Maybe removing the vote kick is a good idea, more power for HOST

ok how meny of you had said no with out reading
iam one a of the few who get kicked because iam not in a clan or have a big group of friends on the game.
i can see what is trying to be said some needs to be done over the vote-kick.
the has to be a way to make it that ranks can have a part .because i have seen lot of new players acc kicking ppl so why not remove the vote off low lvls that would help with some clearing of noobs voting out better players
add it where you can vote for the other team to stop team keeping the hacker on there side -

Look through you arguments, you really need guides on how to read and think.Cute, coming from a guy who can neither think nor read beyond his own egotistical needs.
Your suggestion is pure rubbish, plain and simple. And yet you still think you've got gold here. As I said before, no GMs are going to waste their time on daily reviewing over 100,000 players on their ability to be good hosts. Especially not when there are an equal number of hack reports that take priority over any silly idea you can come up with.
You're trying to re-invent the wheel, thinking square will do a better job. You're suggestion is juvenile and unrealistic. Basically you've been talking out of your arse for 4 pages, without having the slightest clue to what you are suggesting or what is required to realize it. You just keep going on and on and on like a broken record. Using terms like "script" and "sync", to make yourself look more intelligent than you really are. While in fact, it is these terms, and your inability to understand their meaning, that makes you look the exact opposite.
You can't make some "script" to do reviews that require a human eye. If you could, they would have done it 5 years ago to review the hack reports that come flooding in every day. But by some miracle you think they CAN make a "script" to review over 100,000 players on their hosting skills.
So a "script" to review over 100,000 players on their ability to play fair can't be done, but a "script" to review 100,000 players on their ability host fair can.
Right! And I'm the one that needs guides to help me read and think. Sure...
Good luck with your suggestion. Let me know when they've made you a "script".

Well only in competitions or events or some sorts I think. Yeah, I agree. -
Ok. So. Your idea is very cool and creative and i give u props for that BUT its not plausible. The complicity and time it would take to get anywhere near what your trying to explain. Its just not achievable in the near future and as someone pointed out, you CANT make a script for hack reports. The complicity to change half the games GUI to accommodate for this idea is a huge task. BUT i think some of the people here dont get what ur trying to explain completly so the host rep is plausible. Simple for the rep False = -1 Posative = +1 but to define each side to gain or lose rep would be hard without confirming the hack reports so i do say it is not gonna happen....

