What the upcomping patches need.
Alright, i don't really know where to begin as my mind is boggled the way this game is going content wise, however i will try to attack my main points as best as i can. For about a while now (the last few patches). The majority of the content we have gotten has been useless in many ways and hasn't improved the game or game play in general thus making these content patches a joke. I will now make a list of all the things that have been simply a waste (no use to the game). This list will only be of the content that has come in RECENT patches as i cannot go back too far.
- Bunny garbage
- Friend log in and out notifactions ( are you serious? it's annoying and leads to fps spikes, takes up space etc.
- STAR
- Mutation Smoke
- Mutation mode
- ALL the new MM maps
- MM characters/items
- RPK camo/GOLD ( why do we need 3 versions of a stupid gun)
- gatling gun
- Winchester scope
- AWM red dragon
- soccer grenade
- Black market notifications (WHO CARES? just another way fps can spike in this game)
As you can see, this list can go on and on. Now i will head on towards the lies; wait no, there's too many of those. So i will give one example, June 23 there was a patch, in that patch this statement was made in this thread: http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=69932
"WOGL Pro League Tournament Spray added (To be added to accounts once preseason is concluded)."
Nobody who plays in WOGL has received this spray. Self explanatory.
However after all of this, people STILL play this game. Good teams and players still exist and a great league is still around and looking to grow. These are all great positives and i think WOGL is the best thing that has ever happened to crossfire.
However this game can be SO much better with just some smarter and at the same time BETTER content. Now if z8 games is really a company that WANTS to improve this game, they will listen to what the community is saying NOW and has been saying for a LONG time. When i say community, i am speaking of the intelligent part of the community, not the people who do not understand what an fps game is about. Not the people who patch crossfire to shoot green monsters, wear rabbit clothing, and throw soccer balls with a baseball helmet.
Here is a list of what NEEDS to come to this game. I would not have put anything on this list if i didn't think it would absolutely improve/help this game A LOT. If you wish to get more information on WHY i think this addition should be added so to speak just tell me on this thread and i will make another thread specific to THAT very addition to go into further detail.
- Mercenary/Bounty Mode (Buy system)
- Round time options for SnD (Drop down menu for round times i.e 2:00, 1:45)
- Model Boosting (like mutation mode where mutants can stack/boost without slipping)

- Pistols FIXED. We have on real pistol in this game: Deagle. Thatt's it is superior to any other pistol. The glock is a waste. so, FIX the glock, give us a USP that works and can put up a fight with the deagle. Little things like these make a huge difference.

- Having an options to turn off those stupid pop ups of friend notifications and black market wins.
- Update the tickrate on servers.
- Fix crashing room errors
- Fix Respawn glitch.

Now i know all of these things are ALL 100% possible and can be done. Developers, translator, and GM's are all in Toronto. They DO talk, and things from the community can be EASILY passed on to the devs. This is not a thread for arguments, its is a thread for approving of these items and WANTING these things implemented in this game for the better of the community. I rushed the end of this thread because i have to go scrim, any questions PM me or ask here if it's short and sweet.

Would be just an OPTION for example if someone wanted to broadcast the match i.e WOGL or a shout caster it could be done. It wouldn't be necessary for ordinary scrims. -

Nobody involved with the actual coding process resides in North America.
If anything its on a detail level, like access to change typos, although I'm not even sure about that.
And stuff aren't easily passed on to the devs, unfortunately.

Good clans wouldn't do it.
I want the following...
- Increase "spawn" time at round start
- Decrease round time overall
- Random spawns on clan server
I don't really care for the rest, I guess I am not as emotionally attached to Counter Strike as some. Although having it as such would add a new and interesting element to the game. I sort of... dread it I guess? I would rather see the basics fixed before we start adding new frills. -
i completely agree, and those suggestion by the original poster are but the tip of the iceberg. but just sum or all of those changes alone would make crossfire a higher ranking competitor in the fps market.
crossfire may be a lower end in graphics but it has a ton of untapped potential that could make up for that. and i would love to see some of the z8staff totally hyped about making this game and community more enjoyable. for all of the players and the people who are still hearing about the game and joining daily. think about wut pros, newbies, and potential players want to hear about the game and make it happen.
more exotic and modern guns,(rare versions of guns are ok but theres too many m4s and aks), more equipment options, balanced mall pricing,more video ads to watch for z8 points
, more character models, more major and minor bug fixes,and lots and lots of OPTIONS all sorts of OPTIONS, people are OPTION MANIACS and want tons of OPTIONS of every category -
