CrossFire 2 is allegedly being worked on

I've been wondering, how did Online Games with Sequels (Like SuddenAttack) Handle already existing Accounts?
As in, did they just shutdown SuddenAttack 1 Servers and transferred all the Accounts to the new one?
Or is it simply an alternative Game altogether and you would have to Start over?
Because it would suck to start over if CrossFire 2 were to come out and none of your Stuff would be transferred. -

The result is one of two really.
Either they figure out a way to transfer all the items to equal or similar value to each user automatically. I think this is quite unlikely unless the new Crossfire incorporates identical guns and keeps the "version 2" part to graphics and engine only, in which case it is very likely.
Or, they run the two versions in tandem, which is actually pretty unlikely too.. hmm, well I think they'll do the first one then.
I very much doubt they'd get away with simply removing all the accounts with thousands and thousands of dollars worth of items on them and saying "but theres this new game, play that!".
And running Crossfire 1 and 2 simultaneously would make no sense profits-wise, unless its launched as a NEW (not version 2) game on a different platform.
Actually that might be the way to go.. -

I'm not surprised since the engine and the graphics is getting really old now. Plus, you also have to compete with new Free-to-Play games which have started to come out often.
They probably use Unreal Engine since that's the only other engine they have which they have the licence to use. Unless they get a new engine within the coming months which I doubt will happen.
I hope they can somehow transfer our accounts since I have been playing this game since the beginning and I don't want to lose 4 years that I have put into this game. -

and no it wasn't concept art.
let's hope the gameplay isnt' as different as sf1 is to sf2 -

If this is true I hope they completely transfer accounts. I would be pretty upset if I lost my 4 years of progress and my hundreds of dollars of weapons(I doubt they would keep Crossfire running if CF2 is a successful sequel). They wouldn't be able to find a value for blackmarket weapons that would please a majority of people because the spending range on BM weapons is too large.

Think about CF Europe, CF Brasil, CF China... all go to a new version?! I think not, i think its a big update ( graphic, engine etc...) for all existing Crossfire versions from Smilegate to make CF fit for the future and against the other game competitors.

This wouldn't even be out til 2015, if true, anyways.
I have a feeling the recoil will change, interp would still be there but would be better. Makes me wonder if b-hopping will be fixed? Would be sad to see it go, as it really is a huge part of the game -
Would be a good thing as it would require more powerful PC's then half the third world might not be able to play.:p
Not to mention xtrap out.
Cause xtrap is doing decent job. But rather i would love to see better protection than xtrap.
