I've decided to never buy ZP ever again untill this is fixed also i've given up on trying to make CF work i think raging on the forums is more fun than the game currently

I thought that they would atleast admit by now that they have no clue what the problem is, which to me would be fine because atleast i know that they have listened and are admitting their problem, but no, typical Z8 has to ignore us completly so depressing -
i guess this thread is dead,no new complaints... obviously ppl stopped playing or gone off to another and better game with better customer service....
Im really liking the thought of a ps3 and CoD but even if i got that i would still rage on the forums untill they fixed it for everyone else :P -
Spam
I've been thinking about a spam feast latey and its starting to sound quite appealing i've posted about 5 threads but if i post to many they just delete them xD I was also told that i was going to get banned from the forums for thread spamming well there is always the create new acc button :P
I dont think we should stop complaining untill we get a result as i can obviously see that the MODs and GMs dont give a **** about us at all. To busy counting all that money im guessing 0.o I dont see a refund coming at all from all those ZP and GP items we've lost

Geez im like confused with these thing. can someone you explain it in simplier ways? Can you fix this thing with a patch? i'm like half my mind quiting every single good game disconnect... i mean i never had these problem in the 2 last patch. it's really ****ing me off. i turned off and turn on modem and pc doesn't seem to work that well for me. Any suggestion? i defraged with game booster. [KINDA WORK] i went to control panel go to network then i turned on the network discovery and i am a VISTA user. REINSTALLIN CF 5 TIMES Not helping. Please Fix it in a patch and by words that i could relate too :S THANKS

this is an old fix that dosen't work , you should reset your firewall settings. changing them is a bad idea in the first place. this is a server or xtrap error that has been ongoing for more than 3 weeks. support tickets and these threads don't offer much help. a few of us are flooding z8 forums with this problem. we are hoping a solution comes our way soon. but most have moved on to other things. -

well I guess they could ban all of us from the forums, but that's not going to solve the problem. I suggest no more than 1 new thread a day , and keep it clean.
I've been replying to all threads on this matter and I don't plan on stopping. A lot of us lost money to this problem. -
Not a good fix
Yeah I think that this "fix" is not very good at all. I had tech-support on the phone and they said that DMZ is very dangerous to your computer. Turning off your firewall is defineately not a fix. So im just waiting for a new patch to come out. Could be weeks, could be months... so to all the people who are being disconnected, unless you want your computer to be messed up, wait until a patch or get a new game. There is no "fix" -
About the game errors
Hey, I had these problems till' last week and I used all the tips that u posted here. I enable the networks, I shut down my antivirus completely and the firewall too, I thought everything was solved but now I am getting this: "Hack tool detected" or "Disconnected from server" of even "Failed to connect to server" again, and I am running out of options here... I thought the problems were solved and now I am back to the same again. -

there isn't a fix. this thread is marked solved , but it's an ongoing problem. don't change your computer/firewall/antivirus settings. it's a bad idea to begin with. -
One more complaint
I am seriously ****ed I came here for help and even went to the chat with Greycloak just yesterday and I EVEN trusted him to control my computer and it worked for about 10 min. after that same problem. This is serious BS but thats already been said. To go further I had one more......................... no wait ONE MORE DAILY MISSION ONE MORE ONE MORE and I download the patch excited to play escape mode and Disconnect due to Incorrect Map Info, Server is full and all the other notification I AM FURIOUS something must be done. -

All I get is "Incorrect Map Info", "Disconnected from server" and "Hack Tool Detected(1)" every time I try to play Crossfire.
Greycloaks "solution" was no help whatsoever.
It is very annoying when you get it on a daily basis -

There are probably many more, but these are some of the ones I have downloaded, and you don't get disconnected as often either.
Sorry Z8, but the problems have been ongoing. I think it's the HGWC , i.e. the Hacking GateWay Client that's having all the problems, but it seems that you don't really know what the issue is. Simply, people will just stop playing it, and no more money will come in, and then there will be no more CrossFire. Oh well, someone else can profit I guess. When are you going to listen? HGWC...... has a BIG problem. Check it.

I have been digging deep into my computer and disabling things that should never be disabled 0_o ...BUT... I found that turning off some services CAN help slightly slightly meaning that i got about 3hours of laggy gameplay before getting DC'd everytime after that. With them ignoring us so much im thinking that they must be working on a fix or somthing. Well as a person has sugested before it is the hacking gateway client thingy that is causing this problem. Deleting HGWC and Xtrap from the crossfire folder then starting CF can help slightly, and dont worry deleting them wont break CF because when you run crossfire it redownloads them ---> PS. not a permanent fix just temp
I'll keep lookin for things to help and maybe a permanent solution, which is impossible as we know that it is a server/HGWC/Dev's problem.... -

Exactly. I'm a vista user too and reinstalling like 5 times does not work either. Z8 just doesn't like to fix things. -

I guees its not the best for ny computer but I really ran out of options here, I see there are lots of ppl with the same problem and we are all too tired of the same situation, specially when I see that none of the people in my clan, or even those living in the same area have this problem so its not the internet. I tried deleting xtrap and reinstalling etc...didn´t work. -
Wait a minute.
I read somewhere on this forums that this issue is a router site problem. I think Greycloak wrote that.
Well I'll be damned but if this is really a router side issue then why the hell people playing on clan servers don't get disconnected?
It's a bit hypocrite isn't it. -

this game s.... more and more. full of glitches and no real antihack just a thing to make you feel protected. and i did put money in it... beter buy some other with real servers and real gamecoders that patch the hacks.this one to be hacked and played for boredom. -
Alright so I turned off the firewall and put my Belkin F5D8233 wireless N router into DMZ mode and restarted the router and my PC. I played for about 10 minutes and then the incorrect map info error popped up. My windows XP firewall is still on. help pls
