V.I.P System - Breakdown & Reasoning
1) What is this VIP System and what does it do?
- This is implemented in other versions for 'ZP' buyers. I believe you pay for a certain amount of days or months for this feature. It allows a person to gain access to certain features that otherwise would be unavailable.
-Kick Vote Immune: You cannot be selected for vote kicks. Making you unable to be kicked from a room during game play.
-Access to special items/weapons only available to VIPs.
-Your rooms generate extra GP and XP for those who play, including you.
-Able to kick people on any side. Be it GR or BL, no matter what side your on. Even in FFA and MM.
-Possibly other features that I do not know of placed in other versions.
2) But wait a minute... Thats quite a bit of power! That'll be abused greatly!
-It shouldn't be all that easy to obtain for such membership. And should cost quite of ZP if we were ever to implement it. As well as other requirements needed to even obtain and continue using such.
-Only Master Sergeant/2nd LT or higher can purchase VIP. This will eliminate random low ranking players or new accounts from abusing this power. You will have had to play for quite a bit of time.
-Karma system, if a VIP is suspected of abusing the power, they can be reported if done so unfairly. Players can submit reports of evidence of a kick vote in place. Depending on the selection, will determine the method. Hacks and illegal programs will need a screen shot of the VIP kicking, as well as the replay for investigation. If the file was proved false, the VIP will gain a demerit. All other forms will generally only require a screen shot. If a VIP is shown to have been abusing such, they will be stripped of being able to use it.
******** using VIP's would be one of the easier methods of catching them. Adding an option to the Support web form of 'Is VIP?' to narrow down IGN and reports. VIPs would have more investigators considering the numbers probably wouldn't be as high. And being in their own category. Making them quicker targets to spot if they hacked.
I find that this would be a better solution than simply removing the kick system. Other versions have it and seems to workout quite nicely. It would also help stop players from taking abuse from new players and give a defense. At the risk of being responsible for some of their actions.
Comments and critique welcome.

that would be good but remember... vote system is abused as it is...imagine the guy who could kik anyone he wanted.. and you know there are kids that would pay to just get "fun" destroying other players playability. plus, no matther what your rank is... with farm every kid could reach there with no problem...
sorry, it's a good idea but in our version this would not work.. even with karma system or punishment etc -

Also most VIP members are...b1tchy. So..yeah.
So true. MM has already turned into a "ooh look at mai gun, sexier than your's" competition, but kids bragging and get bit.chey that they can't be kicked, would be FAR more annoying than any aspect of the current system. -
Your idea got stupid when you said 'VIPs cannot be kicked'. So, it will be easy for an actual cheater not to get kicked - Good thinking small fry.
This system is already in place in other versions. Its not -MY- idea. It was a suggestion to have it implemented. And if you bothered to read the rest, a system would be in place to check for such things as VIP cheaters.
Regardless, as you say, the VIPs would abuse this power most likely, hence the karma system. kicking without reason will yield penalties that they may not want to cross. -
Don't forget, most foreigners still buy ZP while hacking. Most of them would just abuse that VIP, not caring if they get banned or not.
Hence the keener tracking of VIP reports. Faster bans there, plus, if that is the case, Z8 will benefit from the BR wasting money on the VIP tag from his insta-ban. -

Suggest this when mods get it.
We dont have ingame powers and you want zp buyers to have? -

Mods will most likely gain this as a permanent addition as one of their perks most likely, and by that time you should have more powers including ban buttons. -
I read the first part of it. And decided that we are better without VIP system. ZP buyers already get huge advantages with weapons/EXP + Items/ and other items like the bullet proof vests. It would be a much fairer game if they didn't add this, but I know that Z8/CF Designers would do anything to get that extra $$$ monthly/weekly.

Well, 10 dollars isn't that much. -

10 dollars isn't a lot, but look at how many people we have in-game now.
10,000 people (minimum) X £10. = $100,000.00 Dollars monthly/weekly.
The cheaper it is the more people would buy it and the more the game would get messed up. -
Kelathe, I strongly agree with your suggestions. I wouldn't mind paying money (for a sort of premium membership) to have kick vote immune to be able to play in peace. Today I got about 4 wins and 16 losses for daily S&D eagles eye mission and every-time I was an Ace I got insulted, called a failure in real life by a guy with an IGN mR-Friendly and kicked. It took me an incredibly long time to complete the mission because of the kicks and stacked as hell teams.

I didn't quite get the solution to potential abuse..
The guy with VIP needs to save the replay and screenshots and argue his way out of a VIP deletion every time he kicks someone, and that person disputes it?
No, I probably should have clarified it. The person that seems to believe the kick vote is injust, would send such a report. This can either be the person whom got kicked, or a fellow player who screencapped the prompt to vote. its not 100% perfect, but trying to work out some ideas. Haven't gotten much input otherwise. -

No. Just... No... This game is unfair enough as it is.
Explain the unfair aspect? Personally, I think unfair is being kicked from games unjustly. This is one set to improving the game. If it works for others, why not ours?spongylicious wrote: »CF IS F**KedThis quote pretty much sums up on all of the threads of the entire forums.

As for you two, nice set of thoughts, perhaps instead there could be some constructive ideas going on to possibly change that attitude? CF wasn't always like this, and its getting better, so it won't always be down if some show a little initiative.
