Yeah, pretty much. The rules are at a stand.
Theres multiple reasons why allowing axe is a bad idea but just going to name a few
1. Axe is one hit, so a good bhopper has no problem picking off a kill
2. Using axe requires very little skill as to using it properly since in all instances u mostly right click
3.the game is now unbalanced since since gr has loud weapons and an axe as opposed to low breath and loud weapons to balance out advantages. This means that people with originally no chance at winning a bl game now have a strong chance.
4. Two slash victories -

Unbalanced? Breath down may be fixed but it's still forbidden.. -

is it me or the creator of this post hasnt been saying anything since while +.+?
There isn't a need for him to show up since most of the time it's only drama going on here.
Minor questions we can take care of.i don't really play much anymore. look at my last play date; 21 days.
how's your league of losers tournys? give up yet?
In fact, he forfeited them. -
Given the fact that my last (failed i might add) tourny involving GM was with Knives and BD, most teams on BL simply couldn't handle playing even though 90% of silence guns were removed.
I think Contagion was the actual only real BL team that I Overwatched that actually did better as BL than GR (in a good way, they did well on both sides).
The fact most people prefer the axe? Simple. They can't play without it. The skill ratio involved is too drastic. Too many people not playing enough with knives compared to practiced GR.
But Contagion was the only team that proved and played that axes weren't needed to win as BL even with PP'ers. The rest simply didn't give a damn and let it come down to who had better GR rounds. -

i don't think axe --or anything else that's zp-- belongs in a competitive event. but these rules were made when bdown wasn't working. had to help the ghosts somehow.
if they changed it now, people may get upset/withdraw from tourny.
as far as max potential goes, i think a GP only rule-set allows both sides to compete evenly with each other. just takes a long time and frustration to reach that potential at BL and not many have done it (yet?). though i disagree that contagion (or the tournament) proved that. none of the matches were close to 100% fair/even. there's a lot of things/factors you are unaware of. -

Well, I did say it was a fail tourny. Only had what I observed, but out of all the other BL teams, most never won on such a side.
Course, the only thing i have witht he zp thing is not all the ZP guns are OP over the GP counterparts. Stuff like the M4 series, yeah its understandable. But say, the snipers in GM, seems a bit silly to ban for one thing. Just because you gotta pay for em. When logic speaking its generally silly to even bring a sniper to a GM tourny.
But to each their own. I personally think that the axe is rather unneeded for people who do practice. But guess looking for really hardcore detail balanced fair play is only reserved for real leagues who take time to ponder this stuff. Not small time user made ones.
So, in the end it doesn't really matter in that regard. lol -
It might not be that people suck with a knife, which most do, it's just that they're lazy and want every one of their right click swings to be a one hit kill.
They don't want to damage the guy and then try to attempt to get another stab at him.
I find using a knife better for me just because i bhop faster and better in general, I use an axe when i feel lazy and don't want to try. -

to me every little thing makes a difference. i see it every round. even things like fall reduction, spop, head items, extra mags, awm camos (over regular awm) etc can be difference between life and death which leads to round win/loss which leads to match win/loss. that's why i push for gp rules. i got nothing against zp, i have plenty of stuff. just wish we could filter it out for a change. pubs are always filled with it.
it's a sensitive mode and rounds are teeth and nail fights.Or people are way too GR sided nowadays.
yea headset is almost all you need. -
we all had a blast in your tourny. i would never call it a fail. by unfair/not even i meant things like people not having a decent headset, or players smerfing for other teams. things of that nature that are not your fault.

Oh I agree with the notable ZP items like those that give a notable advantage over regular play. That I agree is not fair at all and no tourny should allow such. Though granted, even things like extra mags (which are GP) have to be regulated due to fair play. Subtle stuff even in the free category has to be taken into account. As even some free stuff sets things a bit far over the fair play counter.
Though, the cosmetic stuff i generally just go 'eh'. That's something for their team to scream at them about for adding such a silly disadvantage to themselves.
Heh GM is a pretty hard mode to get right for sure, and with stuff being added it only makes things harder. (Not including any patch foulups to the mechanics themselves.) -
