  • lies !! lierr thats not what you told me !!! u told me u had -1 gp

    I lied. Mad?
  • Oldschool was when people couldn't pinpoint so good. Once that players understood how GM works and started to pinpoint a ghost almost perfectly, breathdown came in. I think "oldschool" gm is possible only in a community of rookies.
  • Just going off of what I heard, the older panthers members aren't around often enough to give me any real clue as to who is who. Regardless this particular player is exceptional even in the drafts of the serious gm players.

HTC innovation? As for headphones, yeah they can usually make a difference. All I use is $40 Sony's and their deep bass helps me. Generally earbuds are the worst, but all the cards do is amplify what the headphones already can do.

I do agree how I would love to see GM come back, for a number of reasons, the respect it deserves, people to get interested in it and learn, and just for the overall fun of it. it was my first game i ever played and i've made it my focus since playing through thick and thin. would be nice to see if there's something new that i cna learn from those who come.

The game is only left-right sound, good headsets don't help.. A decent sound card can clean things up a bit, but nothing really noticeable.

Even though it only goes from left to right, different sets of headphones allow you to notice the differences much easier and excel at certain things, quality headphones allow your card to preform better with the additional hardware.

You can have the best music player in the world in terms of specs, but if its hooked up to dollar store speakers, it ain't gonna make them better.
  • What he said. Cheap headphones are pretty much limited to the sound spectre (can't explain it technically, sorry). Basically, you won't be able to hear some of the frequencies, limiting you to the lenght at wich you can hear.

It can get a bit clearer with nicer headsets, but imo CF is the dollar store output.

Phoenix is correct: I am JSx and I switched to S&D. There wasn't any real competition after MoTG. I stuck around GM for a while back then. But after some time of GM pubs, it just lost its thrill and I transitioned to S&D.

Well then, I definitely have to deal with someone that has been all but honest. Thanks for the heads up, haha though its really hard to know whos story is actually true, but it brings me 1 step closer to knowing the truth.
  • I just want to see people playing GM again.
    IDC how.

I could post a screenshot of the MoTG spray if you like, but you'd have to wait for tomorrow, when I gain access to my computer (on my sister's laptop and she gets ****ed whenever I download something.)

Talon he is telling to truth no need for show off ss of the spray. He left gm to play snd .

Problem is that him and cj said the same thing, only it appears that one has said they returned to gm afterwards while the other says he still plays snd.

I didn't even know the winners got such a spray so it definitely would help in knowing whos the fake.
  • lol

cj is ugh cj wasn't as good as he is now back then. and Only the winner Panther 8 member has the march of the ghost spray.
  • .,.,.,

You gotta fall real hard before you rise.

Trust, if you got a good Bl team and none of that crouching tiger hidden camper shiit.. bdown isn't necessary. Infact, it'll confuse the hell outta GR cuz that shiit spreads out , so all u gotta do is deak and bait.
  • If ghosts had knife, GM would be balanced.

where have you been.... GRs who have good headsets can easily kill ghosts with shovels even if they use bdown. so GM would be even more unbalanced..

I'm seeing A LOT of mixed reviews as to what should / shouldn't be used. While I do tend to agree breath down isn't necessary, it could make things unbalanced against a VERY good GR team with pinpointing. From what I have seen so far, there is a general consensus that people would like to see a GP only rule set for weapons, with some limitations. I'd like to hear from you guys more on those "limitations". I'm seeing one of the problems is the "sprayers" with machine guns. So, do we limit ALL MG's? Some of them?

I'd say so far, it would GENERALLY look something like this:

BL: Breath down allowed, Knife / Axe.

GR: No silenced weapons, limited or no MG's (RPK, M60), limited GP weapons (to be discussed - M12, SL, etc.), No armor.

Keep it going guys. I'm very pleased to see this has received so much attention.
  • I miss old school ghost mode. No bunny hoppers, no pin pointers and the ghosts did'nt have asthma.
  • New thread created in Competitive Section with a preliminary rule set. Please forward your comments there from now on. Let's see if we can get something written up :-)

SO this old school gm had bdown i guess... If bl gets bdown then gr should get silenced weapons...

All mgs not allowed apart from Minimi cuz its not loud to the other users. No tommy, kriss, M12S, ScarLight (I dont even care about the scar light but others will)and i recon that is it .... im probably forgetting summet

EDit- opps saw you message about the other post a lil late

Old school GM had no bdown or fsdown just the axe then came along the items that ruined GM lol

Pinpointers ruined Ghost Mode! R.I.P Ghost Mode. :(

The sound being 2.0 is the reason why playing with headphones makes a difference versus playing with loudspeakers. When you listen to 2.0 with a couple of loudspeakers part of the right channel goes to your left ear and viceversa, so with headphones you get a better stereo separation and that's the key to pping.
