False Advertisement from Razer promotions

So as the promotion from Crossfire announcement page and Facebook
I bought $100 from Razer, and $79.99 should go to Z8 page, which as this advertisement



I expect to spend $79.99 to get 130k ZP. And 100K ZP spend on Chroma crates.
I bought 100 crates on the web, I do get the crates and bonus crates as well.
But I didn't receive extra other 30k ZP as your ads,
Later I check it again, there is a contradictory on these 2 ads.
This one said you can buy the crates via ZP



But the other one indicates that buy US DOLLAR, and it said "Please note that you are directly purchasing the items described above with no ZP included." as the very bottom,


So now, which ad is true, and which one is false. Because now I end up making a plan based on your Ads, and end up didn't receive what I was expecting,.,,,,
I will send support ticket to this for sure. But this is a warning for whoever want to buy these crates

just the same price like when you buy Zp on Z8 .
you still have to buy them through razer with gold.

i think he means that the normal zp/usd rate is 80 dollars 130k zp but he was charged 80 dollars and got 100k zp

As the way I expected pay $80 to get 130k ZP then buy 100 crates with 100k ZP.
But it turns out that when you purchase the crates, it direct you to buy ZGold and when you return to the merchant you got 0 ZP reload, but 100 crates and bonus crates sit in your storage. That how it is right now.

you don't even get $80 = 100k ZP, you get $80 = 100 Chroma crates, there is no ZP transaction in between. You will get 0 ZP if you use the Chroma crate page.

Then what is the point for them to put 100k ZP = 100 crates on the ads, and It's not always like that, Black Friday 2017 Chroma crates was on sale 30% and purchasing via ZP, not by Razer site.

i think there was no razer sale on black friday, cant remember right....
but it was always through razer when they came out , im pretty sure.

Chroma crates have only been available 3 times now and have always been direct buy at the same price. They were not available during black friday.

While it is a bit misleading for the chroma banner on announcement to say 100 crates = 100k zp what it is saying with each of those is that the packs cost the same amount of money as the traditional zp purchases. Which becomes plainly obvious when you visit the actual sale page.

I wish I could find the picture of all the sale on Black Friday. Because I know the Chroma crates for the 1st time on Black Friday 2017 with 30% off ZP. Moreover, "it's the way it used to be" more like take it for granted, just because it's that way before that doesn't mean they can pretend nothing happen, people actually take responsive actions on the promotion. And I think the corrective actions is appropriate in this case.

From a brief glance over the thread it appears that you either misread or misunderstood the promotion, or are looking at two different promotions and getting them confused. If you send a ticket with the full information, they can explain it better to you.

He didn't misread it, he's just saying that, even though the thread for the chroma stuff says we can buy them with ZP. If you go to buy the chroma stuff it redirects you to razer to use zgold, and not ZP.

What he meant is that it says you buy the crates with ZP on the Chroma thread. So then people bought some ZP in order to buy those Chroma crates. Then when the sale page went live, it said you need to buy them with zVault. So they bought ZP for nothing.

Same here, i bough ZP for the crate, and then i was like ... " oh"
I saw on the banner 100k ZP, so i did not paid much more attention to this. So i end up buying 10 crate, no win from them and from the 24 crate also ! ( but thats not the point )

I think it is also very easy to misunderstand. The thread says get bonus ZP plus that 100 crates = 100,000ZP making it seem like someone would buy crates with ZP. I think the wording on the advertisement could be confusing especially if the sale page wasn't live already for people to see you buy it directly through Razer not with ZP. The thread starter's location says California, so it's not like there's language barrier thing going on.

And there is no misunderstanding here, it stated as clear as crystal 100k ZP = 100 crates, is it not ?
What exactly is the misunderstanding here? How else do you understand 100k ZP = 100 crates?

I know, hopefully if enough say it's confusing they will make it right for you and know to word things better in the future.

If you bought ZP thinking you needed ZP to buy the Chroma crates then I suggest you immediately send in a support ticket indicating that you bought ZP for Chroma to find out it was a direct buy and need to resolve the issue.

At the same time...hopefully those of you who bought ZP because of what the forum announcement said have not yet spent any of that ZP as it's possible that if you've spent some they won't do the exchange.

Edit: also not sure if it was posted in the forum thread after they changed it but it was stated in the official Discord that if you are among those people to send in a ticket to see about getting it set right.

Maybe there are gonna do a compensation for those who have deposit via razer ? i'm stuck with 130k ZP that clearly was for buying Chroma crate.
Yeah i could buy something else, but thats not the point. A seller won't tell you " oh sorry we gave you a book, keep it and buy glasses next time now maybe ?" ( oh you... ^__^ )

A compensation or something could be great, z8 or razer will NOT give any refund in any way. let's see how things are going, maybe i'll learn a lesson.

I believe the correct term to use here is misleading.

Also do note that they probably won't admit that they made a mistake even if they did.

I don't know if that's what they were told to act or they're doing it themeselves out of pride.

They actually did make admit to it...or at least fix it. When it was brought up to Grumpy and he fixed the forum post he said they'd rectify it for those who they can 'when' they send in a support ticket. Then a little drama happened when asked if they'd make a post on the forum thread indicating the mistake.... Which was just kinda...WOW. And that was all that was said for awhile until later Pasta added this note into the discord announcements (she changes her discord name often lolol):

For the people who bought ZP to buy the Razer Chroma Crates, please submit a ticket

However, I'd reckon to say that if you've spent ANY of that ZP already then they won't be able to rectify the issue for you. Though it could still be worth a try. At the end of the day...if you bought ZP thinking you were going to need it for the Chroma sale due to that incorrect information on the forum post then you should send in a ticket. with any luck. you'll get your ZP removed and crates given. which IMO is fair enough and they don't need to compensate this time as they ARE giving the possibility to simply rectify the issue.
