and once again I explain that this method does not work;
sorry but:This will open up the Processer Afinity box. You should see CPU 0 & CPU 1 with check marks in both boxes. Or more boxes if you have more then a dual core.
you have a IT technician diploma ? because I have - and already I tried all the solutions to this problem -
and once again I explain that this method does not work;
sorry but:
CPU 0 & CPU 1 yea sure - i have cpu with only 1 core
Where have you mentioned this didnt work for you? And sucks to hear this hasnt worked for you but ***it does work*** for some of us at least. For me 100% & so far a few others have confirmed its a working solution for them as well.
It may not work for everybody & everybody whos experiencing this prob may not have more then a single core processor. Although from what Ive seen, so far it seems to mainly affect those with a dual or quad core.
For anyone experiencing this prob its definatly got positive results so far & is worth a try.
And whats the point asking if I have an IT Tech diploma? That makes absolutly no sense.....No one needs to have a diploma to use their common sense & personal ingenuity to solve a problem.
In the mean time, if you havent tried it already, make sure & try the other fix I mentioned: setting your Crossfire.exe to low priority & give that a try. GL. -
It actually makes sence that this could be a problem.. Since the CPU is split up to different sections, they share jobs and as they share, depending on your specs, there could be some type of "lag" or delay in certain functions.. The only thing that debunks this though is if you play any other FPS game and the sticky doesn't happen at all. I've played a few different games and I've never had a sticky problem there... It's always only been on this CF. I wonder if the z8games staff can look at the files from other CF versions (transfered to english of course) and also talk to their staff also to see if it's a recurring situation and wether or not there has been a fix.

Ill tell ya what, I can testify first hand that this is the prob, at least for most of us having this issue. Some people may be confused about what were talking about. They may confuse in game lag for what were actualy dealing with or something else perhaps. But Ive dealt with this and has drove me nutssssss for over 6 months. Ive always been a fairly regular CF player so literaly hours and hours and hours of game time dealing with this prob over the course of at least half a year, so trust me, unfortunatly Ive become very familair with this particular issue & dealing with it on a constant basis.
Ever since the first time I did exactly as described in my post, and every time thereafter, Ive not had even a single hint or problem with keyboard and mouse freezing up on me any more. Everything is completly smooth and 100% working the way its supposed to be now. Not a single Hiccup & Ive prolly got about 10 hours at least of game time in, in the last week. And it is all because I changed the settings on my processor to use only CPU 0 each time I start the game.
And as far as other games not having the prob, youre right. 100 different games I could list off online and on my pc Ive played never had that prob but every game is different and the coding for each game is so incredibly vast and in depth and complex that it leaves a very wide margin for error where any number of things can go wrong or conflict with the users hardware, software or firmware. In this game something in particular with CF code or that of X-trap as most people suspect.
Ive contacted tech support with this info to have them look into it. Bottom line is though, Im definatly on to something here as this has completly solved a problem that has haunted me for a long time and also confirmation from a few others so far that it has helped them. Hopefuly itll help others as well. -

Miami, is this a problem that has been affecting you? If so do you have a dual or quad core processor? And if so, if youre going to try my method, please make sure to post back your results. As far as finding a permanent way to set this, thats beyond my scope. There may be an internal setting to to do that but Ive never had to deal with it so off the top of my head IDK, Id bet theres prolly a program manager you can install to do that at least. Might have to Google around a little. Otherwise, It literaly takes me like 5 seconds each time I load the game to make the changes & go back to my game. So yeah its a little bothersome but at least the games playable now. ( :

Both computers I use have dual core processors. I use one at work and one at home.. One at work is better but it both are affected by this "sticky" issue. I know it's very small time to set it to 1 part of the CPU, just wanted to see if there was another way to have it automatically set. 5 seconds doesn't bother me. -
