they are just started fella...im sure their cf will be bigger and larger than z8games cf (if they have a good help desk and programmers) xD xD -
some of the guys here upgraded to 2GB Ram and its still not working. I had 2 GB from the beginning on and some guys from other forums have 2GB+ and can't play too. This tells us one thing, it has nothing to do with the computer specs.
Edit: It shouldn't be a problem to fix this. Just compare the versions before and after the patch. -
Like I said in the beginning, The patch caused more memory use, upgrade your memory
and you can play again. 1.4 GB of Ram is good but double it and you will have no problems playing. After all the trolls and bad things you guys had to say. I will never come here to help again. Some of you guys just dont read are just dont get it............
My brother's computer is 2 GB and he doesn't get black screen. My dad's old computer is 512 mb and doesn't get black screen (only problem is fps lag). Explain that for me then? -

Could be many things? You say FPS lag then you are talking video. What video card is in it , or does it use onboard video? And still I say again: The game will run with 512MB of Ram, But will run alot better with more Ram. All programs will run alot faster with more RAM.... -
I dont know if this will help. Try and see?
Change your Virtual Memory size. The default size is set to
1.5 times the amount of Ram on the computer. So 512mb would be
min. 768mb max 1500mb
1.Go to start-click My Computer and choose Properties.
2.In the System Properties dialog box, go to Advanced tab.
3.Click Settings button that is from the Performance frame.
4.Once the Performance Options shows up on the screen, go to Advanced tab.
5.Under the Advanced tab, click the Change button from the Virtual Memory
frame to access to the Virtual Memory setting. -

You don't need a strong video card to run this game, it's all about the ram. You need a good video card for CSS, because they have a lot of directx stuff and other crap.I dont know if this will help. Try and see?

Why should we change it? I don't see why this should make they game work.Another thing you guys can try :
Windows Vista and I think windows 7
ReadyBoost use a USB drive to boost your Ram
Just thinking???
This is basically the same as upgrading your Ram. If new Ram doesn't help then this wont help too. -

He tell ya what? Dont do anything.... There fixed -

Heres a easy test for you guys to do. Start Windows Task Manager, click Perfomance tab.
Now load game and see how much CPU usage and Ram usage you have, I have no problem playing the game. My CPU usage 47% Ram Usage 65% to load the game. If you see 100% then there is your answer... -
what we going to lose ? lets try it any way but i heard paging file adjustment may cause hardware damages...i set it as (system managed space)
We basically tried all the things he suggested.
First thing was, a good video card. We don't need a strong video card for cf because the game doesn't have any big effects which could need a strong video card. Games like Assassins Creed or BF need a strong video card but cf doesn't.
Second was to resize the virtual memory size. I never heard this as a suggestion. They always say to keep it the way it is. I don't see why this should help.
third thing was to use a usb stick as a boost. This is kinda the same as upgrading your ram. Some ppl here did it and it didn't help.Heres a easy test for you guys to do. Start Windows Task Manager, click Perfomance tab.

Yea but in this case the game shouldn't work before the update came out too. and when I play BF2 or some Wii games with a emulator, then I have 100% Usage too and the game is always working. I can't try cf because my internet isn't working atm but 100% usage shouldn't stop you from playing. -
It's definetly something on z8's side of the board. I was talkin to a friend of mine and he has a new PC he got like 2 months ago and he's having the same black screen bug... It's definetly not comming from the PC that the users have in common other than playing the game.

Virtual memory is simulated RAM. When you have used up all your RAM,
your computer will shift data to an empty space on the hard drive.
The computer swaps data to the hard disk and back to your RAM as needed.
When you increase your virtual memory you are increasing the empty space
that is reserved for your RAM overflow.
I suggest this if you have low memory. ie 512MB Ram
Ok heres the deal, I know you could play the game before the patch. Ok lets get pass this. The game added alot of content, that made the game use more memory and CPU power. Follow me so far? Now it will do no good to post next: yeah but its the game, I could play before the patch.
WE KNOW THIS.... I try and give you guys some help but its hard when all you guys post is this. Alot of you are trying to play a game on a computer, that just cant play it. ie LOW RAM, Crap CPU. I have a ACRE LAPTOP it has 2 gigs of ram, a Dual Processor. Because its a Mobile Processor = crap. It can load the game and play. Like crap I should add. So I dont bang my head trying to play on this laptop. And let me add, CF is a CPU intense game, meaning if you have a crap CPU and 4 gigs of RAM, you may still have problems playing. There is no easy fix here guys. And dont hold your breath waiting for a fix from Z8. You need to find a fix for youself. So whats the fix? Look at what you are working with and go from there..... Sry if that burst your bubble... good Luck sry I couldnt help -

This is not really helping. The virtual memory is already bigger then it should be.
yea thats right, we were able to play the game before the patch.Ok heres the deal, I know you could play the game before the patch. Ok lets get pass this. The game added alot of content, that made the game use more memory and CPU power. Follow me so far?
uhh not really. They added only 2 or 4 new weapons and a new game mode. The new game mode shouldn't affect the loading time when you play SnD or the other modes. Only when you play the new mode itself.
Do you really think 4 new weapons and a new game mode made the loading time go from 5 secs to over a minute?
They only made some little changes, the is no way this stuff makes the loading time go from 5 secs to over a minute. Other players have to wait 5 mins. Now it will do no good to post next: yeah but its the game, I could play before the patch.

Some of us have fast computers with 4 gb ram and i7 cpu. Only few have fast computers and the most of us have slower computers but the slow computers should be enough to play crossfire smooth. I don't see a reason why cf should be a cpu intense game? CF has nothing what could need a fast cpu. You need only a lot of Ram because cf has a lot of weapons but you don't need a fast cpu for cf. Do you know what game needs a fast cpu? BF Bad Company 2 needs a strong cpu because they have a lot of ragdoll effects and destroyable walls and crap like that. CF is a simple game without any effects. There is no easy fix here guys. And dont hold your breath waiting for a fix from Z8. You need to find a fix for youself. So whats the fix? Why shouldn't we wait for z8games to fix this? Some of us paid for ZP and we want to play this game and it their job to make it. Seriously what the fck is this? They can't just bring out a new patch that destroys the game for half of us and then say "It's not our problem, find a solution yourself"
z8 has to fix this like every other game company does it too. When I have a problem with css i report it to the valve forum and they try to add a fix into the next patch.
and btw, how can we fix this problem if we don't even have a console or anything else to look up? -

This guy knows what he's talking about, the other guy, needs to read earlier posts. -
I have tried everything to get this to work. I have a Acer Ferrari 3200. I had 512MB memory. I have read everything on this problem. I installed 2gig of memory. Now I can play again. Had black screen loading, would join at like the 2nd round of game. Now I still have a small delay, but the game will run. So adding memory worked for me, but as many have said. This may not work for you.
