  • If you're refferring to my offer, I assure you, I was sincere. I'm a decent PS user, and your BG doesn't look too good. PM me if you'd like me to help you make your site look better.
  • The website banner needs some work.
i would also suggest purchasing a .com, .net, or .org domain name.
    They're cheap.
    http://www.namecheap.com

    I owned 4 at one point. :D
  • Yeah we are looking into all that definitely. Plus, I think it would be more attractive to post that teams wanting to play, would enter a small entry donation and the winner of the tournament would get a hefty ZP prize most likely. Let's say 16 teams enter, say... 5 bucks... 50000 zp prize for winner? I dunno. Just throwing ideas around now. Maybe have tournaments often, so more teams will come back? Hmm. Throw some ideas in here.

EDIT: The ACS will be changed to Growler. UAC2 is apparently not popular with the better portion of the CF community. lol :)
  • i'm new to all this leagues and stuff.

    What is a league exactly?

LOL..omfg loved the idea...well but googling league didnt benefit me _|_
  • nfraction is looking to join. We wouldn't mind a good tourney. SOme good help centers and stuff would be nice
  • Thanks for all the replies. We are working on a new website with kmleague script, in order to provide better management of league stats, member tracking, etc. I will keep everyone updated. Once we get a "rough draft" of the website, I will link it here so everyone can shed light on the improved site. I certainly hope to get more support. I see a couple clans are showing a remote interest in participating. That's good news! Also, we are also working on getting live video broadcasting for the website in order to provide a more entertaining experience :-). I hope we can attract more teams that would be willing to participate.

Now, to address the issue of whether or not this clan is termed "Competitive": Of course, I want the competitiveness there, but this is just as much for fun as it is for being competitive. Yes, we will run Growler or some form of ACS, but only to ensure fair play. This league is meant more to keep teams playing more than just regular games or scrimmages. This provides an outlet, to play a little bit more competitively but still have a lot of fun. All the prizes will almost definitely be in ZP form. Just a way to benefit the CF community and Z8Games at the same time.

    Hi,

We need to talk. I am incharge of the International Association of Professional Clans(IAPC). I think we would benefit from talking to each other about this.

    contact me ar cfproclans@hotmail.com

    Thank You!
  • Ok everyone. We have a new site set up. It is VERY limited right now, just the main homepage is availabe. Just wanted to put it out here so everyone can see and get an idea for where this is going. Let me know what you guys think.

    http://cagl.comyr.com/

EDIT: The site is undergoing admin maintenance right now at 5:00PM EST. Please keep checking back and give us your reviews.
  • Okay everyone. The site is back up and ready to be looked at :-)

UPDATE: The anti-cheat will be Growler. Players will be required to run it during matches and keep the video on their computer for a minimum of one week. If player is suspected of cheating, a CAGL admin will ask to TeamView the player and he/she must accept. The video will be reviewed for fair play. Players are also subject to random TeamViews.
  • lol growler and teamview. sounds like a pug draft.

If you have any ideas, please share lol. Also this is meant to be fun as well as semi-competitive. Nothing like WOGL. So I don't see any problems with using growler and teamview. Ideas? lol

well for example if i were to join(definitely not though since i won't play CF soon)... i would be against anyone teamviewing me just cause i am too lazy to download teamviewer and learn how to use it. on the other hand i growler or fraps every game so that's no big deal

wasn't there going to be a UAC2 anti-cheat or something? you said that on another thread i believe
  • Add me on Xfire if you got it and don't mind. It's easier to talk on there lol.

    lstrongsidel

And yes, I was planning on using UAC2 Anti-cheat but I've gotten a lot of feedback saying, "Get a better ACS." We're going with what we got, lol.

don't have xfire and i wouldn't want to talk about a league since i could care less about CF's competitive future. just saying no point of having a league with teamview and growler

also i'd like to add... stop making a thousand threads about your league. stick to one
  • If I may place my input (?);
    • Your headline banner [on the website], and your "semi-competitive" motto contradict themselves
    • If your main idea is derived around "semi-competitive" I'd suggest constructing the rules & terms around that very idea. Yes you'd like a competitive edge, but at the end of the day semi is an offering for those who don't take it as serious. So copy & pasting the WOGL rules might not be the best, as we base our outline STRICTLY on competitive gaming. We invite the non competitive and friendly users, but our league(s) & tournaments are 100% competitive based. Might want to loosen things up for the spectrum of players you've initially 'idea-d' around.
    • Legally, I might suggest the removal of either the Xfire broadcast links, or the idea of donation. If in the case you receive money [as a business] and use a licensed and/or copyrighted third-party 'add-on' so to speak as a perk in your business, you are by law authorized to pay a license fee + tax towards that specific company (it says this in the broadcasting terms, and various other business/licensing laws. Xfire might only suggest a percentage of each dollar.). So if in fact you DON'T pay the fee and someone reports you, the actions will range from a simple warning at first to a $250,000 USD Copyright fine [federal offense]. Just a tid-bit of business advise...

Very, very helpful. So let's say I want to keep the XFire Broadcast, I would have to get in touch with XFire to pay a fee, if I have the donation? and BobbyBlack, would it be possible to talk on xfire or not right on the forums? Your input would be extremely helpful.
  • If this goes through i'd join a few tourneys.
  • Trying to get feedback on:
Rules - What items to allow/not allow (Characters, weapons, items)

Just post on here things you think should be allowed and things you think shouldn't be allowed. As this is "semi" competitive, I want to gear it around the players and be less stringent as Bobby said.

THIS- ....is the loop hole. You may post a link for donations, but DO NOT advertise or mention it. Does that make sense? For instance: DO NOT say we accept donations. A donation link is sufficient enough. And you DO NOT want to pay licensing fees to Xfire! It's such a pain in the neck, and they've probably got 5-6 corporate lawyers. You'd end up getting bullied.
