Did you recently update Windows through Windows update?
You may need to do a rollback of some sorts, or to get rid of specific updates within.
It may be infected. You should double check with CCleaner, or even better with an anti-virus.
Lastly, as explained by TheShadowRo above, you may need to reinstall windows as a last resort. -
if I reboot my computer, will that work?
Not really. These are updates that were installed onto your computer.
Restarting the computer pretty much just wipes your RAM for use in your next power cycle.

Should I reformat it as in restarting to its factory new condition. -
Should I reformat it as in restarting to its factory new condition.
You can if you want. I think that should be something of a last resort because it will clear out your hard drive of any progress since then, like installed programs or saved files, word documents, stuff like that. -
So I reformat my computer to its factory new condition and my problem still hasn't been fixed.
I need help ASAP.
PS - Someone else is also having the same problem and posted a thread about it and he was running Windows Vista and I am also running Windows Vista.
Is this problem for Window Vista users? -
Ya I am having the same problem as well. I submitted a ticket but not reply yet cause there probably a bit busy with all the incidents I guess. Question if I were to reformat the computer how would I do that? You mean reboot to a time CF was working? This is my first problem with X-trap as well so i'm not familiar with dealing with em chaps.
If you could please give me a bit o assistance it would be appreciated.
I done some other looking into it as well. Some say it's a file (Security Update KB299 etc.)
Thanks alot -
Which specific update?
I looked at the ntdll.dll properties and found out it was modified at "Sunday, January 20, 2008, 9:50:16 PM" and I looked at the installed updates and the 2 updates from that date were (KB937287) and (KB935509) and both doesn't have the feature to uninstall it.
And I am clueless what to do now. -

Are you sure you can't uninstall?
What about recent updates within this month?
Check out this Microsoft article:

It's a separate process than from viewing within Windows update.
edit: I do recommend if you do choose to uninstall a windows update to setup a System Restore point prior to doing so, in case something goes wrong, at least you'll have something to rollback to  -
Alright I recently discovered this.
I use my laptop for CF but I cant play CF on it. I believe it's also connected to Windows Vista or windows but that I noted that on the main stream computer which i'm not sure what kind but I can play CF on it freely.
Know to the ex-mod would there be a connection somehow between these two? Perhaps I can look up and see if anything is particularly different in the situation?
P.S= Shouldn't CF try to connect with X-Trap to fix this issue as well say CF players with this issue cant find a solution? Are they trying?
Thanks -

trust me I cant uninstall those 2 updates. -
Yea me and nisi figured it had to be something involving the vista OS.
If wizard is having the same ntdll.dll trouble as all of us users then it has to be something involving the OS. I am sure they will figure it out but it is the patience i lack haha
