In the interest of increasing competition and legitimizing the tournaments we are now adopting a CF Stars international competition style of play! What does that mean?
It means that there are adjustments to the matches and how the tournament is structured. There will be group stages and playoff stages and teams will move on based on their group stage record. In addition matches are going to be in a "race to 10' style format similar to the CFS tournament.
The goal here is to prepare our teams to compete at the best level globally, since CrossFire Stars is the premier seasonal championship we want our team to be the best.
Going forward ESG tournaments will be structured similar including the qualifying tournaments for CFS Season 3.

ESG is a Partner. So we are currently awaiting the confirmation of the second and third place winner IGN's from them so we can award them the ZP. In the same way we are getting the address and contact information from Fly Society so we can mail them cheques. -

Sorry can you just confirm if you mean that players from the United Kingdom can win the prize money or that still you have some reason for giving us ZP instead? -

I can confirm that UK winners can win the Cash Prize.
UK Teams (if there are enough) will be put into a conference separately and will be allowed to play on the UK Servers for round group stages. However the tournament stage of this will be played on the NA Servers. -
'MissA wrote:Suzy;3901086']Although im too noob to enter this, im glad your doing something for the UK players. Great Saidin
We definitely want to encourage any and all players to participate!
And we would love to hear your feedback on the level of competition, plus what it would take as far as a participation prize to get you involved. -

You could release a Tourney participation ribbon. Might entice players to join this one, and would be fair for non-UK players too, as they would also have upcoming tourneys. -

This would just make random brs create dead teams for a stupid ribbon -

We've definitely seen the negative aspects of introducing ribbons for when we want people to participate.
If a ribbon reward would be offered it would likely mean they need to stay in the whole tournament.
But I think a ribbon reward would be better suited for a larger scale tournament. The idea of participation rewards needs to sit at a level that gives you value for playing but not just "a list of all the things you want".
We could offer Free Kukri Royal Dragons for the same purpose, but that wouldn't achieve our goal.
What about increasing rewards, say you get something in the first round, which increases in every round as you play?
What about a point system that allowed you to earn points by playing, winning etc. Which would translate into some sort of year-end standings for your team? -
I think that a system of reward based on activity is far more effective than a system of punishment based on inactivity.
But, I think adding ribbon incentives would be a great way to reach out to the public community. Perhaps a playoff ribbon - for teams who make it out of group stage - or an amount of GP/EXP given for each game played. Clans break their necks for the daily mission; they'd be willing to play in a cheater-free environment to achieve the same. I think. -
'MissA wrote:Suzy;3901161']Even so, more tournament participation would be good, even if 'random brs'.
We got two points of view.
You want 1 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 prizes to be given during a tourney
We want a fair play tournament with good and decent teams with some challenge. I also think that, like a NORMAL tournament, only the first, second and third place can get prizes. -

I need to agree with my teammate. In last ESG (winter series) about 75% of the teams in group play were dead teams. Adding a stupid ribbon will just increase the number of dead teams. -

You would get that in the later stages.
I dont want anything , even with ribbon i would not participate. I don't personally care about ribbons, i was just thinking of something which would be fair, and incentive for others.
Ribbon for 5 Competitive wins? or something like that then.
Im just throwing out ideas, since Saidin asked. -
Not trying to sound greedy,but... can we have more cash? xD
Seriously though, can you guys justify why $500 seems like a good amount [ or sweet spot ] of actual money to give out?
For newcomers, it may seem like a lot but for the veteran competitive players who also participate in other tournaments it might seen very little. -
