Lowering the moderation level so that a single section is exempt from rules that applies everywhere else?
No.

Allowing recruitment threads to be posted here would be the extent of a change that COULD happen.
Moderation would remain the same.

You admit that there is ego **** in public sections, yes? I'm assuming that the moderation is about the same level as the competitive section, if not more. This would mean that you be eliminating any stray comp players who decide to troll the public section just because they want to troll, while, by KEEPING THE SAME LEVEL OF MODERATION ON THE COMPETITIVE SECTION AS IT HAD PREVIOUSLY, you be allowing the level of ego **** to stay the same.

Nobody is suggesting lowering the level of moderation, only that you change the direction of moderation in the competitive section.
