A little success
I now revoke all flaming prior to this post. I signed on today and I play every mode no problem for the entire morning except for one mode ESCAPE. To think about it does anybody think that the team switch function is the problem? Just wondering. -
Cool a soluition! But its strange how it mighht be router to blame. I use 2 computers thru ssame router and problem only exists in 1 computer. Also, (this happens rarely only happened twice in past month) when I start game and click start game button it shows a small menu saying "Msz file doesn't exist." and then crossfire closes and I have to restart. This only happens to pc that experiences "disconnect due to incorrect map info". I don't know if this might be the reason I keep getting that error. Does anyone know how to fix "Msz file doesn't exist" error? Maybe that could solve my problems.

of its only happen twice then just wait for the patch..
if the patch does not fix then I think a few people will be angry.
I was playing still to do the daily mission but now It does not notice im doing the mission so I think ill just stop playing altogether until the next patch. -
I tried forwarding all ports listed in this thread, and even moved my PC into a NMZ, still Disconnected due to incorrect map info.
I cannot connect straight into the modem as there are 3 other people in the house in my LAN.
This would also disqualify disabling the router's firewall as it would be compromising the other computers in my LAN.
Are there any other fixes for this, or am I doing something wrong? -

by any chance is the one that doesn't work a windows XP? -
I get this message about 4-8 (or more) times a day, mostly at night.
I cant play between 2AM and 8AM. That ****e's me off.. I'm mostly active at night.
This is bad, i was woundering if I were the only one that get this or if it is my net, it seems like it's quite many who have this problem and I hope Z8games will do something with this soon! -

Yeah I'm a night player too, but not for long if this error keeps disconnecting me mid-game.
It's a shame too, because this game is fun to play and was considering purchasing some ZP,but I see no use in it if I'm not even going to be able to play a full match.
I certainly hope there's a more permanant fix in the works,because adjusting my router isn't working. -

i never noticed, but now when you say it.. i also only get disconnected at night time, at the day i run the game with like no dc's.... -
Sorry but this is a crossfire error before this dint happens , I no will off my firewall only becouse crossfire is discconecting me , I stoped to buy zp becouse I am not happy to being disconected all times , some time after 3 times that discconect me I give up and I play others games , I hate when I am playing verywell and this error discconect me .
Crossfire team who must to solve this problem and make crossfire better for everyone .

can we get a god damn fix on this? Its really ****ing me off when im doing really well in a game and get disconnected. It OBVIOUSLY has nothing to do with our computers, and is a bug with crossfire.
Stop distracting us with lame "fixes" that dont work please. -

I find it humorous how in the UW news letter they say to stop posting about it you know what I think? ok I will stop posting but all my moneys r belong to combat arms and other fps that actually work now. -
Well, I've now tryed every fix in this thread including plugging directly into the modem, disabling the firewall, forwarding the listed ports, and placing my PC in a DMZ.
I have BENT OVER BACKWARDS trying to play your game Z8,this is a major issue considering people can't play your game for more than 5-10 minutes. Wouldn't you think it's worth a more universal fix?
I will no longer be playing this game, and am discontinuing my support of Z8games. I will not reccomend any of your services to anyone, and will be going to play something that actually works. -

i'm sorry but disabling firewalls just sounds like a bad idea. i think the devs need to work on this a bit more so it isn't a personal security risk for the users. taking down firewalls causes invasions, and invasions cause pc health damage and pc health damage = player loss -
Well i play from 3 days.Till today i wasn't having this problem,but now i start a map and i get disconnected with incorect map data.I'm not using any AV or other background programs,all my protection is from the ****ing windows firewall and now i need to disable it in order to play oO....

its getting on my nerves
always when i want to play cf it hit me out of game with reasons like Hack Tool has been Detected or Disconnect due incorrect map info or a Disconnected from server without playing some matches.
i always try 5-6 times to restart cf but it hits me always out of the game
only 1 in 30 tries is a success ...
and that this Thread is "SOLVED" i can´t say because it is like 100 miles from 101 away -
After I installed the latest patch gives me disconect to preservation in a fun, water 2:00 bother and not manage to play before this patch chun me half an hour, an hour that it much, but now all go. I have Windows 7 (64bit). Just can not find a solution for this problem, just can not do anything, I can not believe that you are not able to make this game go smoothly, and to find as some fixes.

I'm done guys I give we've complained and complained and yet as of today i downloaded the newest patch hoping that this problem would be solved and guess what. So I will now make this my last reply to this thread until someone finds the solution. Now I will only check back periodically for the real solution. -

why did you "delay" the patch and yet all it does is give us a thong wearing STAR a Winchester with horrible hit box and lame maps with 100's of glitch's and when I walk forward I fall under the map?
I hate z8games so horribly now.

Problems Galore
It seems to me that there are many complaints about it all. I have downloaded the new patch, and it went fine for the first game I was playing. I quit the game, then restarted, and it hit me with the same problem, 'Disconnected due to incorrect map info.' Incorrect,...I downloaded from Z8, it auto-patched, I don't use hacks or mods, and it d/c'd me for no reason. Unfortunately, the more we gripe and goan about a free game, the more they will ignore us. They have enough people that can play that are paying money for ZP and the likes, why do they need us? I play several games now, including Combat Arms. IDK anymore about the problems, even when they do listen, they don't really try. It's not solved, the many so-called solutions have no relevance to my system at all, I just don't pay much attention to them. I had to, at one stage, turn off every windows service I could so that I could play for more than one minute, but then I realized that it was like an addiction getting the best of me, so I had to be stronger than that, and I gave it up. Now I don't play many games for very long any more, I kicked my addiction in the butt. Thankyou Z8 for giving me the strength to give my habit up! Now for the smoking......NAAAAAAA......I'll continue that!! -

Exact same problem here, This bug is actually been caused by the kicking "afk"ers system.
I'm starting to hate it now too.
