Clarifying the Armor Situation

  • I feel as though Young9 saw that Ace Gaming was the overall better team, even after they knew the faults Ace Gaming had.

Just think about it, if you knew an opposing team was doing something against the rules but didnt affect the end result, you would not dispute.

Now Im not speaking for Young9 but from my POV, if Young9 really thought they would have won without Ace Gaming using illegal items, then they would have disputed.

This is similar to the Conference Stage issue between Prime and Undaunted. Prime previously didnt have enough players in their roster to move on which is why Undaunted was set in their place. Well Prime wanted to keep playing, even though they said they would only have 4/5. Now if that was the case, any player/team with good sportsmanship would know that allowing a team with a full roster play is better than trying to win with 4 players. Although Prime got 5, I would have personally hated Prime if they keep playing with 4 players knowing that another similar skilled team with 5 players would have stand a better chance.

Now back on topic. What I am saying is Young9 is showing good sportsmanship with this situation. They didnt let any of their egos get the better of them.

Yes there were rules broken and I hope ESG followed by the rules that were in place prior to the match.

Replay the map? Really? Dont think so..

Is it just me or back in the good ol days when you had a spray or use the wrong gun whatever the rounds you played that with was taken from you and GIVEN to the other team. Not just taken away. 8-8 TIE do the OT bull**** and get it over with.

But I wrote the ocg ones?

On subject: Kanata used armor for 2 rounds, one of which was won, and one that was lost. The score at the end was 10-6. The final score should have been written as 9-7. The round they won while using armor is now given to the other team, while the other remains the same as it was won by the other team.

I don't know about the nonsense that the round just disappears, as that is asinine. However people complaining about it being a tie, are also, dead wrong.

Prime wasn't in the wrong at all, the league decided to delete them from the playoffs without for a second talking to a team due to rumors about them not having enough to play. Which is again asinine. As we saw prime showed up, with 5, ready to play. People really need to take a step back and learn to talk things out so things like this do not happen.

I know you wrote the original rule sets, but I wrote the later ones. =]

Also Yes, prime was right. We didn't deserve a playoffs spot. It bothered me more that a team that placed 4th got in over us, and also a spot was left blank in the playoff brackets. If you are going to let other teams into playoffs that didnt qualify, be consistent. Don't tell my team no, and everyone else sure.

You didn't get in because there were a clear 1st and 2nd seed in your group. The team was forwarded because the 2nd and 3rd seed in their group forfeited their spots and they were an active team in that group. It's that simple. You weren't even in the group where that happened anyways, so why would we take you out of another group and put you in theirs? On top of that, why would you be so deserving of a playoff spot over any of the other teams who were also in 3rd/4th place? You weren't the only team in that situation. You act like you're the only team deserving to be moved up just because a spot opened up. It doesn't work that way.
  • Only thing that makes me mad, Is the person who was the esportsgenesis twitch account commented on blitz's stream saying something like "don't make me count rounds, because of this" or something along the lines of that. I personally think something should happen because you guys saw it and its armor. Its not something controversial like a spray. That being said its not my league, and i'm not gonna tell you guys how to run it.
  • I had said that in the context of if he hadn't stopped using armor, there would have been enough rounds forfeited to hand the map over to the other team. I didn't mean that I wouldn't punish them.
  • It was the fault of our team that we may have lost two rounds due to armour and we will never do that again. The one round we wore it we lost and the other we won, basically making the score 9-7 considering we lose that 1 round we won with it.

I just want you guys to understand with the time and dedication we have put into this game through international competitions, VLOGS, Streams, Guides, every player on this team is contributing to making Crossfire a better thing and possibly a bigger thing in NA. You are not going to come across many people who are this generous and contributive to a community.

Like said previously, I am willing to replay any matches, any time, if you want to play than sure. If you want to play with armour or without armour sure we can play by your rules. Instead of writing posts and trying to weed out our mistakes realize we do not need to "cheat" to win. We are professionals at ACE Gaming and with the experience this team has we do not need to cheat or have any sort of advantage in order to claim our throne. Ultimately, we still would have won 9 - 7 and 10 - 5 making this entire discussion pointless.

Uhh okay there. I haven't seen any of these. They're not on the forums at all, that and claiming you're generous is just arrogant. Don't.

    Damn, so many guides.

Edit: I can tell you guys are constantly producing content for the community, and you truly contribute.

Dude, people in Alpha make videos more often than that, and they don't even see it as contributing.
  • 1 guide isnt a huge deal. Delaco made a guide video or 2.

Streaming is good, but it only adds value if you are doing something on it that benefits the community, which I can say Roth does sometimes.

    Vloging is your greatest contribution

I have contributed a lot too , but I have never posted arrogantly like that saying that I contribute more than anyone else, because you should value any contribution to this community as a positive for its growth and survival. Saying something like "We have done so much more to contribute than most people" is kind of not true and arrogant, but I do agree that you should have won your match and the dispute was handled decently.

My main issue with teams that consider themselves the best, is they tend to grow an unintentional ego, which in the end is why they don't stay number 1. All I can say is approach every situation by first being critical of yourself, and you will be less likely to do something to make the community angry, and furthermore it will make you better as well.

To be fair, they are one of, if not the, best teams in NA, and yet they don't have as large an ego as tons of other competitive players you'll find in this forum, most of whom are worse then these guys.

That said, it was a pretty arrogant statement.
  • If you want to play with armour

no, dummy. that was the problem.

apparently not enough since you lost cleanly to a randy team. good thing you have ESG D-riding and cleaning up your mess.

evidently, you do. why else would one be wearing armor?

god this guys ego is through the roof.

