Let's be honest... Will this game survive at this rate?

I was everyone's opinion on this game and the state that it is in right now. With things getting worse every year and issues being avoided I feel like things are only just going to get to the point when people don't want to keep forcing themselves to play on.

Issues like the poor optimization that we are dealing with making the game actually hard to play ( especially for Windows 10 players which is absolutely terrible for that still to be an issue ) there's going to come a time when people will give up and go elsewhere.

Now I remember people saying this game would complete die off in 2015 which it didn't so what about now? It's been 2 years since 2015 and issues from 2015 are still present with there being new things added to the game the core issues that I have dealt with since day 1 has been looked over and that's been the main problem here with new things coming in but nothing being fixed. Little things like why isn't there a way to turn down the " FIRE IN THE HOLE " voice or why can't they just delete the annoying spark sound on the 2.0 maps when you play on the best settings? These little things are stuff that I would expect to be fixed with an ease but haven't, and now there's bigger problems which are ruining the game such as the game's poor optimization that I've already said and of course the amount of hackers which everyone should know of already so there's no point stating it out.

Honestly I do hope things start to change in 2018 but we are so close to the end of 2017 and I am just worried that nothing will be done anytime soon. If anything I would just love to see a good few months of just pure focus on repairing the game with all the game issues.

If things don't actually start working anytime soon then maybe the game won't survive too well just like CF EU right now which is close to death (r.i.p).

But yeah just state your opinion on how the game will be in the near future.

Well Warhawk, don't you remember when there was like 9 servers full at one time?

The reality is i only play this game because i have invested quite a lot and still have a few friends here. The game itself does not have much to offer anymore. It's more of a grind with social aspects for me.

True, that's been the case for some time. But I bet there are more players playing for free than players that invest so much into the game. If I was wealthy I wouldn't even bothering putting anything onto this game unless I just wanted to show off to people.

I just went back to see the reviews on SGW as a working environment... new reviews in and people still hating the work place there for around the same reason lol so yeah maybe something is up...

That's another reason why people stay around, just cause they realized they've already invested so much that at this point they want to stay with the game since they don't want their money feeling like a waste.

Now if they decided to clean everyone's account to 0 I couldn't see people staying to play. Now now I know people would leave if they decided to delete everything that you've paid for but that's beside the point, I am looking at it in a way that if this was just a pure game with no need to invest money into it the game would be dying even at a faster rate.

Well it wasn't hard to come up with this thought was it.
  • we had such a hack wave back in 2012-2013 and people thought (just like everyone now) that it is the end of Cf (again) and at the end, the game survived and here we are in the same situation and saying the same things , and as it is always said, "never say never" so IMO one day it will be alright but till that day comes, kanadian will be yelled at by forumers all day long ;):D

Oh please. In 2012 there were atleast 10 hacking websites, each with around half a dozen hack creators, each hacker creating a new hack every 5 days or so. Back then there was XTrap that used to get patched atleast 2 times a week, patching all hacks and banning those who were stupid enough to keep using them. Back then even during the worst hack waves we had all 4 UK and and 3 Na servers full.
  • 2009 was worst. I do miss being sniped by ghosts in GM.

XTrap got so much hate but nowadays it sounds like everyone loved it, I ain't going to forget people called it XCrap.

With UK3 and UK4 being packed at PRIME TIMES and NA1 not reaching it's max I can see clearly things are going downhill. It's only a matter of time when UK3 doesn't get maxed and then that dies out and we only have UK4 being active.

Lmao nah it's fax boi. Look at the traffic in NA servers. This game is dead fam. Almost everyone here switched to CS:GO. Funny story, I met a very very old forumer here who used to post on forums in 2009-2010 in a CS:GO competitive match. He had the exact same name and when I asked if he played CF before he got frightened loool. Tell me one p2w weapon in CS:GO. 0. Part of their revenue is re-skins and those re-skins have the exact same stats. Valve can actually manage a game properly and aren't hella greedy. Greed was Smilegate's downfall I guess.

Hacking: Valve's prime status implementation is a success and I'm yet to find a cheater so far. Moment of silence for the new players.... (I will say in the past I ran into a few but where are they now?)

Why would CSGO have a P2W win weapon? You've bought the game that's not how it ever worked in Counter Strike looooool.

but yeah most CF players tend to move to CSGO even I did the same.

A lot of people found other games to play, it's just the reality. Even if the hackers disappear a lot of marketing is required to reel in new players and make this game grow.
