You keep a nice routine? What do you think I do when I go to the gym 5 times a week? What do you think I will be doing when I go in the next half hour? I have gained twenty pounds in a month and I'm still below 10% body fat (because I know how to properly bulk) the only reason I started hitting the gym a few months ago is because I am ending my growth spurt, and would have probably tampered it if I worked out a few years ago. I wouldn't be over 6'0 if I worked out years ago. You're probably a 5'5 black kid with high body fat percentage. You aren't in my league. I train with fitness models, you train alone in your basement doing pushups. -

you go to the gym for half an hour? don't make me laugh
5 days a week? you're obviously doing it wrong. Unless you're on steroids along with protein shakes you need to allow your muscles to rest but then again you only go for 30 minutes so that's a joke.
lets be realistic here. your definition of a proper workout consists of lifting a 30 lb dumbbell a few times followed by typing on z8 forums. -

30 minutes-45 minutes is all you need but.

yes please do. even if you do max weights 30 minutes is too little. I would say 90 minutes-120 minutes is good enough 3 times a week. BB spend hours at the gym cause that's their life. you never see a strong dude come in and then out in half an hour lmao. come on slant you should know better
the people that do 30 minute workouts:
1)don't have much time and just want to keep their shape
2)want that adrenaline rush/muscle popping for the next 2 hours or so
3)Aren't serious about working out/do not know how to properly work out
and no i'm not talking about p90x home exercises... I'm talking about going to the gym and hitting the weights -

You're sprouting broscience faster than a jersey shore cast can.
All you need are 2-3 compound movements + 1-2 assistance movements and you're set. If you want routines which incorporate those, go check the stickies on bodybuilding.com or on 4chan /fit/. -

the people on jersey shore know how to work out properly though. Keep doing your assist movements. I get my ideas from personal trainers and friends who have been in the gym scene for years. I'm sure i'll listen to someone who has developed an 8 pack and can bench double his weight over a couple of people who think they know how to work out properly on the internet. -

30 minutes 5 times a week though is just nowhere as productive for gaining muscle mass.
i'm not trying to prove anything cause i myself am no gym expert. I work out occasionally due to lack of time but if you ask any personal trainer they will tell you this same thing. I know i've lasted for over 90 minutes before cause my friend pushed me; he's one of those guys that cannot live without a gym lol -
