can always turn them back on. It's not a big deal. I do it all the time.

I turned off everything I could and still get dc. I've tried every fix. don't use a router so that's not it. I was hoping it was going to be fixed with the last patch , but no dice.

what OS do you have, and do you know what service was the problem ? I can shut off all but modem and 3 others before i have problems , be helpful if we could narrow it down. I haven't had any luck, because I still get dc error , but not as much. I get the xtrap error now and then also

This game sux after last updates ... 5 min -> DC or other idioting error. And squad what make this game dont repair all bugs ... cant they make reconnection function or something like this ? omg what a game. Today me played longest ever -> 10 minutes -_- AND REMOVE [SOLVED] mark from this thread name because this errors are still in game.

I use Windows Vista Home Premium, 4gig ram, Acer, not sure what year, 3.46Ghz cpu. Unfortunately I don't know EXACTLY what service(s) are hindering game play, but I turn off everything that I can, and a few things I'm not too sure about. Software Licensing is one, Program Compatibility Assistant, Cryptographic Services, ones that sound like they are inportant, like for digital signatures of files, which, as amazing as it sounds, allows you to play for longer, if not for as long as you like. I only play for a couple of hours at a time at the most though.... In total, I turn off about 30 services, and are left with about 15 running. Recently, I have been able to reboot my computer and do nothing else but start Crossfire, and it runs without getting d/c'd. Sorry I can't be of more help. I thought that it was something to do with program compatibility, but, other than that service turning back on again, it started d/c'ing me again. I know that if you 'STOP' a service, it can start back up again, but if you 'DISABLE' the wrong service, you cannot get back in to change the services back. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! YOU COULD LOCK YOURSELF OUT OF YOUR COMPUTER RENDERING IT USELESS!!!!!! ONLY STOP SERVICES, NOT DISABLE THEM. This 'fix' does not come with a money-back guarantee. (READ THE FINE PRINT)

x2 ive been having game lock up & crashes continously, and i tried all fixes its a ****ING SERVER ISSUE FIX IT U DAMN ****ING Lazy ass devs get off your ****ing asses and fix it, im tired of the Bull ****...

My pc is only 2 years old and runs every high end game there is, and this piece of **** game with its low requirements Freezes up 10x more than the best off the games out there

btw, i run XP Professional

Hey greycloak. You helped me earlier with the hack tool detected. I just wanted to say so far I have not gotten any errors at all. So far this is a working fix for the error. I just wanted to tell you it worked. Thank you and continue fixing other errors.

And by the "working fix" I ment forwarding the three ports that were suggested. Two days now, and no error. Kthxbai

well, i tried my last resort, while im not trying to jinks myself, think this may have worked... at least atm...

I have completely Re-installed Cross Fire Using one of the Actual Mirrors, and it had the big patch (which caused the problems in da first place) already installed... and it seems to be working, i havnt had lock-ups or crashes yet, but its only been 2 days, ill give it another 2 weeks, then let you know... (lol, and NOW the release a patch, gay devs)

But, i do want to know, for those of us having problems, did you have problems with the big patch downloading? cause i had that problem, then my game went to crap... so i really dont want another patch, cause its just gonna **** up my game again.... so idk

Sniper, do you remember what mirror you used? My problems started after the last patch also.

My computer is in a DMZ has all crossfire exe's in windows fire wall has all ports needed in there along with all ports needed in router but I still am getting disconnected and am thinking of quiting due to it being almost impossible to finish a single match. If this next patch does not fix then good bye but If you guys know of a step I missed plz tell me!!

Here is what I did to finally get it working, at least for now. Someone else said they uninstalled it and downloaded it from one of the mirror sites and it worked. I did that also than used CCleaner to clean it all up. I downloaded it from a mirror site and it's been working all day for me, don't know if it will stay that way but enjoying it while I can. Don't know if it will work for everybody else but it's worth a shot, good luck.

yea, it sounds like we're doing the same thing . I don't like poking around where I don't belong . but I try to make shure I can undo whatever I did.

Screw it incorrect map info might just be a vague as.s notification that contradicts the patch because they tried to patch the glitching idk. Z8 I just want you to know that I am now deep into and addicted to MapleStory and now Nexon gets my money. Later and until u fix this all you devs can eat a di.ck and bite a t.it. I got tired of nubs kicking me for dumb reasons n e way.

I have the same problem..when i get into some server,it kicks me from the game in a few seconds not minutes..my solution is that i go on clan server and be there for about 2 minutes and then i go on normal servers and i do that every time i go to play the game..

Same here every time I even tried on a wired and wireless connection same results. MapleStory man a chick turned me to it and its great Not to mention it doesnt disconnect.
