Ping --> internet speed?

My avg Ping is 10
If I was playing with someone with 100 ping I see him 90 milliseconds faster. Its not a big difference until you hit over the 200 ping range then ping had a major impact on game play.

So is this why there harder to kill when there ping is 200+? If so that sux cause I waste alot of bullets!!!

ya its those people where you shoot them 30 times and yet no DMG registers

i was told that is where the money is and since i love computers to go in that direction..

Its not a bad course... but be ready for a lot of reading and work.... it is not easy by any standers

Hah, I have a high-speed ADSL2+ wireless and my pings are about as same as my friend who has a uber-comparatively slow ADSL as well as the fact we both live in Australia. It's all about distance!

you only can get more trafic when you get beter internet

so no, internet speed doesn't affect the ping.
it is just the road your internet has to do

Haven't you been reading what Icely and Delaco have been postin? There are multiple things that effect you ping. Your analogy of the roads is correct, but internet speed also effects your ping. Ping is the speed at which your computer and the server send packets between each other in milliseconds.

Guys I have read all of this and have searched the forums as best I can but I still cannot find out how to check what ping I am getting for the game.

Can someone give me some basic instructions on how to do this?

When your in game. Press TAB to bring up the player list and to the right of your score is your ping. So the farthest Column to the right is the Ping Column. I think the game calls it "status" or "latency".
