can i **** punch your ex?
2x 590 is ******ed
LOLOLOL..... That's what I said -_-
But I get the 590 when she decides to "upgrade"....nachoooooooh wrote: »why are they your ex?
i would have to do my paper round for another 2 years with out spending it on anything else to buy 590 x2
thats without the pc xD
It was a £1100 build, I've got the exact specs somewhere.
EDIT: Ahh here. -
Investmet?! when were PC components an investment?
Thought my two Radeon HD 5850's were nice...but damn...GTX 590 in SLi. (are they watercooled by any chance?
)
They're an investment on my part, as I get them when she upgrades... If there is such a thing as upgrading on that, ha.
Her CPU is water cooled, she's using four GPU specific fan coolers at the moment, two on each, though I'm looking into something better than that for my own rig, so likely she's be doing the same.
The most annoying part? She rarely games on it, plays CoD and Borderlands with me every now and then, but other than that she uses it for BluRays and 3D crap. -

I always prefer this option on CoD4, so why not.

It's an XFX 260, it requires 680w minimum. I've gone down to a 600w before when testing some mobos, GPU barely ran. Doubt it'd get far on a 550w
You can run it on a 550W, it runs at 230 W with a full load (crysis) and 136 W Idle, the recommended is 630 W. That is the black edition at least. -

Yeah, now factor in a GPU overclock, a RAM overclock, and a CPU overclock. Then add in more fans to cool the whole thing. -

I've got it in SLI with another twin card, it ran at 600w at the lowest, wasn't fantastic though. It's the green edition, though I do have a Black Edition too which is a little more 'green', shall we say.
Even so, even if I could run consistently at 550w, I'd still need that decent amount of overhead space, I usually like 100w, but I have a 200w clearance on this particular build, as everything is OC'd to near max limits, e.g. Core2 Quad Extreme QX9650 @ 4.9GHz. from 3.0GHz -

L0L not everyone overclocks it's not always necessary, it's very possibly to run it, don't be mad people, it uses that much wattage when a full load, other games like mw and bf would be lower obviously.
