Getting permanently banned isn't a punishment?

not really... most hackers have low rank accounts also if you ban a hacker even if it permanently then they just get a new account. so untill that get fixed (hackers keep making accounts) then the hackers allways be there.
making it that people cant keep making accounts would do alot more then the x-trap updates. but everyone know that z8 wont do something like that.
  • This "system" has been suggested many times before, the community doesn't like it, and it won't happen. End of debate.
  • Current system as you all can see do not work - so I came with idea with could work,
hackers slip the x-trap check, and able to play and cheat.

They will be treaten 'not fair' ? So 'fair' is that they cheat and ruin the gameplay
    but punish them is 'not-fair'?

In some countries public mark the criminals is used as a form of punishment,
what is even more effective than fines.
IMHO shame is a good motivator to stop cheaters, hat maybe make then to think twice
    before they will cheat again.

Hacking is equivalent to murdering someone? LOL WUT.

It's the worst thing you can do given this situation. Granted, it's a bit extreme, but you can't go worse than hacking in a game. Similarly, you can't go worse than murdering someone in real life.

But still people are keeping this thread up..

Everything that has to be said, has already been said by Frozen and Bawbs, this will never be added and therefore there's no sense in discussing about it.

EDIT: Most people that got banned for hacking before created a new account to hack with it, that's why most hackers are low ranks, they wouldn't have the tag "Hacker" in their profile and could still be hacking.
  • to be honest I think it would be a good way to deter people from hacking. Also to stop account sharing make it so that any account the hackers IP logs in to would also get the mark. I think it would deter those people who are annoyed with hackers and are immature enough to think 'well if they are why shouldn't I'.
    It wont happen though.
  • All your idea does is mark certain players, not actually get rid of the main problem.

You are speaking from a biased opinion.

And like someone said, whats the point in having a "label" when the get banned and make a new account the next hour?

What this label does is makes the player not be able to play within certain people meaning he would have two choices, hack or quit, which are both unfavorable outcomes.
  • there is no solution to any hacking problem in a FPS game other than to find the little nerd hiding in a hut in vietnam coding the hack and molotov c0cktail them.

it would help if those who hack cant keep making accounts...
it would be a solution well for most of it. but each fps game got hackers.
  • I had my HS Ribbon taken away due to a simply Background program I had open. So this would be a bad idea for me... D:
  • If we made a limit on how many accounts you can make on a computer it could solve so many things.

    1.) Hacking on remade accounts
    2.) Farming on other accounts
3.) Reduce GP farming by the friend invite system.
    and Ect ect.

Since most BRs aren't too bright they probably wouldn't know about the rule unless they are an active farmer... Actually this goes for all of them.

Again - why You all connect my idea with HS ribbon - I'm aware that some people lost
their HS becouse of others situation, not only hacks - but I belive that Support have any
data information who were reported&baned for hack/glitch - and only those should recive an
'cheater' info in their Honour tab.

Despite few objections, I still belive that it's a good idea - with will help to prevent
    or discourage cheaters from cheating/hacking.

    Stop. Bumping. This. Thread.

It's an awful idea that does nothing to solve the hacking issue, and simply leaves past offenders with no chance of starting over. If hackers get banned anyways, why make this suggestion? Hackers will simply make new accounts the moment they get banned, whether it be temporarily or permanently.

This is an awful idea, whether or not you think that it's good. You've suggested no changes that would make this suggestion any more fair, and have instead gone rambling for the past 5 pages on the same stuff every single time. You haven't addressed anything that Syther or I have posted, and until you do that and give a good explanation as to why people don't deserve that second chance, this isn't going to happen.

    /thread.
