I believe the problem lies with your university firewall, not your computer's firewall. The easiest solution would be to proxy your connection so that you're outside the university settings.

But then again you probably made all sorts of changes to your computer without understanding what you're doing or why you're doing it.

Instead of randomly bumping just to get attention, you should update your status each time, include any new information like what you have tried and what has worked or failed, etc.

Just use google and well-verse yourself.
Talk to other students that may have already found a work around.
Use that brain of yours that you use to play CF instead of studying while in the univ

Random idea, probably won't be worth your time.

Completely format/reset your computer, destroying everything and starting again with a blank slate. Of course, you'll lose literally everything in the process. If this doesn't work, then it's your internet probably.

Update your computer. Go to the start menu, type "Windows Update" and update everything. Every time I get that error, its because of an out of date driver.

After your update runs, go to "My Computer" and right click it. Then, click properties. On the left pane, you should see "Device Manager", click it. Go to "Display Adapters", click your graphics card, and update it if possible.

Let me know how that goes.