Ahh... Sir calm your T,i.ts down about being generous, we know you are a small 60 pound asian, i have seen great teams like csgo, and they dont come to the forums bragging about how genereous they are, therefore, i suggest you to get your estrogens check out or ur puritary gland.
  • The post was not meant to harm anyone's feelings but to only say that we been here to support the community and throughout these years and that we should work together to bring something better instead of trying to bury one another.

In terms of ego, I believe that I have it under control. I was some broke Asian kid playing with the worse setup ever and I never asked my parents to spend money on games. I had to play with a ball mouse for many years cleaning the insides every day and 30 frames on Crossfire. I worked my way up in this game and luckily was able to climb up the ranks and not one day was I not appreciative of the people who got me to the top. I had to play many years on and off in order to get to the competitive level I am today and not once during the journey was I told I had an ego, so it hurts me to believe that some individuals think I have an ego.

Through the many people I have met in the online community people who have played on my team or have met me in real life understand that I have GOOD INTENTIONS. They also understand that I am here to co-operate and have a good time. Whether it be sports, academics, or gaming I have always strived to improve myself and the individuals around me and not to have a ego. If I had such an ego than I would be sure that many internationals teams that I have met would have despised us but yet we have made some long lasting friendships.

I understand this is a forum to express people’s opinions, but the point of this thread was for me to apologize for wearing the armor. I also believe that when an individual criticizes another they should make sure they themselves are not being hypocritical and that their judgment applies to themselves as well.

You never apologized in the post.

Last statement is passive aggressive as hell. Don't.

It would be better if you just didn't make this thread.

Seriously. Nothing you've replied with has helped. It's just ruined your integrity even more. Your posts are littered with passive aggressive and arrogant statements, and if you think they aren't you're delusional.

I respect how you became a top tier player, and your teams accomplishments. I never said your intentions were bad, and I would say aside from malice, you have the least ego of anyone on your team, and yours is better than most competitive players. My post was meant to say, never let your ego get the best of you, otherwise it may be your downfall. Everyone has an ego in gaming to an extent, because they want to feel like they are always the best, but Id say yours is currently well in check, but there is always room to improve. Sometimes I think people feel you get treated better because your expected to win. I'd say in come cases its true in others its not, my main reason for posting here was to state that the rule "Admins can change the rules at any time" is stupid. No hard feelings and I know you weren't intentionally trying to be arrogant, you just got defensive over what people were saying and it came off that way.

Anyways like I said before the only suggestion I would make is to be critical of yourself before others. Good luck friend.
  • Make me amin I will ban every one so no violation ever
  • In the end, it was ACE versus Youn9. All of you who are complaining shouldn't even be part of the business. We told them we had armor and such during the couple rounds and they were aware of that. If they felt the need to dispute, then they would. It would then be out of OUR power to dispute against what we did if that were the case. But in this case, they didn't.

So for those who are butting heads into other match affairs shouldn't have a say. Because YOU aren't affected. The team we are playing against, is. If you feel that the admins are favouring us, so be it. We gave the opportunity to stream our matches to let people see and hear how we play, but it's just looking to serve no benefit.

As of now, we are going to stop all streaming and VLOG posting (I just finished the VLOGS yesterday since I'm done exams). You're all on your own until you brighten up.

I don't think you should care what other people think about you especially in the internet, these internet people don't feed you or give you any type of moral support, they give you the complete opposite plus you will never keep this community happy, no matter what you do because they are a bunch of haters, you do whats best for you, not for this garbage community. If being the best Cf player makes you happy by any means keep doing it. Anyways, we both know this community is garbage even though you wont admit it in the forums, but that's okay i don't expect you.

Malice you know I got love for you bro but wouldn't your streaming and VLOG posting be for your benefit and promotion of your team? I really don't think if you stop posting or streaming if would solve any problems but just create more, you guys keep the community alive somewhat with your vlogs and streams. Why punish the entire community because of some nosy neighbors.

Also you guys allowed them in your business when you decided to stream, they were curious to how ESG would respond. Believe me if it were any other team those rounds would have been lost and given to the other team, I am just saying. It actually happened to me before, I had on a turkey hat and they actually gave the rounds to the other team and we lost because of it. Some sort of favoritism was definitely shown but I do not fault ESG, they want to keep big names in their tournament to promote their name but it is definitely unfair. Armor vs a turkey hat and bag? Armor can definitely change rounds what can a turkey hat and bag do?

Either way let's stop focuisng on the negative and start promoting the competitive scene in CF to attract new players and new teams lol it's been the same people playing for TOO LONG!

Please don't stop your VLOGS and Streaming, it honestly doesn't make sense to.

    Peace

  • Honestly malice, content is not only something community needs, but your team needs it as well. The main reason people argue rules on the forums is so that they can be clarified so similar issues don't arise again. I think wizdom was spot on when he mentioned that most teams would have rounds given to the other team not deducted, regardless of if they won the round, though as I said before, because they didn't dispute I thought the ruling was fairly made by polleus. I just think you shouldn't let the discussion of forumers get to your team in a way that makes you mad and then stop providing content. Yes you guys provide content to the community, the only reason people were mad at ayrin is because the way he said it was more like "We do a lot more for the community than most people" and that statement true or not just sounds really arrogant, even though Im assuming his intentions were not to be viewed that way. All in all, just keep doing what you have been, some people will always support, and some people will always find issues with things. Just don't let someones opinion offend you, when in reality most people posting have really valid points as to why they feel the way they do. Defend your point instead of saying "Until you guys are better we won't provide content" because in the end the few people who disagreed on the forums aren't the majority of the people supporting your content anyways.
