I get that but if you have updated data and someone is running the program, how will they get the updated data? Will they have to re-download the program? will it connect to a db?
I am getting at how you plan on getting out new data to the rest of us after each match.
they have to redownload I guess, maybe you can xfire me for a better idea , something thats cost free

K cool, guys so far SNSD,DWS,and Molson have been added to the program of statistics, wekwek will be added tomorrow. Thanks for the sign up. If you would like to see how it works, 1)go to this link: http://goo.gl/cmCIf
2)scroll down
3)download the thing that says "IZG TOURNEY TEST"
4)It is not a virus, all .exe files are seen as viruses.
5)See how it works, and if any ideas lemme know. There will be way more statistics, atm there is around 5 stats, but it will increase. This is just a test! -

Hey head,
I wrote a php app for you.
Essentially it has a admin side where you can add kills/deaths/rounds/name and it calculates fpr.
Then users can search a name against the db and it displays the info.
I just need to format the data and add a edit to the admin page and it should be all set.
It is really basic so your gonna have to hide the admin side in a folder structure on the server. I don't have the time to integrate it into whatever security measure you have.
*edit* Threw in a basic session check for the admin form. -

I dont have any security measures, why do i need it if all the info is public o.o -

So people cannot edit their own information in the data base.
Ill explain the app better.
Admin page: A form with kills/deaths/rounds/playername.
You can add a new player or update a existing one.
user page: Search player name
displays kills/deaths/rounds/fpr/playername
the admin page is only accessible by you.
The benefit is on the user side as they do not have to redownload a program with new data, you just have to edit it via the admin page. No code involved in the changing/editing on your side also. Essentially it more efficient from a maintenance standpoint and easier on the end users, the negative is web is slightly slower than a compiled executable. -

Im gonna have to check it out tomorrow after college, my program is a .exe, u cant change the code nor can you get the source code, even if you would be able to, people know the real stats are from the file on the site, the downside is the fact that you have to keep redownloading it -

I'll record a demo on my stream or something and send you the link. I just need to edit the data output and it should be ready. -

I had a 8:30 class this morning, I will get to it hopefully tonight after my mainframe COBOL class.
On second thought, I think im going to get a free server/domain and host it as a website. That way I can allow any league to use it. I can just provide admin access to the site for the time frame of the tournament and they can use it to store stats and then change it to allow for other leagues. Seems like a better idea for overall use.offtopic