1. I don't like the way you partipate a discussion. There is no need to turn it into a insulting competation. Especially when it is apparent that you have not understand what is going on. Just plainly explain your thinking.
2. Please read the idea first before discussion. We have through all the steps you make wrong judgement based on partial reading or even just title reading.
3. Who said the GM has to review the replays for host ability for 1miilion players each day? And what makes you believe that review the replay means to see how the host hosting a room.
I guess your misunderstanding is about the score. This is not what GM or Reviewer gives to the host. It is just an integer to accumulate the review result
* host is always the player with the best score.
* host is the only one who can kick players.
* host has to submit report for each kick for hacking.
* support team are still doing the same, they simply review the replays.
* the review result will change the host's score.
- if he does not report it, he loses 3 points,
- if he does report it, but it turns to be wrong, he loses 2 points
- if he does reprot it, and it is correct and fast, he gain 1 points
- if he does reprot it, and it is correct and slow, he gain 0 points
- if he does report it, and he admit it is a false kick, he lose 1 points, support team need no review
- if he does report it, and the review team drop the replay for some reason (others already reported and reviewed, or autoban already catch it), nothing to change
So lets see:
1. every report is in the database, that is how support team retrieve them for review, and why you can see the support history -- in other word, the review result also goes to the database, but not shown to you.
2. same as game result (kills/death), the kick can also be logged in a table in the database.
3. a script to check the database of report and the kick log, is that hard? Just database queries.
4. a script to add points to the reporter based on review teams' result, is that hard?
===========================
Someone says that the GUI has many change, lets see all the changes needed.
1. Auto save replay -- replay is building up during your gaming, auto save just means once host trigger the kick, the temp file is saved as a certain name in a way easy to find out whom he kicked.
2. Add kick in the esc menu for host, then next page is current player list. For none host player, disable the button.
3. Remove votekick for hacking from menu.
4. Host change has an eye catching notice. And host screen has an indicator that he is the host now.
===========================
As pointed out, the system can not be effective immediately, but the first several abuser will lose the ability to be host soon. And someone outstanding the classified out, then it is more likely that most rooms are hosted by those guys. Even some of them degraded, we still have other room that you can join.
Because most of the reports are from the hosts, and host are the best with reporting history (kick). And most of them would continue try their best to use it correctly, support team should receive less reports eventually. -
' wrote:K[illa;3505879']Agreed.
The vote system does get abused but it should not be removed, not everyone abuses it.
The current vote system abusement, is mainly from the fact that z8 has no supervising on it. Any player can start the kick for whatever reason. Some of them believes they found a hacker, but they are wrong, some of just know they are not kicking a hacker, because no rule to enforce them to use it carefully, they don't need to worry.
The only way to improve it is to introduce z8's supervision on it.
z8 in fact already did reviews, the only thing needed is to give the player a score from previous reviews. This score, is simply an integer field that accumulate the review result.
My previous suggestion about vote kick is to weigh the vote based on the SCORE. I've suggested any successful vote kick for hacker must submit a replay by the starter, support team review the replay and the starter accumulate the scores, if his score is less than -10 (for example), he can not start a vote. And each player's vote is weighed by a factore derived from the score, simplest way, for example, use 2's power of the score. So that players with bad history totally mean nothing in the vote.
But it can not prevent random player f11 or f12 based on their own benefit not the fair play.
So the next improvement is to only allow host to kick, but we just make sure each host are not abusing it. Still will that score, he kick, he reports, or his score will go below zero quickly, then at last, he can not be any host, because in any room, it is very possible some one with better score.
Those who have high score can denied the right to be the host if he don't have time to report it. So the next higher score player would be the host once they enters the room.
===========================
The host kicking system I proposed has an issue, a host can leave the hacker in his side till the last moment. [if he does not kick and others report it, z8 either only give the report 1 point or punish the host at the same time]. But there are many ways that can remedy it. And even with nothing done, we can easily remember their IGN and avoid their room. -
BlackSmithSY most of your points are true, but explain how a 100 000 hack reports a day can be reviewed and verified. They can easily be logged and recorded. But not reviewed. Also the vote is not only for hacking. You forgot about all the times people are afk, insulting, harrassing everything else that you can be kicked for. Also 1 suggestion would be some sort of limit so people cant have TREMENDOUS power and kick whoever they want and have it barely affect their score. And at the start, all the bad people that have a score...when they kick someone who doesnt hack. It would be treated exactly like a real hack report and if it is only verified by number and frequency of reports, you will see legit players getting banned after noobs kick them. Also you point about haveing the host keep a hacker untill the last minute could be solved by a "host" on each team but it would be complicated and still have lots of issues.
-
nobody is going to read those walls of text. if you want to make a point keep it short and clear. and you can't disagree with everything if you disagree with everything that means it's getting personal
-
Your biggest problem is that a host can't be everywhere at once, and therefore won't always know if someone is actually hacking.
PS: I don't know who taught you how to speak English, but please go shoot them and find an actual teacher as your English hurts and is almost illegible. -

At the very beginning there are lots of reviews to do. But after some days (maybe a week), the reports are reduced greatly because random ones can not be host again. After 1 months it should be very stable. Hosts are not the ones who simply kick or start vote because 3 headshots. Once someone want to be serious about kicking, he would be picked out soon.
I also want to point out another fact -- the support team reviews the reports but never have a record for those who report. In other words, if someone keeps submiting wrong reports, support team have to review it every time. With a scoring system, support team can choose the better scored players' report first, which will definitely more efficient. -
I would say no.
I understand that kick vote is abusive these days. But removing the kick vote and giving more powers to the host is not very good idea.
Example lets say that host becomes some smily face and he starts the game with 15 players.A hacker joins the hosts team and start hacking. First he ruins peoples kdr, second after the game Host can kick legit players and leave the cheater on hes team( basicly you would rage) and easy win for him. So i know that this is good intentions game. But in this game it would be bad idea. -

If any player in the room has better scores than the current host, host might be changed.
If a host kicks a player for hacking, he has to report it. The report reviewing result changes his scores. Next time he is less likely can be host again.
