Do we know if those ideas have even been submitted to the developers or are we just assuming that they were rejected without knowing whether or not the suggestions ever left these forums?Robots.. err really?
I understand your point though. Yes, I admit, there's plenty of good suggestions on these forums that should have been rejected by the developers.
And yes, one of the other versions does have robots. -
I agree 100%, it's just that, the number of people who can actually think critically and logically are at best 1 in every 10 people you encounter ingame. It's hard to make people understand any of this, even more so when they're all probably just kids still.
On a final note, this is also the inter-web. People think they're untouchable on here, so, as they please, they can say or do whatever they think they can, bearing the consequences of 1,2,3,7 day bans, they might as well take it. Knowing that they can just make new characters, they think they can do it. So, in a perfect world we'd all like to agree to this and have it work, but unless some dramatic changes happen, we just gotta stick with it till the end. -
Scar Light use to be the gun all pros used, it was amazing and the 'it' gun. And when the SPOP came out, it was the first ZP character, it was new, and since it was new, people wanted it.
Nobody considered them noob until WOGL formed in CF and put those Items on their ban list. Thus, making people think they were noobish. -
yes ok many good posts but i think the best is that one that every weapon is uniqe an its not the same as other but the weapon isnt the one that aims its the player (if you dont have a hack)
but the point is that you need a little bit of skill for every weapon; for some you need 30% but for some 110%
you know what i mean... -

Exactly shad, I've played since closed beta and when SL came out you were considered a noon if you didn't have it. I remember I started with m4, then sold it for ak47, then sold that for SL.
When WOGL came it influenced the community into thinking some guns are nooby while others are good. -
i personally don't mind people using any gun no matter what channel it is. it's funny to see scrubs rage at you when you run around with a wogl banned weapon in echo 8. i personally always play by league rules but if i see a scar light on the ground and need a rifle i'll use it. most of the good players feel the same way from what i've witnessed.
playing against spops imo improves my aim and that's why i used to pub alpha 7 all the time(unfortunately most of the asians who play there suck nowadays so it's really no different from any other pub). In terms of a "competitive" game i see no point as to why you would need a spop when you can clearly just use one of the standard characters. i'm fine with people using them in pubs/scrims though(which is practically all i play besides a few pugs here and there). i'll probably never own a spop so maybe my opinion is biased

So, if you put the same player with the same skill, with same rig's etc... he will kill you faster with a sL than with a M4 <---- And this is 4sure.
sL&M4
More Power & Less power
Think they have same accuracy.
Less recoil (I could say no recoil) & More Recoil
Same bullets.
M12&M4
Less Power & More Power (Not Sure)
Don't know accuracy
"No Recoil" & More Recoil
I think m12 have more RoF
40 bullets? pl0x....
So they can use in public game, and I don't blame him. ( I admit sometimes I Q_Q, but I have to accept that). I just ask&advice them that's not the best weapon and I say like example an m4 or an ak.
Spop/StarVsOtherCharacters.
They could have the same hitbox that they have but in the same position spop is more thin than the other chars so behind a wall if you can't see him you'll shot what?
And this is why I complain about.
Weapons isn't problem for me but characters is.
And i'll never try to say about hackers because that's a biiiiiiiiiiiig problem we have.
And Polleus you can't understand because you're a user right? hmmm
-
Let me ask this....
why do you even care what these scrubs say? i been playing this game sense the end of beta and one thing ive learned is that people will cry and call noob about anything just because they got there a$$ handed to them. as long as your having fun, does it even matter what anyone else thinks? -
Love this thread. Everyone should realize that this game is up, running, and was even developed for the purpose of business. You can have a great idea and turn it into a game but it will not survive on an international or even domestic level without PROFIT. Last time I checked, games were meant to be for entertainment. Games are comprised of rules for the players to follow and have fun. If you have the money and deem something as worthy of YOUR money, you should be able to spend it any way you want. If you don't like the game, then leave. No one is making you pay or play.

