Open a Server for Middle-East Players...

• olpers is right. Majority of the disadvantages you mentioned also exists for laggers (except extremely high pings like 400+, but then the game is also unplayable for themselves). It is about the time gap, and the one with the lower ping definitely holds the initiative here. Probably because of the physics engine design, higher ping will make you suffer not just with a delayed vision, also many things like random physical inconsistencies like very high recoil, random grenade bounces etc., delayed key event triggering, even lower frequency for continuously applied signals(holding down a key). That means you have more clunky controls with delays, lower movement speed, lower weapon ROF and longer weapon idle times (key trigger delay to draw + draw animation time). Also a lagger's client can't freeze you, because room you are playing in exists on server physically and normally none of the clients can directly intervene with a process running on the server without its authorization in the client-server distribution model they are using.

You know you are answering to a 2 year old thread right? With topics that aren't even relevant anymore.

To everyone
This trend in reviving old threads is beginning to be tiresome for the eyes. It isn't that hard to start a thread yourselves.
Can some nice mod please start closing older threads.

This is so true. I have to admit that I also have fallen into the trap of replying to old threads without realising it. The forum is so dead now. The days posts do not add up to much. Sometimes I end up scrolling through old posts just to see something interesting that I have not seen before, only to realise how old they actually are.
Tiredness plays a big part. ( that's my excuse an i'm sticking to it :o )
What has happened to the forum? Where did everyone go? Bring back the old times when the forum was buzzing.
Good Luck to all you Cross Fire survivors out there.
Stay Safe !

I think the forum is extra empty right now, because (even though the Covid-19 crisis) a lot of players are on vacations. Hopefully, it will be better around September.

Well I think it is still relevant. Because introducing the MENA server did not change anything at all. And why open a new thread if the old one still applies? In other Forums u get bashed for asking the same question over and over again in a new thread

It isn't relevant, because a server exists and it's game/forum forbidden to revive old threads. You'll probably only get warned, but several warnings and you'll get banned, so it isn't a good idea.
If you have to open an old thread, open one of those that discusses exactly what you are saying. Yours is not the first complain I've seen about them not using their own server. For an example, suggestions has been up, not too long ago, about locking IP's to force people to play in their own server. I don't think such a thing will change anything though, as it isn't hard to work around.

On a personal note, I just hate necro-posting, it's disorder and I hate disorder.:D
