Mod 9 right? ofc, who else
btw I think 10I tried it twice. It seems to decrease guns sounds a bit and enhances breath somewhat.
Munch AFF
ima try sound options now -
'Intensity wrote:[;2897932']Sometimes the default volume (100) is not enough.
There are other programs that boost your audio a lot as well
So, if someone edited their .rez files to make breath louder and gun sounds quieter (if not mute).
It's acceptable?
Oh I like the way GMers think. -

Of course it isn't.
You can't compare someone editing their .rez files (cheating cause everything becomes so easy ) with someone who uses an EQ (enhanced audio making ghost breath a bit easier to pick up but just as loud as weapons)
But I'd see sound tricking as a form of cheating Cause it's pretty much hearing ghost breath only. -

There are other programs that boost your audio a lot as wellTurning up your volume after a certain extent isn't helpful it's actually detrimental. The spray becomes too loud and you can't hear breath further. So, if someone edited their .rez files to make breath louder and gun sounds quieter (if not mute).

How so? If I may ask.'Intensity wrote:[;2898017']I've stopped using it a while back, you still misspell it sometimes lol
Just that one time... >.>... I barely use it, in fact I haven't used it since that happened. -
He wasn't talking about putting the volume to 100. He was stating the obvious glitch. ;p
Aff I was confusing two threads. I should have posted the comment in the thread made today about hearing breath better. QQ.
Jelly commented that you should just turn your volume up and that's what I meant to reply to. -

But they're both in the same ballpark? Modifying one thing or another to gain that slight advantage.
It becoming "easy" is a matter of opinion. For someone people, yes it'll be easy, for others it'll still be hard regardless of how loud breath can get.Just that one time... >.>... I barely use it, in fact I haven't used it since that happened.
What have you guys been using? -

Something that is not that useful at all, something like when you breath bug randomly and hear breath coming from every direction.
Pine's magic trick -

Well depends on how you mod the rez files, I assume you delete all gun sounds when I think of rez modding.
Equalizer is totally legit, it just adjusts the frequencies of the sounds, not taking any away like rez modding.
And I've been using mah magic tricks. -

Eew. Too complicated. -

Funny, what if adjust the frequencies of each gun sound via a program like Sound Forge?

Well I really don't see a point in this conversation, the only thing rez modding would be good for is deleting the gun sounds so you hear nothing but ghosts.
EQ on the other hand can be used fore multiple things. -

Great. You're right. I don't see a point in this "conversation" either.
Good luck to those who mess around with EQ settings. My point was you're really no different than those who edit .rez weapon sounds.the only thing rez modding would be good for is deleting the gun sounds
Very incorrect. You'll find out sooner or later though. -

Meh the only thing that comes to my mind and that should be illegal is deleting sounds for an advantage.
EQ is adjusting your computer's sounds, not the games' sounds.
Sure they both give you an advantage but rez modding is related to your common hacks (assumption) and EQ is related to.... music.
See the very notable difference?
I'm too tired right now so I can't really say anything but I can see why you agree with your thinking. I just don't see how rez modding and EQ are similar, EQ still has all the sounds just changes frequencies. Rez modding is like hacking, at least to me.
And actually no I won't, unless I find interest again in Talon's tournament I don't feel like coming back to this game.
Feel like hanging out with my mexicans on a different game.
