You have peaked my curiosity.
Are you writing something that records stats in match or from a replay (Or possibly a screenshot)? Or are you manually recording to a .xls and then parsing said .xls locally and then sending it to a shared db to display on client side? -

New change, since so few of people are signing up, the first tourney will be no cost to sign up. The 2nd IzgTourney will cost either 10$ or 5$ per team and I'll put the 50$ into the prize pool. Signups end on the 20th of Feb now. We are making a program for stats and it should be kinda kewl. Trying to make this an ongoing tourney so I at least want to have the first one.
Going to be contacting the teams that already signed up to see if they're still together. -

im coding something where if you type in anyone's name in the tourney, then you will get full statistics of that player for that tourney.
for example,
"Please enter the ign of the player in the tournament"
lets say you enter in "MitchRB"(If that was your ign)
You will get full statistics of "MitchRB", its literally a program. The reason I didn't like the excel file is if people were to look at an excel file full of stats it would get boring quickly. People want specific stats, so they just type in the ign and get them
The actual stats would be recorded by us, the ease of seeing those stats are for you, hence the program -

o ok. PHP based? local? Or are you gonna write it in as a admin module? and then have a form on the user side? (Sorry if i am barraging, I write php for a living. Just curious how you are doing it) You could do it with a rest server and then write a script to parse a text document or a excel file. it might be quicker than manual entry. -

I was just thinking of letting you guys download the program, its c++. My idea was to just put the stats.exe file up for download on the site -

how would you handle updating the program? unless you link it to a server database, the data will be outdated after each match. -

I get that but if you have updated data and someone is running the program, how will they get the updated data? Will they have to re-download the program? will it connect to a db?
I am getting at how you plan on getting out new data to the rest of us after each match.
