsoever? Didn't think so, let it go bro you'll be alright. -
Almost every League uses the same rule to some extent. Every league reserves the right to change and modify rules, they just don't state "at any time", but it's implied. They reserve the right to change and modify rules. Period. ESEA does it. MLG does it. Even ESL has a line in the bottom section right underneath the rules that states, "We reserve the right to change content and files on our website at any time without prior notice or notification". Does this not include rules?
I think that's all that needs to be said on Zzxq's points. The rule about adapting rules isn't changing. Sometimes things needs to be adapted on the fly. You can't always give prior notice because this isn't a perfect world. That's just how it is. No rule is adopted on the fly by one administrator. We always have multiple people who agree on a change, if it needs to be changed.
I already conceded to the fact that this particular rule was not written or designed in the best manner and that is my fault. I appreciate the discussion about it in fact. It brings to light what we need to change or modify to better suit these kinds of situations. -
Last post I'll make on here, because I am tired of saying the same things over and over to someone else.
I agree with the decision that was made, but I believe that the decision that was made did show unintentional bias due to being inconsistent with other calls. I say this because I have encountered situations where players broke a rule on stream and were punished even though the other team did not dispute, so I was surprised to see the ACE gaming was not punished in the same manner. I don't blame ACE or consider this favoritism. I think it is just a case of unintentional bias, because ESG was inconsistent with how they enforce their rules. If you are going to punish 1 team for breaking a rule on stream when the opposing team doesn't dispute, you have to do it to them all, or its unfair. This makes decisions seemed biased because if you can make a different or inconsistent decision depending on the team, it is whether or not you like it a decision made with bias because it was not consistent to a previous decision. So yes wow, even ESG is guilty of interpreting that rule and using it in a biased way, even if the bias was not intentional, which I believe to be the case here. You need to administrate with consistency, even if that means forcing a team that might have won anyways to play again. If you aren't consistent, its basically deciding whether or not to enforce a rule depending on the team, which is biased.
All in all, I did say Polleus decision was fair considering the 2 teams agreed, my only issue was this rule that is very loophole filled, and that the rule itself can unintentionally or intentionally allow for biased decisions to occur. That's why I was gung-ho about this rule being revised, which polleus mentioned in a previous post after reading some of the feedback some of the rules would be critiqued prior to the next event, which I thank him for taking the time to do. I just don't like when people try to argue with me without understanding the full scope of what I am trying to do when posting to begin with. I understand that you (wow) were angry with me, but when you didn't read what I had to say and responded with such a negative attitude, it is hard to even give you a response, because no matter what I say you seem to bounce to the opposite side with disagreement instead of putting yourself in my shoes and asking why I said what I did and trying to reason why people may also have the same opinion.
If I made anyone on ACE GAMING angry I do apologize as that was never my intention with my replies. My response was only to offer some opinion on the current rules and provide reason for why they should be changed and also enforced in a more consistent way, as to eliminate administrative bias whether it be purposeful or not. Sorry if you think I type too much, but it truly only is because I care enough about the longevity of this community, to voice my opinion to hopefully make it better. I hope that ESG and ACE GAMING can see and respect that. I can't defend the comments made negatively by my team or others who disliked the situation, but I hope you continue providing what you do to the community, because their will always be those who support you and those who don't. -

No. They were allowed before.
@ Peter_North - They won the game in question. Even with the one round they won with armour (Do your research, they lost 1 round and won 1 for those two rounds), they still won by 2 if you take away the round and give it to the other team.
If you're talking about a different game, why? Some random scrim isn't what is in question here.
@ Suko - Aren't you the one who constantly talks about how he's quitting, then stays and talks smack on the forums? Ironic, for you to say 'Does it affect you in anyway whatsoever?'
God damn it hurts me to agree with Anthony and wow, but they're both right. -
I posted my opinion stating that the rule in which the rounds where players have worn armor are just taken from the match like they never happened is ****ing stupid, and it really is, the other team should of got those rounds. Hell, what if that team got momentum off of winning both of those rounds if they didn't have armor, and then proceeded to win more rounds off those rounds? Making them win the match? Point is ACE gaming didn't receive any repercussions. That, and Ayrin coming on the forums telling everyone he does so much for this community and that we don't appreciate it, as well as saying that he apologized for his team (When he never did) made me literally HAVE to call him out for that garbage because that's just juvenile. Then again what did I expect from a CF player?

Uhm, he did apologize, just on stream.
And they do a lot more then other teams. What do you do for the community? -
