Ingame Moderators / Gamemasters

  • This would be a great idea, a lot less hackers in games with this depending if they did make a good amount of them. But I sorta doubt they would add this feature in crossfire
  • I dont want to be a MOD...ever. I would ban people for no reason. Like over 9000 people a week.

You can't ban if your GM. ;)
  • i think more effect will show helpers on forum. wich can take a look to replay files wich already reported. and make own banned list, wich he will send to gamemod who have permission to ban those morons. and when ticket comes back so the gamegm can actually ask this helper of replay file... so on they can be banned daily.

but i think u want have many mini-mods ingame wich active playing and can kick everyone(include skilled players) to report them after. failed.
  • TERRIBLE IDEA
And STOPMAKING CROSSFIRE LIKE COMBAT SH.ITARMS

It's a good idea. We don't have enough people reporting because we get used to hacker's and only report the high level's.

So we need some active people but trustworthy to an mod's to report people. ;)
  • I dont think people ahve thought about this logically. I think all you lot want is extra power.

These Ingame mods have to be very (and i mean very) carefully chosen. You cant just go giving kick powers to anyone. Even if you are "trusted" its still too risky to do such a thing.

Also another problem is that the numbers would be way too large for the GM's to deal with. Theyre busy enough wwithout having to deal and keep track of 100 people ingame with kicking powers.

    This idea is completely impractical

Why do they need kicking power's?

They need an auto report program built into there CF. So that all they have to do is enter an IGN and then you have to enter the location of the replay to be uploaded. An automatically put's in report format that is sent to a GM.

Again, you didnt think of this logically.

How many people cry hacker every game?
do you not think they would be continuously reporting legit people?

Support WILL be spammed with false reports and noone would get banned

If they make more than 2 false report's it get's taken away from them.

But choosing them is really hard, so they're would have to be some test's before you are made a game moderator. A massive survey with multiple question's and only if you get over 90% you pass to next test. They could have a voice interview with a Mod to see if they're trustworthy.

No it doesnt work like that. If every person submitted 2 false reports ingame how many do you think will be reported?

Same thing... it doesnt work like that. You can easily pass a test.
I could tell you now that if I said that I wouldnt ban anyone without proof just to pass a test I would. Doesnt mean Im going to do it.
You can say that to pass and then still go ahead and ban.

And the problem with numbers is still the main problem.

    I dont think you understand...
  • In game MoDs, I don't think so. In game GMs, I approve. +1/-1/=1
  • In game MoDs, I don't think so. In game GMs, I approve. +1/-1/=1

    1-1 is 0 ._.

There simply is not enough man power to ptrol the game in the way youre all suggesting

I do realise this. But small patrols from time to time won't hurt anyone. I'm not saying this system shall be the primary hack'er chasing system, no. I'm saying that GMs need to be less powerless in game.

I don't trust MoDs enough for this (no offence, I know I'm arrogant), but it seems to me that the "owners" of the game shall be able to control the game.

Yo got me on the math. I hate you <3
  • In game MoDs, I don't think so. In game GMs, I approve. +1/-1/=1

GM = Game Moderators or Game Masters

    So really your logic is bad. 1 - 1 = 0

Again GM's would need to be employed which will cost even more money.

Thats why they have Moderators to help control the game. Granted, we dont have ingame powers.... YET. Thats because theres a glitch in the system with linking the accounts to allow that... apparently.
Moderators are just as good as GM's. Work from home and we're free.
We are chosen specifically by the GM's... what more do you want for us to be trusted?

    Aren't all GM's and MOD's powerless in-game.

    No....

I often play with Hpx and if theres a hacker.... hes gone

I want you to have something to lose. What will happen if you ban/kick someone for no reason? You'll lose MoD tag, but that's actually all.

What will happen if a GM does that? He'll lose his job.

    That's the difference.

Game Masters. Check your dictionary. Also, try to quit repeatin' what Tom said and come up with something you actually invented. Thanks.
    No....

    My bad than.
  • No....

Hmmm. I've only ever played with MOD's.

Any NA GM's play in west coast?

You do realise I said game master and who is Tom. o_O

No a GM will probably be disciplined. Thats about it. It would never happen anyway

Yo Giggle. Who is Tom? >.> ...-Hint, Hint, Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge-
  • The current MODs basically are "InGame Mods". While we don't have power to kick or ban out of game at this time, because those powers are only made for Admins at this time, we are always in game collecting hackers, and we directly give them to a GM to ban.

Since we are MODs our reports are usually more simple, and the ban can be done a bit faster than a ban report sent in that doesn't give all the needed info.

We also help with the in game events, tournaments, and etc. Giving power to others in game to make "cops" so to speak, would make things more complicated then they are now. And more people would just be kicked that are good, and don't really hack.

    Edit:

To add, GMs are always in the game. They kick/ban automatically if they find one.

No mod's or gm's ever helping in west coast, so there are hacker's there that still have high rank accounts.

    Except for GM Saiden.

I actually can 100% say that is false.

I personally have met undercover GMs in that area.

You guys won't notice them though because of:

    1) Secret Accounts
    2) Pings
    3) Not every GM is in Toronto, remember the game is created elsewhere. So their pings will be higher.

How do you know GM's that are undercover, if they're undercover.

    Exactly, you don't.

But they still have power to kick and ban people who hack.
