The Year of the Alien!
In the early 20th century when H.G.Well's story "The War of the Worlds" was broadcast nationally on the radio to the American public, a vast majority of listeners actually believed that an Alien attack was imminent.

B.B.King performed this epic song with Gary Moore, the lead guitarist from another epic band Thin Lizzy. When you join old style Blues with awesome Rock guitar you reach a pinnacle of musical bliss that is oft sought after but rarely accomplished.
Gary died earlier this year:( R.I.P. sir. He is now in Rock heaven along side his former bandmate Phil Lynott.

OT: How did you like Of mice and Men? I loved it but I'm still sad that lenny died :C I really wanted him to live he wasnt that bad only a little to strong and stupid but I like how George cared enough to save him from them and just kill him :C.

I found the recollection on Hiroshima thought provoking. Also I share your empathy with the Steinbeck tale. I recommend the new story in my sig. Tell me your thoughts if you are able to read it. I cant leave without a tune:)

I recall when "Blue Monday" first hit my ears. I rushed out to buy the vinyl in 12". Power, Corruption and Lies was the Album that followed with the original "Blue Monday" reworked as "The Beach". The tragedy of Ian Curtis is the epitaph for Joy Division.

New Order were an English musical group formed in 1980 by Bernard Sumner (vocals, guitars, synthesisers), Peter Hook (bass, synthesisers) and Stephen Morris (drums, electronic drums, synthesisers). New Order was formed by the remaining members of Joy Division following the suicide of vocalist Ian Curtis. They were soon joined by keyboard player Gillian Gilbert.
