[Interface Mod] Infinity Alpha

Well fellas, I'm still alive. Pulled off a 3.11 GPA (crap, but better than before!) and I'm ready for more.

With this there's good news and bad news:

What do you want to hear first? Good news? Okay, the bad news:

Development on Infinity Interface will cease.

BUT

I'll be creating a new interface using new principles I've discovered. Hopefully it will meet your approval and look exponentially more gorgeous. The issue at my point in life is that I tend to discover new things by experimenting, so some older designs become obsolete to me. Now I'm aware it took me quite a while before (I announced Infinity Interface back in late March) but now I have three months of academic freedom and no longer a three hour limit on work every morning. In addition, I'm aware that CrossFire actually supports .PNG's, which is absolutely fantastic because I spent about 30% of my time cutting out images and saving them as TARGA files and aligning them pixel-by-pixel. Just on another update. May or may not start it today, but more likely tomorrow.

(By the way, I found this absolutely kick ass font that I'm really excited to implement. Not that you care, but it's epic!)

New principals? Somebody's gonna use the PNG scripts....

They'll be my own scripts, but thanks to Rory for releasing them so I knew it was possible. I never thought to check because I thought other file types wouldn't be rendered by the engine. Principals, you know, they're good for motivational purposes. (It's weird because just the other day I had the opposite issue, xD)

(Bump, first off)

Can you at LEAST update THIS topic when you're ready to post a topic for your new concepts? I don't like the Fan Works section of the forum because topics get buried by pizzy ass replays with stupid effects thrown on top of them ALL DAY LONG...SmoothUI is gonna get buried sooner or later.

Here's the story: I've been doing quite a bit of professional work for my local sheriff's office by re-designing their website and updating their vehicle design. When I woke-up this morning I remembered how cool the Z8 Forums were and pulled up the half-finished new concept and I swear by God that I will not give this project up. If I stop and forget about this, spam with with PM's or emails or something so I'll start again.

I'll post when the new thread is up.

It wasn't that hard to know that the cf scripts could read .Png instead of .tga, also Server/Channel/Lobby/EctBG's can work with .JPG as well. Just saying ^^.