Yes, z8games have to earn money, I agree!!! But do they have to introduce such inbalanced guns like the m12s? ( I, for myself, can live with scar light how it is right now) And I was NEVER a person who said that STAR or SPOP where noobish, actually I never had trouble shooting them

But I have to mention a thing: You are right, there are lots of people purchasing ZP. So why doesn't z8games do much about the hackes?! I have never played any public match of hero mode with 16 players without a hacker! (!!! iilver* !!!) So I think they also have kind of a duty to the ZP-Customers to keep the game as hack free as possible. I KNOW YOU SAY YOU DO ALL YOU CAN Z8!!! OR THAT IT'S ON XTRAP TO FIX HACKS!!! But as we all now, hack free is different, and I absolutely don't espect this game to becoma a 100& hack free, because I know it's (nearly?) impossible!
Nuff said. -

And FUN being the word, unless you are a skillfull player with the " right " setup you are abused and ridiculed, IMO why so many low rank and new players turn to using hacks, players are kicked for having a negative score and called noobs and worse if they make a mistake, there are plenty of ways to make a private room to play with ppl of ur standard, if you choose to play in public accept it will have lower skilled players from all around useing all different types of weapons, if you don't like it don't play in public, there are lots of things i would like to change but untill then i would not abuse players for not being as good. -

This is like what I said: the competitive community is very cold and unwelcoming to new players, hence why I've never really gotten into it (that, and I still need to improve some). Sure, there are exceptions to this (a lot of the more-seasoned veterans are happy to take newcomers under their wings), but for the most part the competitive community is all about those who were there from the start, and those who are the most skilled. -

This is true, alot of skillfull players are unfairly kicked from games but they are the same players who are quick to abuse and name call the less skilled and low rank players, i started playin nearly 2 years ago and most of the higher rank players were friendly and gave advice ect which made me want to learn and get better and be as good as them, now most higher ranked players just don't tollerate less skilled players and this is causing bad feeling in rooms. -

Even when I joined last August, things weren't this bad. Hackers weren't quite as big a problem, people were nicer on the forums, and there were... actually, I think there were more BRs back then, lol. In any case, CF's on a slow and steady decline. If we don't pick ourselves up out of this hole soon, I'm not sure I'll even stick around to see what the future holds. -
Excellent post

