  • yes please do. even if you do max weights 30 minutes is too little. I would say 90 minutes-120 minutes is good enough 3 times a week. BB spend hours at the gym cause that's their life. you never see a strong dude come in and then out in half an hour lmao. come on slant you should know better

the people that do 30 minute workouts:
1)don't have much time and just want to keep their shape
2)want that adrenaline rush/muscle popping for the next 2 hours or so
3)Aren't serious about working out/do not know how to properly work out

and no i'm not talking about p90x home exercises... I'm talking about going to the gym and hitting the weights

How is 30 minutes too little? Here's a sample Bicep / Chest routine
    • 4 sets of Incline Dumbbell Press, 8-10 reps (3 sets)
    • 3 sets of Bench Press, 8-10 reps (3 sets)
    • 3 sets of Incline Flies, 8-10 reps (3 sets)
    • 3 sets of Chest Dips until failure (3 sets)
    • 3 sets of Barbell Curls, 8-10 reps (3 sets)

Two minutes max of rest in between sets and exercises. You can finish this in about half an hour. Stop talking about this subject, you're embarrassing yourself.

you have no idea what you're talking about. copying a trainer's free general guide to getting in shape (which i assure you he doesn't use himself) won't actually get you in shape. who the fk takes 2 minutes break after a set lol. 30-45 seconds. please get off the computer for once and hit the gym
  • . who the fk takes 2 minutes break after a set lol. 30-45 seconds.

    Exactly, but who takes breaks

you take breaks if you're working on the same body part. for example if i do 45 lb dumbbell 10 reps both hands. i take a 45 second rest and do it again. otherwise if you're going from that to like leg extensions then you don't really need a break

i dont take breaks during bench press go straight to the ground do pushups or something

^ thats what i meant by who takes breaks

that doesn't make sense. how do you push yourself to do bench press and then have energy for push ups. might as well continue doing bench press. increase the weight/reps lol

Like again said. You let chaos in the team which plays horrid on client. On topic though, I troll on the forums for the fun of it, as I havn't been on the forums in quite some time, only to see what banks was raving about in my elimination game. Nevertheless, I play well ingame, ask blindhound who trolled me. Sadly the only team I do bad against is optimum. Sad. Ask diz how many times me and harvey had to carry.

You play more horrid. Shut up now.

I dont lose any energy during my bench untill like the 2 rep. I do them while waiting for my partner to get done with his reps unstead of waiting for him , ill stop doing them on the 3 rep to spot my partner and have energy for my 1-2 rep

not exactly sure what you're trying to say. i think you're confusing reps with sets and like i said you're not allowing your muscles to relax if you're going from bench to push ups to bench.

yea i got confused sets with reps. 8 6 4 3 2 1 is what our coach wants us to do. ive just seen more results in my max out on bench when i do pushups compared to not doing them.

well w/e works for you. just saying that if you let your muscles relax you would see better results

i do drop sets sometimes too to maximize the potential

    LOL

    quality post

also 30 minute work outs are doable and effective, but i usually 20 minutes of swimming/running/bike for 20 minutes.

Yea, that's why I said it's a sample bicep / chest workout. How don't I do these things? Minus the incline flies and the fact I have an entire day for my chest, that's identical to my chest routine.

I don't know why you're surprised I gained 20 pounds and still maintained 10 percent body fat in one month. I'm a low body fat ectomorph to begin with, so I'm careful about dirty bulking vs clean bulking.

What do you mean I have no idea what I am talking about? I am the one that is going to the gym 5x a week with a personal trainer. I am the one who researched about everything beforehand so I wouldn't end up posting pictures of myself in front of the mirror when I'm 5'9 100 pounds, kind of like you. Who takes two minutes breaks after sets? People who lift heavy, ie. most power builders. I have no idea why you are even discussing this. Looking at your Facebook, I already came to the conclusion you have no idea about nutrition or bodybuilding. Your example of lifting 45 pounds, 10 reps is unrealistic. You have no mass. I doubt you can even do 6 reps with 30. You're one of those kids that swings his arm and jerks around while doing exercises.

PS. Not everyone's body works the same. If someone feels comfortable doing the next set within 25-30 seconds then so be it, but he the person should make sure he isn't sacrificing form.
  • Let's face it guys I'm an animal. I weigh 135 and bench 225 Nah I'm jk that's prob just average haha. :)

Lol I'm not a body builder idk if that's good :P but it is true haha. I have two of my brothers who bench around 330+ to bench with. I just do dumbell curls and bench and pushups. That's about it. I'm one of the guys who can bench but don't look like it till u see me do it. Idk if that makes any sense lol.

i'm 6'4" at 175. not going to bother replying to the rest; you're full of sh1t and have no idea what you're talking about

that's above average for a 135 lb guy. my friend is about 140 and can bench double his weight as well but with a lot more than 3-4 sets per workout

he's been working out for 2 years now non-stop though.

I've done 235 could only do 2 sets went down to 225 and doing 5 sets :) I try to gain weight but I can't if my life depended on it, my metabolism is just insane -_- loll.

    regardless height doesn't really matter

Being 4'5 170 pounds doesn't matter? Means you're an out of shape elephant. MyAWM isn't 174 pounds though. Just look at his Facebook. He's making numbers up.
