For newcomers, it may seem like a lot but for the veteran competitive players who also participate in other tournaments it might seen very little.
I am by no means speaking for Z8Games, but I can only assume that the $500 they sponsor for prizes is a starting point. As a business, I wouldn't throw my entire operating budget for a specific organization's (ESG) events at the first few events. I would test the waters and see if this is something that could be built upon after a couple successful events. If things go smoothly, one would assume that the prizes would increase as a result. I'm not saying that's what will happen, but it's a logical conclusion. -

It's saying all games will be played in Echo server , so is there any chances at the future events you will doing it in a UK Server ?
P.S : I know the game is focusing more on the NA side and no problem in that just asking cuz taking part in these things is gr8

Well during this tournament, if we can get enough UK teams to make your own group, we can allow you to play your matches on the UK server/work with you on default times, etc. At least for the group stages. The playoff stages will be on NA servers. I'd like to see one of the groups (4 teams) all UK teams. -

that's a gr8 option , so it won't be random we just need 4 UK teams to make our own group that will make us play in a UK server ... I can take care of that ^_^ -

Correct. If you have contact with these teams, please have them put somewhere in their ESG Team profiles that they are a UK team. So we can see that when organizing groups. Would help greatly -

The only tournament that would need you to travel is for CFS. CFS S3 will be I'm either late summer or fall. There will be a qualifying tournament for 1 team to have a stipend trip to CFS S3 in China. -

In the interest of increasing competition and legitimizing the tournaments we are now adopting a CF Stars international competition style of play! What does that mean?
It means that there are adjustments to the matches and how the tournament is structured. There will be group stages and playoff stages and teams will move on based on their group stage record. In addition matches are going to be in a "race to 10' style format similar to the CFS tournament.
The goal here is to prepare our teams to compete at the best level globally, since CrossFire Stars is the premier seasonal championship we want our team to be the best.
Going forward ESG tournaments will be structured similar including the qualifying tournaments for CFS Season 3.
ScheduleSign-ups: March 3rd - March 15thPrizes
Group Stage: March 17th - April 6th
Conference Stage: April 12th - April 13th
Tournament Stage: April 19th - April 20th$500 for the winning team ($100 mailed cheque to each player). Prize winners can be from North America or the UK. In the event the team is from outside this region, ZP will be provided.Lastly, Congrats to Fly Society for winning the Winter Series #1 and $500 ($100 cash to each player). We are in communication with ESG to get your addresses to mail you the cheques asap.
In addition, Bullet Proof Helmet and Vests will be supplied to the teams for the tournament stage after the initial rounds.

ESG Offers amazing legitimate competition with an amazing anti cheat. We would encourage our users to check out their website and get involved in the competitive side of the game. We've got big plans for the summer which will involve larger cash prizes, more tournaments and a chance for you to head to China to compete in Season 3 of CrossFire Stars!

Someone might have answered this, but how are EU/NA teams competing for the same prize? The ping/server difference won't allow it.
If teams can't agree to a server to play on, presumably the required server would be E8.
imo, in best of 3's/5's, you should allow the Losing Team to play on the server of their choice. -

In order to eliminate frustration and controversy we are forcing the tournament stage games to be played on the NA servers.
If enough people from the UK sign up to compete then they will be put in their group. This gives them the ideal matches between themselves, but ultimately the games must be played on the NA Servers.
This may not be the most ideal situation for players from the UK, but it does give a good UK team a chance at moving forward within the tournament itself. As we expand our tournament structure, additional events can be added including perhaps a UK only tournament (if we see enough participation). But everything has to start somewhere.
If ESG feels there are further ways to accommodate UK players then they will no doubt make the appropriate announcements. But if the decision is put in to the hands of the players there will be nothing but arguments and finger pointing. So whatever the case is, someone at the Tournament Organization level will step in to make the decision. -

"No region restrictions, but ALL games will be played in the ECHO server. No exceptions will be made for issues relating to your location. "

I think that they would be allowed to play on their server -- the same with anyone from the West Coast. You should submit a ticket and ask, though -