Glad you brought up a few good issue's and because you did and not an ordinary poster it stop's the flaming that would ensue especially the part about the weapon's and character's in game.
I started playing this game about 2 year's ago maybe a little more i can't remember off hand but the people who were higher ranked than i was told me to get a Scar Light when i got to a rank where i could use it because it was a great gun, easy to use and good power. So what has changed in the 2 year's ? Now i am constantly called a nerd / noob / get some skill / wow your a LT and u use a scrub lite / crap about my mom ( original, never heard that 1 before ) etc etc by rage kid's. I am glad it's an easy gun to use because i am nowhere near being a great player, i hold my own with a posative KD but that's all and i am not interested in the competative scene and play for fun, so why should i care about what some " league " say's is allowed or not.
Simple fact is kid's don't like being killed and will rage about anything to make themselve's feel better, oh he suck's look at his gun / spop / star but in reality they are just looking like spoilt brat's who spit their dummy out if they don't get their own way. It's a FPS and people do shoot back lol.
Anyway's that's my 2 cent's.
Great post, great read.
Peace -
1. There isn't really a real advantage of ppl using SPOPs or STARS. They're just more attractive than any of the other characters. I own an SPOP myself and feel like I've died more times than lived using an SPOP.
My theory is this: someone who doesn't pay alot to use items in this game might be jealous of ppl who can buy a SPOP. So they get mad that they die from a "richer" player. Then the reason why I feel that I die quicker as an SPOP is becauseof the "poorer" players want to do anything to make me feel like I shouldn't have gotten the SPOP. Really it doesn't matter to me.. 10$ for a character for as long as I own the account sounds pretty darn good to me.
I am glad that the Staff does agree about nerfing the noob weapons. I cannot say it any other way. You can't tell me that a smg can kill you from a sniper rifles distance without going a clip and a half unless you headshot. I am not calling the actual user a noob.. However, he/she is taking advantage of the designers faults of making the weapon. The player is as much noobish as the OP gun itself IF he/she uses only that weapon.
I had an m12 and thought not much of it.. But when I killed 6 ppl with just 1 clip, I realized that this weapon is anything except fair. I opened my eyes because I didn't want to win by just holding down a trigger... I want to win because I'm smarter or can aim better than my opponent. Not because I can hold a trigger down. Unfortunately, that's not the same mentality many ppl have, including SA's and other such players. -
If they ever release Fox (it'll probably happen by this summer/early fall by my predictions), I'll buy it and people will QQ about that too. IDGAF; I'm a pretty feminine guy and often use female character models in online games. I don't care whether anyone else uses one or not either. Additionally, I don't pay for ZP either; besides one UGC that I received as a gift, I've earned all my ZP through surveys. Thus (although it's getting to be a less common term), I absolutely hate being called a "ZP noob". Really? I worked for this sh*t; why can't I use it?
Thus ends my short female character/ZP rage. -
SPOP :
I have nothing against people using it, but I don't like it because I know I will have to buy it someday to get the associated ribbon and the hopefully awesome rewards we'll get in the future. And I don't want to spend 8,900 ZP on something I will not use.
STAR :
Same, I don't care if people use it. I don't like it and will never use it though, because she looks nothing like a soldier and the proportions of her body seem off. Her hands look too big while her head seems too small.
SCAR Light :
I used to think this weapon was way too OP but now, while I still find it better than the other GP rifles, I don't really care about it. Besides, before the M12s was released, it was THE weapon everyone used and, as such, was annoying as hell. Nowadays, a lot less people fight with it, there are more and more variety. There used to be room with half of the players with Scar L, and that was ridiculous, not matter how good or bad the weapon is.
M12s :
This weapon replaced Scar L in every way. Too much people use it and, without attacking directly the player (calling them noob, skill less or whatever), this is really annoying.
The only people I may attack or QQ against in game are the hackusers, the laggers (i.e. people with at least 3 times my ping, >150 in UK4), the kickers and the obvious hackers/blockers/glitchers.
M12s users ? I may rage in front of my computer about them but never use the chat to insult them.
ZP Weapons :
Money is everything. Just like with the M12s, I may rage alone in front of my computer but I never really hold a grudge against people using them. It's an advantage they paid for, just like IRL. I'm not going to call a guy with a better car than me, a noob Ferrari user...
Competitive players :
I don't understand people that want to be competitive in CF. I'm not really sure a F2P game is really suited for that, let alone CF with all its problems (registration issue, bug, disconnection, glitches, etc.)
I'm pretty sure paid game can be better for that.
I play CF for the fun, and despite that, I still find a lot of things about this game are stupid and shouldn't be here (Tiger hat, Valentine's bag, Chocolate Grenade, etc.) so I don't understand how people that want to be competitive can even approach this game. I wouldn't mind being competitive in a game made for that, but CF seems to be just the opposite.
But since I'm everything but competitive, I may be wrong.
In conclusion :
I pretty much agree with the OT.
ps : we need some kind of karma (or cookie) system, Polleus deserves some. -

If I was good at FPSs and had money, I'd probably play CS. But I am broke and suck, so CF will be my home for a while (unless the foreign invasion gets to be a big enough problem that I end up quitting). -
Why dont z8 make uk server 5 a server where you can only play with wogl/esl or whatever rules. No spops/stars, no m12s/scarLight/tompson/kriss. Or just make uk5 server with the options to chose from wogl, esl, gp only guns, zp only guns or all guns rules. A room with that restritctions would be nice (i'm not sure if you guys understand)
Probably people would stop QQ if you give us a server with those restrictions
