I'm pretty sure a soldier wouldn't die when I hit him with a shovel in his back but he might die when i hit him in the back with a knife.
In crossfire world shovel do more damage than a knife! btw Don't base this real life bro this is just a game.. -

This would be the answer if this game was 100% reality based:
- Because when you wield a shovel like you would wield an axe (using the sharp edge, rather than the dull end), the striking surface of the shovel is bigger than that of a knife. Also, with the longer handle, you can use both hands to strike, thus apply more force, and your swing will have a greater momentum.
This is the answer because its not:
- Its CrossFire. -
How can you run fast with a gatling gun and two sawn off shotguns on your back?
How can you carry a gatling gun and two sawn off shotguns without it being visable?
How have you not been given a medal of honor after having been through so many battles?
How are you able to magically leave in the middle of an enclosed battle?
Why does your character continually change sides in different battles? -

And at THAT point, so can a combat knife....
AND YET 20-50 dmg on a weak strike, 50-100 with a strong strike, 90-100 to the head.
Vs. the shovel which is 50-100 on a weak strike, and 100 with a strong strike. -

Someone care to tell me how it's about the same length of a combat axe in CF, but has the range of a fricking baseball bat?
...more proof that the game designers did no weapons research...not even on Google apparently.
