It's still the SAME problem AFTER the reformatting?

The file is more then likely on each service pack of windows vista or the disc/recovery method hes using is installing the service pack that is causing the issue. my personal opinion would be that the file comes with any vista system since it is a main file which cant be closed or the computer shuts down/reboots. Never messed with vista besides helping a friend over team viewer clean junk off of it and stop startup programs for better gaming exp.

    Try this 1st

Right click crossfire and go to properties and make it compatible with windows XP SP2 or SP3 click apply and then right click crossfire icon and click run as admin, post back results i will keep trying to help you as much as i can even tho i don't know much about vista.
if ^ doesn't work try below.

Go to control panel and create a new user (admin) for you computer, switch to that user and try crossfire on there. If that does indeed work then it has something to do with the windows updates or something, If it doesn't work boot your computer into safe mode and try crossfire

Also read on a different games forums (Blizzard AKA Battle.net) that ntdll.dll is something to do with internet explorer so here we go again with that outdated ie junk lol. They said on the other forums to disable all addons on IE and to get firefox or google chrome and to set it as default browser.

was something about this as well but i don't know about it. Rename the NLSPATH system variable. If your Windows system does not have this environment variable, skip this step.
Note: This is a troubleshooting step for this issue only. Be sure to set this path back to its original name if this does not resolve the ntdll.dll issue.

I strongly disagree sorry. Personally everyone who is having the issue has to remember CF Mods and the GM have a lot on their plates to handle. With glitches, hackers, and to bugs on the game as well as the X-trap issue going on. I also said I believe I read somewhere the GM was looking into the issue.

If they didn't care about it why would they bother to update the game and give out new modes etc :P

"To those who are patient will receive"
  • I see other mods helping other people with different situation but not this big problem that is happening to multiple people with Windows Vista and this needs to be addressed to the GMs!

I have sent a support ticket and no respond whats so ever...
  • we asked support over a week ago and still no answer
  • It's still not working for me. They need to fix this sooooon
  • If ur installing X-Fire...Just uninstall it...
  • still no respond from my support ticket and nothing from this thread and been having this issue for weeks now.

Seriously. you can only be so patient
  • Nothing here either, the least they could do is come on the forum and say they are looking into it, which obviously they are not
  • still can't get on due to this error and no help from support. I have put a lot of money and time into my account and get no help what so ever. thanks crossfire

Check the firewall see if anything may be blocking it and run your scanners boys.
If you give up on the minor setback know you will not be successful.
    Time and patience boys.

When you wait I am sure you will receive.

I really have to say CF mods and the GM are probably busy on a daily basis. Were not talking about a couple of support tickets on a daily basis will talking about something much more bigger than that.

They will respond I know of it.
