Marshall Reputation System Guide

Attention Mercs,

We've been receiving many reports from players confused in regards to the new reputation system. It is our hope that this brief guide will help clear up any questions you all may have.

MARSHALLS - GRADES 1, 2 & 3

With the September Update we introduced 3 new ranks that affect those at the Marshall rank; Marshall GRADE 3, Marshall GRADE 2, and Marshall GRADE 1.

These grades are variable rankings that allow Marshalls to see who is the top dog. Unlike the normal EXP rankings the requirements to meet these rankings can change daily.

These rankings are based on the overall percentage of current Marshalls in the game. They can be broken down like this: [Please See this crudely drawn image]

- Of all Marshall rank players in the game, only the top 10% will be given the Marshall GRADE 1 Rank. Ex. If there were 100 Marshalls the top 10 would be GRADE 1.

- Of the remaining Marshall rank players, the next 20% would be GRADE 2. Ex. If there were 100 Marshalls, the top 10 would be GRADE 1. Then the 11th - 30th highest Marshalls would receive GRADE 2.

- Finally, of all remaining Marshall rank players, another 20% would be GRADE 3. Ex. If there were 100 Marshalls, the top 10 would be GRADE 1. 11 - 30 would be GRADE 2. And finally, the 31st - 50th highest Marshalls would receive GRADE 3.

- Any Marshalls in the lower half of the Reputation System do not gain any grade.

Next you're gonna say "But [GM]Castiel, how do I become a higher grade?"

THE REPUTATION SYSTEM

Many of you at the Marshall rank may have already noticed that in the profile section of the game client there is a new section, the Reputation section.

This is how to track how far away you are to the newest Marshall rank. The number on the right will give you the amount of reputation required to enter into the next tier of Marshall Grades. Meanwhile, the left number will detail the current amount of reputation you have.
Please note that these numbers will only update on a daily basis and so any changes to your reputation will not immediately be visible. The update will occur around 6 AM EDT, along with the daily mission reset.

Reputation itself, is very easy to gain. You will gain reputation as you play games against other players. There are currently methods implemented that will prevent or reduce the reputation you gain if you attempt to farm afk/lower skill level players.

Instead you will gain the most reputation when facing other players of similar skill level. So make sure you're keeping your skills in top condition.

Again, please note that these numbers will only update on a daily basis and so any changes to your reputation will not immediately be visible. The update will occur around 6 AM EDT, along with the daily mission reset.

AFTERWORD

And that's the long and short of the reputation system. If anyone has any remaining questions, please ask away and I will do my best to assist.

So get out there and prove you're the top dog of the top dogs!
