Mod Applicant Support!

My vote goes to Simrock who would also be a perfect replacement for someone that's here already
And 9 quit letting your personal issues overshadow your position and judgement, as a MOD you are suppose to know better than trying to insulting someone (Gunman) even if you aren't saying it directly, you sure are saying it "suggestively and indirectly" and everyone can see it.
Anyways so far, TalonBlaze = best mod here -

Basically this. I understand that 9 and GG have had some arguments, but 9's opinion towards Gods is very biased and unfair for Gods. His past behaviour may have been just as rude, but as a MOD I don't see why you would be doing this back. Gods seems to have changed after his ban, and hopefully this positive behaviour will continue.
Talonblaze from what I've seen is the most non-judgmental, active, and still informational MOD as of now. -
Good luck to all applicants, hopefully this mod application process is not looked at as of a popularity contest but rather than a way for z8 staff to find a suitable mod to help their team out.
On giving out support it would have to be for both Denxi and FG Jon. Based on their knowledge and personality which I believe can help the z8 forums out. -

I like how more than half of those things aren't true. If not any of them. -
It seems this voting process is almost a popularity contest imo. I mean is anyone actually reading the applications in the other thread? There are a lot of other promising people. Once again, imo, post count doesn't really tell much.
From the first few pages I skimmed I really liked these people (no specific order):
thisgameowns: http://forum.z8games.com/showpost.php?p=2937393&postcount=26
vadersd3mise: http://forum.z8games.com/showpost.php?p=2937468&postcount=31
Denxi: http://forum.z8games.com/showpost.php?p=2937769&postcount=46
Rationalist: http://forum.z8games.com/showpost.php?p=2937949&postcount=52
Imo these guys seem like chill people who can also get the job done. I personally do not post a lot but I do "lurk" and I wouldn't mind if one or more of these people mod the forums.
Just my two cents. -

There is no voting process. -

What I mean was; everyone is choosing people who post a lot. In my opinion, its not how much someone posts that makes them a good leader. There are a lot of people in the applications section that have less than 1,000 posts, and they probably will never even get considered, besides the 2 people I put in my previous post. -

Probably because the lower your post count, the less trustworthy you are. The GMs and MODs take account the number of quality posts you make, and see overall whether or not you're suitable for a MOD spot, as well as whether or not you're involved in the community. Those with less posts are harder to identify as being helpful or not. -
Just because I like to drop in occasionally to post every couple months.
My opinion is simply based on past posting history, board activity, time zone and quality of the application.

GodsGunman - (A note here. Specifically having to point out you had issues with current moderators means you have a loose mouth. This is not a bad thing, as you might have valid reasons. Even so, that means you might not have the capability to control your emotion. Some can, some cannot.)
Being a Mod for Z8 is difficult sometimes, but it is rewarding if you want it to be. I always had fun with it.
Good luck to all the Applicants! -

Because GMs don't trust the lower post count people. Someone can just make an account right now and be a suck up and get a couple of posts and have a chance of being a MOD since the GM's don't know it is like say a big time hacker as a MOD.. -

Not true.
You can have 250 posts and be selected. Once your active for more then 5-6 months, there is no reason not to be directly considered. Post quantity and post quality are two different factors. -

I said couple as in like 20-90 as in most people who applied are. I know talon who had like 300 post counts and became mod. -

Gotcha.
Talon did have to donate to the Moderator cookie fund to my understanding. He baked for 20 days straight. Made terrible Oatmeal cookies. -

What Delaco says is indeed true, as I am a perfect example of that very case. I think I was around the 200-300 post mark when I became a MOD. I wasn't very visible on the forums compared to many others I thought would get it. (Personally I never expected to get it.)
It's not a popularity contest, this thread is merely for people to express their opinions (like yourself) about candidates. Ultimately its up to the staff, and they take in alot more consideration than just post count. (Which really means nothing besides activity on its own.)Gotcha.

I'm a dude, I can't bake worth a crap. -
Please don't make me lock this thread down, the thread is for support not bashing. Please keep your posts to reflect your support towards said applicant.
I'm sorry guys, but I feel that I might have to do what [GM]Saidin did and reference this post. I really appreciate all the support for many of the applicants but I would just hate to see this thread get closed and for infractions and warnings to be handed out to some innocent forumers who do not know what is going on currently.
Please no bashing any of the applicants, even if it means that you have to ut your feeling aside.
And could we please try to keep this thread on-topic for when (or even if) the MODS/GM's review this thread to somewhat influence their decision over who they might choose as a new Moderator during the summer, that it may be clean and that they would not have to use their time to read over posts that they may not have come to look for.
Once again, thank you everybody for your participation, but can we please try to keep this as on-topic as possible? Thank you and hope you see some more nice applications that just blow you away! -

And that's why I still get into the "super secret" meeting with the Sadin, Fallen, BlindRob and Light (Remember her anyone?). We share new cooking techniques.
One day Talon..one day...
She gave me karma for saying A/C meant air conditioning...
Worst joke ever. -

Defeats the point of a new mod I mean theoretically i could... my activity is a problem until mid may when uni ends.
Can I ask a question?
Why are people saying GodsGunman? Whenever im on here lately, which isnt often, hes always attacking someone, saying something stupid or doing something stupid. Posting invalid gun stats does not qualify for mod -
